Kyleview - A shepherds cottage with far reaching views across Kyle of Durness

An ideal place to base yourselves, whether you're seeking to relax in peaceful and beautiful surroundings or desire a fun-packed activity holiday. This could include exploring the vast and varied wild beauty of North West Sutherland's landscape whatever the weather. Hill walking, sea and fresh water fishing, golf, ornithology, photography,painting,sailing, stalking, climbing or just lazing on secluded white sandy beaches.
Return to the warmth of this cosy cottage with every amenity.
Bedroom 1 with king size bed.
Bedroom 2 single bed.
Bedroom 3 single bed.
Two luxury shower rooms
Lounge/diner with sofa and armchairs. Open fire (one basket of wood supplied). Television with freeview channels and DVD player. WiFi.
Fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine.
Linen and towels are provided and changed weekly.
The cottage is situated in an enclosed grassed garden with off road parking and is safe for children.
We accept up to two dogs at Kyleview cottage @ £30.00 per dog.

Very enjoyable stay. Great view, good place to catch the Ferry for the Cape of Wrath trip. Lovely warm property, comfortable beds.

We have been staying here for some time, from way back when the Lodge was called the Cape Wrath Hotel. Kyleview cottage suits our needs very well. Within striking distance of the Limestone Lochs (which is our reason for coming), clean, well situated and great communication with the owners and housekeeper. Everything we need.

The cottage was excellent. Spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable furnishings with a very nice kitchen to work in.We are regular visitors to the area and the cottage was perfect for our ‘timeout’ week away.

We have been staying in Durness for many years to fish the limestone lochs. Kyleview Cottage is the ideal location for that purpose and the hosts are first class folks to deal with

Great holiday. Cottage provided everything you needed. Durness is wonderful but be aware eating out options are limited to one hotel.

A week at Kyleview

The property was in the most beautiful location, it was immaculate throughout and perfect for our weeks day. The beds were extremely comfortable and it was lovely waking up looking at the beautiful view. Checking was simple and straightforward and I would certainly stay there again.

Convenient location with incredible views.

We enjoyed our stay here. The property was clean and well equipped. The property manager replied quickly to questions. It was in a quiet location with a short drive into town. The view was spectacular. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect little cottage in a great location

Just right for our short family holiday - very well presented, cosy but with plenty of space. Great to have single bedrooms for the kids and two bathrooms. Lovely and warm inside. Amazing views and great location for exploring the area.

Kyleview cottage

Comfortable cottage with fabulous views over the Kyle of Durness. Ideal for a quiet, relaxed, scenic stay.Important to note that, contrary to the listing, the location is 2 miles south of Durness itself.

Fishing the Limestone Lochs

An excellent base to fish not only the Lochs but also the Kyle. Excellent accommodation in the perfect location. Great communication from the hosts as well

David and Gillie have been coming up to Durness for over 44 years each summer so know the area well. David's grandfather came up to Durness at the turn of the century to break in the ground for sheep farming. David runs a sheep farm at Rhigolter. He has been working in the south of England in the NHS as a Hand Surgeon. Our children and now grandchildren love coming up to Durness for holidays.

We bought this as it was being sold as a portfolio of Properties along with Cape Wrath Lodge and Shore Cottage.

We are very connected to the north of Scotland as have many interests up here. The cottages can both be rented out along with Cape Wrath Lodge for large family or professional groups.
