Stunning Apartment

It was amazing in all ways, position, top end appliances, beautiful bed linen & cleanliness. The bonus was having the car park space & outside terraces in this area.

It's our third time at Villa Amanti, the location is stunning with the beach just across the road, bars and restaurants a few steps away. The apartment is beautifully furnished to a very high standard and it feels like home. Most definitely will be coming back in 2027.

Wonderful place to stay.

Ideally located on the esplanade in Ventnor. Warm and comfortable. Well kitted out and great it is dog friendly. Great to also have car parking. It would however be very difficult to get a large or even medium sized car inside the gates comfortably.

Wonderful location for a fabulous holiday

Villa Amanti is so centrally located that nothing in Ventnor is too far away. While we were lucky with the weather, the flat was so nice that being shut in on a rainy day would have still been a treat. I would certainly stay at Villa Amanti again and would quickly recommend it to others visiting the Isle of Wight.

Villa Amanti was the perfect place for my husband and I to stay - with our children and grandchildren staying nearby. Excellent and convenient location - comfortable - clean - quiet - bonus of off street parking. We would definitely love to come back. Thank you also for the most welcome bottle of wine and crisps!

Fab location, beautiful building

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment. Comfortable, clean, homely, conveniently located opposite the beach and close to local amenities. Fantastic customer service from Island Holiday homes and the owners of the property. We were visiting family and immediately rebooked for the following year. Highly recommend.

Excellent Villa on Coastal Seafront

We enjoyed a week in Villa Amanti. The Villa is nicely appointed, with everything you should need, and provides a comfortable and convenient stay in the Ventnor location on the Isle of Wight. Off street, secure, parking, whilst a bit snug, is available for one car. Smart TV with the usual expectations of digital options like NETFLIX, Amazon Prime etc. A well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, good bathrooms, and fair Wi-Fi in the main living area, everything that was needed. We booked through Island Holiday Homes who were extremely helpful and service focussed.

The summer of 2025

This would have been our second time at Amanti and it was even better than the first. It is in such an idyllic location and the apartment has everything you need. I would like to thank both the owner of Amanti and Kerry and David at Island Holidays who worked so quickly in rectifying some issues we had when we first arrive - thank you for your quick response. See you again in 2026.

Special vacation

Villa Amanti had all we needed for a memorable family holiday. A beautiful character building on Ventnor seafront. The interier was spacious and very clean. Linen, towels and housekeeping items were all to a high standard. The kitchen was fully fitted out and had every utensil you could possibly need. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, one with a shower, one with a bath. The area around the Villa was very quiet at night and wow what a view to wake up to ! May I recommend one improvement - the English speaking TV channels are very limited and the addition of Sky channels with sport would make Villa Amanti perfect. Island Holiday Homes were exceptionally helpful with the booking and sent all the important information about the villa in good time, even a friendly follow up call during our stay. We will be back.

Bank holiday 3 day break.

The Villa was beautiful, situated in an amazing position on the Esplanade and provided every comfort necessary to make our stay wonderful. We all (three generations) loved it and wished we could have stayed longer. An added bonus was that we could park the car on the drive without searching for a space on the road. The local shops/restaurants/cafes were excellent and everyone was so friendly. Our only criticism was that the previous occupants had not cleaned the crockery/cutlery when they left so we had to run everything through the dishwasher first. This is the reason for the lower score for cleanliness otherwise it would have been 5 as the towels, bedding etc., were spotless.

A lovely holiday with a perfect view!

We stayed at Villa Amanti for two weeks. The location is perfect right opposite the beach with the luxury & convenience of your own parking space . Couple of pubs/restaurants literally next door. The villa itself needs just a tiny bit of tlc…there’s a damp patch on the kitchen ceiling, the drainpipe outside needs a new bracket attaching it to the wall. A gate in the small fence by the seating area would be very helpful too. The people upstairs weren’t there until our last night but it is quite noisy when they’re there but I suppose given the age of the building there’s not much soundproofing! All in all a fabulous stay in a really lovely apartment & we hope to stay again.

Uniquely beautiful

What a fantastic week ! The villa was positioned in a fantastic position with sea views and literally less than 1 minute from the beach. Very accessible private parking which is a massive bonus. The villa is absolutely beautiful and quirky too. It contains everything you need for a very special stay. The only thing that was a little bit of a problem was that the water wasn’t very hot but we spoke to the maintenance man so hopefully this will be sorted. The outside areas were lovely, secure and spacious which is fantastic if you are taking your dog with you. On arrival there was a lovely bottle of wine and a big bag of crisps which was very welcome! Thank you. Overall a very wonderful stay and I would recommend anyone who visits the island to stay at Villa Amanti.

September stay at the Villa

The Villa Amanti apartment is a really nice property, iiked the layout, I enjoyed my stay. The leather sofa is the lounge area is dangerously comfy. Sat outside in the front terrace area in the sunshine Sunday afternoon. Big outside seating area at the back but as the weather was a bit testy on other days, did not have the chance to sample it. Within easy walking distance of various eateries, restaurants, pubs... literally a stone's throw from the beach. I'm a non-driver but it was a stress-free journey from Ryde by bus to Ventnor (bit over an hour), and I idled in a nearby pub for lunch and drinks until check-in time. Recommend The Hambrough and Smoking Lobster for eating out.

Beautiful apartment in great location

Villa Amante is in a prominent location on Ventner Esplanade. The apartment is very much as shown in the photographs. It’s a great size and very comfortable. We found it to be very quiet which considering its location next to a couple of bars was amazing. The Villa has lots of storage space so it doesn’t get cluttered. One of the biggest benefits is the private parking, (Unfortunately it does mean that your view is of the car rather than the sea, but that can’t be helped) The apartment is well equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The absolute best bit of about the villa is its proximity to the beach allowing you to just nip across the road and sit on the sand. Its perfectly located for the bars and restaurants in Ventnor esplanade we almost had no reason to leave Ventnor.

A mixed review

Villa Amanti is in a great location and it’s lovely to see and hear the sea from the living room. It is conveniently located for the beach shops and nearby walks. The parking space on the drive is a bonus. When we arrived the apartment was not very clean, smelt of pets, lots of long hairs in the bathroom and stained cups in the kitchen. The cleaners had not replenished the toilet rolls and hand soap and we had to go out immediately and buy these from the local shop which was disappointing. In the main bedroom there is a smell of damp which is due to the built in wardrobe having mould and damp in it. This is clearly evident and needs addressing.

Disappointing holiday which I would never like to repeat.

Unfortunately Villa Amanti was a huge disappointment. The bottom of one toilet bowl was extensively covered with lime scale and stained brown with faeces. Light bulbs were out in three areas of the apartment - all the lights were out in the ceiling of the master bedroom - light out in corridor - several lights out in the sitting room. Stone floor tiles had not been vacuumed or mopped so I was walking on grit.

6/10 Okay

Excellent location, disappointing and tired interior

This building is iconic in Ventnor and has been beautifully restored externally, a perfect location on the beach front which we have wanted to stay in for many years. Unfortunately the interior accommodation was disappointing with tired decor, soft furnishings and furniture that all needs attention, plus the smell of damp/drains was quite apparent on arrival. Grubby walls, lampshades, cushions, seating and headboards, plus damaged furniture inside and out, a damaged freezer compartment in the fridge which didn’t work at all added to the disappointment. Thankfully the weather was beautiful so we could enjoy being out and about, as the TV isn’t connected to the internet so there was not much choice other than freeview. Therefore cost we feel for this property isn’t great value for money, and reading the description the “luxury and high quality” statement is misleading. We wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

Thank you for your feedback, this does come as a surprise to us as we have been receiving 5 star reviews, 2 in August this year. We will feed this back to the owner and the housekeeper and visit the property shortly to assess the accommodation accordingly. There are a high level of repeat bookings for this accommodation and it has been very popular over the last few years, the heavy rain this year and high humidity levels in the Ventnor area generally, were exasberated this year. We have not had any previous reviews of this nature so will take this seriously and, as mentioned, visit the property to review it thoroughly. Kind regards Island Holiday Homes
