Rose Bank Cottage - a cottage that sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms

The lounge has windows to the front and patio doors to the back allowing lots of light into the lounge and dining areas. The lounge has patio doors leading to the patio and garden areas where you can sit and enjoy the lovely Lakeland views.

The kitchen has electric oven & gas hob, fridge/freezer and a dishwasher. There is also a breakfast table and chairs. From the kitchen there is a small utility/drying area with a washer/dryer and space for coats and boots.

The main bathroom is on the ground floor and has bath, WC and wash hand basin and is decorated in Laura Ashley prints.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The twin bedroom has two single beds, wardrobes, drawers etc. and also has an en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has a double bed, fitted wardrobes and cupboards and the third bedroom has a single bed, wardrobe, drawers etc and views towards Skiddaw. All rooms are dressed in luxury linen and towels.

There is private parking on the driveway, and a large garden with patio furniture to the back of the cottage. The garden is very private and backs onto fields and fells. This is a perfect place to get away from town but yet be within easy walking to the shop, local restaurant and pubs which all serve food.

Lovely cottage

Plenty of room for 4 adults & an excited Springer spaniel. Great to have a dog friendly garden - not always the case when advertised as such! Lots of walks from the doorstep. Local shop sells delicious cakes to take on walks!

Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review. We’re delighted to hear the property worked so well for your group of four adults and one very excited Springer Spaniel! It’s great to know the enclosed garden was such a positive feature. We understand that "dog friendly" can mean different things in different properties, so we're especially pleased the garden gave you peace of mind and plenty of space for your four-legged companion to enjoy. It sounds like you made the most of the fantastic walks straight from the doorstep too — one of the many reasons guests love this location. And we completely agree about the local shop... those cakes are the perfect walking fuel! [Emoji Removed] Thank you again for your kind words. We’re so pleased you had such an enjoyable stay and would be delighted to welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

Property was very clean and check in was smooth. Kitchen was well equipped and you had more than one cup glass plate etc per person which meant we weren’t washing up all the time. Beds were comfortable and it was handy to have a washing machine as we had a toddler with us. Parking was poor - property is on a narrow road that has quite a few cars going up and down. We had two suv type cars and it was a real struggle to get them both off the road. Property describes itself as dog friendly but dogs are not allowed in bedrooms which should be made clearer at booking stage.

Thank you Liz, for taking the time to leave a review. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found the property well equipped and practical for a family break. We appreciate your feedback regarding the parking and understand that the access can be challenging for larger vehicles. Thank you as well for highlighting the information about dogs not being permitted in the bedrooms. We always want guests to have the information they need before arrival, so we'll review how clearly this is communicated. We hope you enjoyed making memories in Keswick with your family and would be delighted to welcome you back in the future. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages.

Cosy Cottage

We had a wonderful stay with our dogs. It is a lovely fully equipped cosy cottage with great views. It’s is in a lovely spot of Braithwaite. The only warning is to be VERY careful leaving the drive as it’s on a blind bend in both directions on a single car road. The garden is lovely and I imagine it will be beautiful to sit outside in Summer.

Hi, Robert! What a lovely review to read! We're so pleased that we helped you to find your perfect property. Rose Bank is beautiful, with stunning gardens in an underrated location. This lovely home from home has a warm inviting appearance which is further accentuated by the log-burning stove to enjoy cosy nights in. Rose Bank is a great base for many local walks and only a short stroll to the village shop and pubs. As an independent business, comments like this mean the world. It is challenging to stand out against multi-national corporations, but we're glad to know that the personal touch we bring is not unappreciated. Best wishes, Keswick Cottages

We had a very enjoyable stay at Rosebank the place was immaculate. The little touches of fresh flowers , welcome pack for us and our dog was very much appreciated. Even hand wash in both bathrooms and kitchen we usually take our own as none usually provided , plenty of dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid everything thought of . Kitchen was well equipped , comfortable beds and plenty hot water . We loved seeing the wide variety of birds that visited the garden especially the pheasants. Lovely comfy cottage in a beautiful location.

We have stayed at Rose Bank Cottage a few times now. Perfect location for walking, plus buses to other walks, into Keswick, etc. so can leave the car at cottage all week if you want. Eating out at Coledale Inn is an easy walk with the dog. Nice big garden for the dog, with plenty of birds for her, unfortunately, to bark at. Comfy beds at the end of the day. All you could need.
