The location was nice for us and the apartment had plenty of space for two nights. My main concern is about the "en suite" bathroom in the main bedroom was not acceptable - it has a very strong mildew smell so we kept the doors firmly closed at all times and didn't use it. The neighborhood is lovely.

We enjoyed the location. Loved being in old part of Lisbon & walked everywhere. Good restaurants. However there were very few drinking glasses & bakeware. There were only two pots with handles missing.

We had a wonderful stay in Lisbon here with our three grown kids. Loved the old windows and all the charm this place offered!

A quiet location in a busy tourist area. The apartment layout worked well for us (2 adults, 2 teenagers). The en-suite bathroom is very small and the kitchen has the bare minimum of crockery and utensils.

It was a fantastic location but they neglected to mentioned that the “4th bedroom” was in fact just a glorified closet attached to the 3rd bedroom. The bed was small which they disclosed but that was all they mentioned.

Great location

A block away from the castle on a relatively quiet street. The amazing location was definitely the highlight of this apartment. Easy check-in process, made our stay in Lisbon very enjoyable. A few doorknobs were missing, but that certainly didn’t cause any problems.

Old uni friends celebrate 50th in Lisbon

Couldn’t want for a better location. Authentic, characterful, multi-roomed apartment in the heart of the Alfama. Only thing to note which isn’t clear on the listing is that while there are 4 bedrooms, only 3 have independent access. The 4th is a single room only accessible via one of the other double bedrooms- so that wouldn’t work for groups of adults sharing. But a lovely, well-located, v clean apartment. We had a great time.

The apartment was a good fit for our group of 5. For an old building in an old part of the city, things operated as one should expect. Things are noisy and a little clunky though not without their charms. The shower in the private bathroom is truly not usable for more than a very brief rinse. Uber does not know how to get to the address and will drop you off a couple blocks away. We found that directing them to drop off at Museo Teatro Romano was reliable and an easier walk. The beds were comfortable, the location clean. We did lose power for a few hours and a representative was quick to reach through a phone call. The neighborhood was very nice, quite touristy. We would stay here again.

Great character home

Love the location. Good layout for 4 to 6 people. Lots of dishes. Hot water on demand is nice. Only a couple things to note. If you run the space heaters on high, it will trip the main breaker for the entire unit. The reset switch is in the panel behind the big clock on the living room wall. Press the orange button for at least 3 seconds and you'll be good to go. Even though we rented this on vrbo, the whole process is moved to a third-party website so that was kind of annoying. But worked fine

Issues not related to Unit itself.

The unit was exactly as promised with all amidites. The issue was the construction that started at 8am the first morning of our stay when we were hoping to sleep in. The construction stopped at a reasonable time in the evening but then the person upstairs decided to get their 10,000 steps in for the day with shoes on and did not stop until just after midnight. The second day was heavy stone work construction all day but we went out in the afternoon. The night was quiet thank goodness as we had an early flight back to Canada in the AM.

The apartment was very charming overall. Its an old building, so there are definitely some quirky things, which we expected. It is in a great area and there are lots of restaurants around. We really enjoyed our stay. That being said, we were disappointed in several things. We found it very difficult to reach the apartment by cab and ubers were not allowed in the area, as far as we could tell. It is a controlled street because of the proximity to Castelo Sao Jorge. We were let off in the wrong place numerous times. Its very difficult to find.There was one normal drinking glass available. The rest were tiny juice glasses. The kitchen sink has no drain plug, so washing dishes was next to impossible. There is no dryer, but there is a makeshift clothesline in the alleyway. However there were only a few clothespins. More clothespins and an indoor drying rack would be helpful. There are nailheads sticking out of the wooden floor, particularly in front of the sofa. We snagged our feet every day on these. The small shower in the "ensuite" is not usable at all. The other shower's drain is plugged and you end up having to stop and start your shower so that enough water will drain away so that you don't overflow the basin and have water running out the bathroom door and down the hallway.As I said, we really enjoyed our time in Lisbon, but these small fixes would make this a lovely place to stay.

Upon walking up the hills(no uber can drive to this area) we stood outside in the freezing cold rain for OVER 2 HOURS! The checking instructions did not work, there was NO key inside the outdoor lockbox. The code that was sent did not work (the entire code box is faulty we learned so it does not unlock the outside door). I sent videos to prove all of this & was met with the worst rental management staff I have ever dealt with. They did not help at all- said they were sending “their loca team,” to come help but NO ONE ever showed up. I asked for a refund so we could get a different place to stay just to get out of the cold wind & rain & they refused. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!! It was a horrible check in process & all 4 of us got sick from standing in the gusty 40 degree rain. My poor mother who is in her 70’s could not even enjoy Lisbon due to this. Horrible horrible management & I do not recommend. I still have not received any compensation for this horrid “check in,”.
