Exclusive Hilltop Villa near Florence - Pool, Views - Ideal for Families/Friends
Exclusive villa with infinity pool in secluded grounds amidst olive groves with exceptional views over the Tuscan countryside.
Ideal for up to 12 guests in search of privacy with exclusive use of the swimming pool. Accommodation in 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms with a large taverna and a total of 3 kitchens, of which one is outside, next to the barbecue near the pool, ideal for al fresco dining.
The villa is on the Montalbano hills, near the birth place of Leonardo da Vinci, within easy reach of Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Pistoia, Siena and the Chianti area.
THE SPACE

The accommodation is distributed on 2 floors. On the ground floor through the entrance door you access a large hall with a settee and 2 armchairs and stairs to the first floor. On the left side there is a door to a large double bedroom with a king size bed and a bathroom with a shower. On the left side of the hall there is also a second door with access to a studio type of accommodation on 50 sqm. with a super king size bed, a living area with a double bed settee and a kitchen area with a gas stove, a fridge, a dishwasher and sink, and a bathroom with a shower.
On the right side of the entrance hall there is a door to the "Taverna", a large convivial place with an imposing table that sits up to 12 people, and enough room to have a dance! There is also a fireplace for the colder months, and a real pizza oven. From the Taverna there is an entrance to the relaxation or massage room, that leads to the swedish sauna room. Inside the sauna there is enough space for 4 persons. In this space there is also a powerful full body shower and a separate toilet.
Via the staircase in the entrance hall you have access to the first floor where there are 2 adjoining bedrooms. One room has 3 single beds, and one room has a queen size bed. Both rooms share one bathroom with a shower. Most times families have their children sleeping together on this floor.
Still on the upper floor but with a separate entrance closer to the swimming pool there is a self-contained flat that has a large living, kitchen/dining area with a gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, dining table for up to 6 persons, and settee. From here there is access to a large bedroom with a super king size bed and a separate single bed, and a bathroom with shower. This floor is completed by a very large terrace, ideal for relaxing or socialising.

Located in the serene Tuscan countryside yet perfectly connected:
- ~35 min to Florence
- ~50 min to Pisa
The villa is on the Motalbano hills, close to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. Attached to the property there is the ancient path that used to connect Vinci to Pistoia, where Leonardo da Vinci would have walked to go from Vinci to Florence. Here you can step bck in time in the hamlets of Porciano and San Baronto.
The closest supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants, and street market on Fridays, are in Lamporecchio, 5 minutes away by car, where you can also find the Villa Rospigliosi, an architectural masterpiece by the Bernini school built in the 17th century for pope Clemente IX.
Places that you can visit just a short distance away are:
- VINCI (5 min. away) where you can visit the 13th century castle and the Museum Leonardiano.
- LARCIANO (10 min. away) where you can visit the 11th century castle and walk up to the top of the tower for a magnificent view.
- SAN BARONTO (12 min. away) where you can visit the church with its evocative crypt from the 7th century.
- MONTECATINI GOLF COURSE (15 min. away) panoramic historic 18-hole golf course.
- MONTECATINI TERME (20 min. away) it's the famous roman spa town renowned for its therapeutic waters and the traditional mud treatments. It has some bautiful parks and a busy night life. MONTECATINI ALTO, the ancient town and castle can be reached with the oldest tuscan funicular.
- EMPOLI (20 min. away) is a town developed from a Roman settlement with an historic town centre. On thursdays there is the largest street market in Tuscany.
- SAN MINIATO (20 min. away) is an historic town renown for its medieval architecture and famous for its truffle market and its refined restaurants.
- PISTOIA (20 min. away) is a charming medieval city also known as "Litte Florence", it offers a great experience with fewer crowds. It also has a very nice zoo, a fun place for children and adults where you can feed animals such as giraffes and elephants.

- THE SEASIDE (from 1 to 1.5 hr away) from the rocky crystal clear waters south of Livorno to the sandy beaches of Pisa Marittima, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi and the roman harbour of Porto Venere, from where you can catch a boat for a tour of the famous 5 TERRE.
- VOLTERRA (75 min. away) is a spectacular Etruscan town rich of history.
- SIENA (75 min. away) a World heritage site renowned for its medieval buildings, the gothic architecture and much more.
- SAN GIMIGNANO (75 min. away) near Siena another World heritage site also named the "Medieval Manhattan" for its stunning historic towers.

Exactly as advertised
Our group of 9 thoroughly enjoyed staying at this property, and interacting with the excellent host. It was a beautiful base for relaxation, and day trips to other destinations.

Natalia and Alberto our hosts were amazing. From the moment we booked all the way through our departure they were so accommodating. The recommendations Natalia provided us was so helpful. She responded immediately to any questions we had. The property was absolutely gorgeous. More amazing than the pictures. There were 6 of us adults staying at the property and we all had plenty of private space and lots of activities to share from cooking to games to swimming in the amazing pool while looking out over the amazing view of the valley and mountains. We enjoyed the walking tour in the hills just behind the house to a small village which Natalia suggested to us. The coffee shop that she suggested there has excellent selection of coffee and pastries as well as variety of grocery needs. Monica was very kind and welcoming as well as the locals who were at the shop. We really enjoyed sharing in conversation with them. The property has so much to offer with the best views and plenty of amenities. Wonderful 500 year old olive trees and stone walls with walking paths. We are eager to return to this incredible property hosted by Natalia. Everything was amazing. Thank you so very much Natalia and Alberto for having us and we look forward to our next booking with you. Truly a number 1 pick for 5 star property.

Family holiday in Villa with wonderful view
We had a very nice week in the villa. We did different trips every day but had nice mornings and evenings in the pool area. We used the cooking area for cooking and barbequing. The first days were quite cool, also inside the house. But the weather become better for each day.

Great home base in Tuscany
The spaces are great for larger groups to have space away and privacy for breaks. The pool and outdoor dining area was amazing. As expected, water pressure in these older homes can be inconsistent, but was not a problem. The home is a bit away from major highways, so day trips were a little more local driving, but didn’t limit us. Host family is nearby for support, but non intrusive and very accommodating. We had a wonderful dinner prepared our final night and everything was very hospitable.

Villa with great view
We where two families in total of 10 people. The villa has a remarkable view and pool area with outdoor kitchen. A table big enough for all of us to sit next to the poolarea and eat breakfast/dinner. The way up to Olive Tree Suites was a bit tricky with narrow turns. I would recommend to arrive if possible when its light outside. At least the first time. We had a great vacation.

We rented a villa in Lamporecchio – Vinci in week 32 via VRBO. Booking was easy. The house was clean and ready for 6 adults and 4 children. It’s located on a steep plot, making it unsuitable for ball games. The house is split into two apartments without a shared entrance; only half is rented, as the host lives in the other part. This should be clearly stated in the listing.The pool area was great and clean. The outdoor kitchen worked but was worn and needs upgrading. Sunbeds, chairs, and parasols were of poor quality and broke during use. The host replaced parasols when asked. A playground was listed but no longer exists—only an old swing set. Photos showed a terrace with a view, but it belongs to the host and isn’t accessible.Furniture and kitchenware were outdated. Kitchens need renovation, and several fridges didn’t work. Kitchen items were incomplete and inconsistent.Suggestions:– Clearly state host’s presence and rental scope.– Remove or update misleading photos.– Replace broken furniture, parasols, and appliances.– Provide complete, matching kitchenware.– Renovate both indoor and outdoor kitchens.– Restore or remove mention of the playground.Overall, the place was clean, and we had a good holiday.

TIRED and NEGLECTED
What a DISAPPOINTMENT. We seriously considered formally complaining & searching for a suitable alternative but this was prevented by the lack of reliable/sometimes non-existent Wifi, as well as the logistical nightmare of finding & making a last minute booking in the vicinity. After 30 hours travel from Australia we reluctantly decided to stay, the only saving grace being the pool & adjoining outdoor entertainment/kitchen but even there only the freezer section of the fridge worked. To sum up, the property is TIRED/NEGLECTED & the website omitting or misleading including:- The last 2 klm of access to the villa is via a steep, narrow, winding, rough road culminating in a tight parking area & turning circle- The “villa” building comprises 3 semi-detached self-contained dwellings under 1 roof. One dwelling (approx 1/3 of the building & grounds) is occupied by the undisclosed resident host - The website lead photo (balcony with the view of the Tuscan valley) is attached to the host’s private dwelling NOT accessible to guests - Air con is not available to all guest areas but limited to 2 of 4 brms in the main guest dwelling & kitchen in a separate semi-detached guest dwelling. Instead pedestal fans only are available - no insect screens on windows or doors- All bed mattresses are decades old “lumpy” or sagging inner-spring or thin foam & pillows old thin & saggy- 2 small TV’s don’t work.- After a week, host provided a replacement Wifi modem with limited range

This is a serious complaint and I am very sorry for any inconvenience caused.
The main point was the lack of internet, and as you know, when I went to see the local internet provider, they said that during the recent storm a falling tree damaged the main internet cable.
This was unfortunate and totally out of our control.
I must also address your other complaints. The drive to the villa is a typical Tuscan country lane in the midst of olive groves. It might be something you did not like but most guests treasure its beauty.
I live in a completely separate part of the building and the layout of the property with its plans are made available at the time of booking. When I am on site, at the time the guests are away or at night, I do the daily chores, such as checking the pool water, disposing of the garbage, watering the gardens. I am also available for anything that the guests might request.
The day that you left I found out about one of the four refrigerators partially not working and that has been immediately replaced with a new one. It would have been replaced earlier should you have reported its malfunctioning. I always promptly deal with any request from the guests, and my mission is to make everyone happy. That's what makes me happy!

Fantastisk ophold på olivengård i Toscana
Vi var 3 generationer bestående af 10 personer i alt.
Alt fungerede perfekt under vores ophold på olivengården herunder stor og lækker pool med tilhørende grill og køkkenfaciliteter, hvor vi opholdt os det meste af tiden.
Vi blev mødt med stor og venlig hjælpsomhed fra værtsparrets
side, som også bidrog med gode råd og ideer under opholdet.

En sand perle i Toscana 👌
Er kommet hjem fra en fantastisk ferie! Meget rent hus, hjælpsomme og søde værtspar. Vi brugte det store udekøkken og den overdækket terrasse hele tiden. Udsigten var fantastisk - men vejen op til huset er ikke for sarte sjæle. Er ikke egnet til store biler!
Vil klart anbefale det til andre.

Det var et fantastisk sted. Hvis man er flere familier afsted, er der både mulighed for at alle kan sidde og spise og hygge sammen, og at man kan trække sig og få lidt privatliv hver for sig. Det var en fantastisk vært, der både før og under besøget var utrolig hjælpsom i forhold til indtjeningen og oplevelser i området. Vi nød det store overdække område oppe ved poolen utrolig meget. Vi lavede mad sammen, spillede spil og snakkede.

Agréable séjour
Nous sommes partis en vacances en famille à 3 couples dont 2 avec enfants. Chacun avait son coin pour dormir dans le calme. Les 2 chambres de l'étage ne sont pas pourvues de la climatisation.
L'espace piscine est très appréciable, prévoir plus de vaisselle dans la cuisine d'été.
Natalia est accueillante, de bons conseils.

Semaine de vacances au tree olives
Vacances très agréables dans cette grande maison.

I spend the summer months at the villa, taking care of our guests, the garden, and the swimming pool, creating the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere that people come to Tuscany to experience. After the olive harvest and the production of our olive oil, I travel to Cambridge, where I work throughout the winter at The Fitzwilliam Museum, the fine arts museum of the University of Cambridge.
From the end of May until the end of October, I return to Italy, where I work both at the villa and as a professional tour guide. I hold an official Cambridge guide licence and have many years of experience working with travellers from all over the world.
It was here, among the Tuscan hills and olive groves, that some of the happiest years of our lives were spent. This is where Alberto and I raised our children, Andrei and Laura, who are now 19 and 16 years old.
I always enjoy sharing my favourite places with guests and offering personal recommendations — from small family-run restaurants to hidden corners of Tuscany that most visitors would never discover on their own.
It is a great pleasure for me to welcome guests from all over the world and help them experience the real Tuscany — peaceful, beautiful, rich in culture, flavours, art, and authentic traditions. Many guests are especially interested in learning more about the production of olive oil, this ancient symbol of Mediterranean life, still made here with deep respect for nature and tradition.

Although this is a peaceful and quiet place, where the sounds of birdsong and distant church bells fill the air, it is also perfectly located for visiting some of Tuscany’s most beautiful cities, including Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca and Pistoia.
