Home from home in a beautiful location

We absolutely loved our stay at Rock Lynn. The location was fantastic, great pubs in walking distance, big beautiful views and only a short drive into Keswick. The house itself was very homely with comfortable beds. The hot tub was a lovely treat and really easy to use/heat up. The only thing to note for those looking for complete peace and quiet is that you can hear the main road from the house, which might not suit everyone. However it didn’t dampen our stay and we will definitely be back.

Great cottage, great location, great views with lovely walks. Ample parking and the hot tub was fab !

Amazing cottage

Had a fantastic week in Rock Lynn. Clean, comfortable and everything you should need for a week away. Really comfortable bed and amazing views. Fantastic location and a lovely village with 3 pubs within walking distance as well as a bistro serving breakfast and lunches. Highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

Peaceful place with a view

Wonderful cottage tucked away on the hill side with amazing views both from inside or at the top of the garden , this comfortable cottage had everything and more for us and the dogs in our favorite place in the lakes, can't wait to go back .

A lovely cottage in a beautiful village.

Rock Lynn has stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are large and there is plenty of storage space. Much thought has gone in to the decor. it is situated in a peaceful location a few minutes walk from the centre of the village. There is a bus service to Keswick in one direction and to Cockermouth in the other. The village is well served with a shop and 4 restaurants. It is also ideal for those who enjoy walking the fells. We have stayed in Braithwaite many times and this is one of the best cottages. I gave 4 for location because we found parking the car a little difficult. Having said this we are not the most skilled of drivers and we have had similar problems in other cottages in Braithwaite.

Great cottage, beautiful setting

Great cottage, spacious, 2 bathrooms, well kitted out. Amazing setting, walks from your doorstep, handy for Keswick, Derwent Water, Buttermere, etc.

Hi Robert, Thank you for your review. Rock Lynn in Braithwaite is the perfect base for a break in the Lake District. There is lots to do right on your door step such as fell walks or even Go Ape up at Whinlatter visitor centre. There is a bus service that runs though the village that will take you all over the Lakes so no need to use your car once you've parked up. We hope you had a fantastic holiday. A cottage with a view and a hot tub!

Very comfortable and well appointed bungalow with fantastic views. Lovely terrace if the weather's nice enough to sit out. And the hot tub is great, whatever the weather! We love Braithwaite so the property was ideally located for access to the local pubs and village shop.

Perfect in every way

The cottage, its location and the superb views from it were perfect in every way. We also found the email communication and friendliness of Keswick Cottages shop staff to be exactly what one would hope from a holiday cottage letting company. We have been annual visitors to the Keswick area for over 25 years and we have now found our new "go to" cottage for our future visits. We have already rebooked for 2027!

Fantastic stay

Great cottage in a lovely village. It has everything you need with a garden overlooking the village and nearby fells which was great to sit in at the end of the day. The bed was so comfortable.

A great location in Braithwaite

Rock Lynn is a very comfortable bungalow. It is ideally situated in Braithwaite with good views and close to all local amenities. We really enjoyed our stay.

Just Wonderful!

Our 10th visit to this lovely bungalow in a wonderful location with glorious views. Spacious bedrooms both of which are en-suite. Good sized kitchen with utility room at the rear of the property. Lovely lounge with gorgeous views. Can't fault it!

Wonderful Location

Rock Lynn is a lovely house in a quiet location with wonderful views and lots of walks locally. A short walk up the hill at the rear of the house is worth it for the view.

Holiday braithwaite

Been to rock Lynn for many years now and every year it gets better as the owners keep updating the property can’t think of a better place to stay in the lakes with a dog

A lovely winter break at Rock Lynn

We thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Rock Lynn, a very well presented, comfy and cosy property in a great location with lovely views all around. Comfortable bed and good modern bathrooms and kitchen, well equipped with everything we needed. The outdoor space was also very good and would be great in the warmer weather.

Lovely Property

Peaceful retreat

Great bungalow with fabulous views. Clean, comfortable and in good location. Only one small negative point the sofas could do with being replaced as getting a little tired. Overall excellent accommodation and would like to return in the future.

Rock lynn

A comfortable bungalow with far reaching impressive views, though the extremely steep drive is something we’d rather not tackle in icy weather. Keswick Cottages have very good customer service and the digital information ahead of visiting is very helpful. A nice welcome pack and lovely and warm on arrival. Overall would definitely recommend this property
