Fantastic property, decorated to a high standard and very well equipped.

Fantastic property, decorated to a high standard and very well equipped. Lovely, welcoming host who was on hand should you need anything but also discreet and respectful of your privacy. Wonderful seating areas and the hot tub was a welcome addition after a day sightseeing. Peaceful location, shop not too far and harbour town of Amble a short drive away. Would highly recommend staying at this property and would definitely come again.

Fantastic clean and comfortable property, wonderful host. The property has everything you need for a week away, perfect base for seeing the wonderful area of Northumberland and coming back to relax in the hot tub and lounging in the living area. Hidden gem 👍🏻

Had a fabulous stay over the Christmas.

Had a fabulous stay over the Christmas. it was perfect and more the owner’s was on hand if needed. definitely would recommend this cottage. all ready looking to book up again in the summer. massive 5stars+. everything you need for a nice little getaway

This is a little gem hidden off the road and a good location for sightseeing as most places to visit

This is a little gem hidden off the road and a good location for sightseeing as most places to visit are 30 minutes away, with Seahouses and Bamburgh being an hour away. There is a lovely country park, with lake and beach about ten minutes away in the car, but also walkable from the cottage. Check for events at the Country park as the main car park by the cafe/visitors centre can be closed to cater for the event. There is a small shopping centre nearby as well, walkable, but with a car park. The cottage is next to the owners and goes into their garden. The bedrooms windows do look into their property, but with blinds you can have privacy. In the summer these don’t block the light out fully. The bedrooms tv’s stand on top of the drawers, cutting down on somewhere to put hairbrushes etc. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower, the fan isn’t powerful enough to get rid of the steam and the window opens, but onto the owners garden. It would have been better having the top window open, not the bottom one. It is missing a shaving/magnifying mirror and shaver point and the sink sits high, so young children would need something to stand on. The sofa in the lounge area is ok for two, four would struggle to get comfy, due to the shape of it. The kitchen has plenty of space for storage, just be careful with the taps they sit high and the spray will hit the sink and spray all over. There is a lovely outdoor seating area with hot tub, which is under cover. There is another covered area by the door, with a sofa, coffee table which is nice and sheltered.The welcome pack is all local produce, which is nice. The owners give you a warm welcome and are quick to respond to queries if you have any. The niggles are tv’s in the bedrooms (which we never have on) would be better on the wall. Shaving/ magnifying mirror in the bathroom (as you get older these are useful to have), top window opening in the bathroom, not the main one. Curtains in the bedroom to block the early morning light out more. These didn’t distract from having a lovely time and it’s a place I would recommend.

We booked 3 nights at Valhallah Cottage for my partner's 30th birthday.

We booked 3 nights at Valhallah Cottage for my partner's 30th birthday. The cabin is in a lovely quiet location and was spacious and super clean when we arrived. The beds are super comfy and the bedsheets feel premium. The hot tub is very large and fit 4 of us in without any issue; Ellen would come by every morning to check the level of the water and make any adjustments needed so that it could be used every day. Amble is just a 10 min drive away with ample parking at the marina. We would absolutely stay here again and we probably will!
