We really loved our stay and had a great winter break. The welcome was wonderful and the property had everything you need and more. Great space to be together as a family and some lovely places to walk directly from the house

Family Week

A good time had by the family of 9.Everything you need is provided. 15 min walk into the village/Craster Arms etc. One obsevation not a complaint: The garden could do wil some TLC. We made good use of the Games Room. Would recomend and will be back again soon. Thanks for the Welcome pack. Wine Tea Coffie Etc.

Lovely family stay

We stayed here as a family for my sons 50th Birthday, 9 of us in Shepherds Cottage and 2 of us in the Bothy Its a beautiful place in a beautiful location within walking distance to Beadnell beach and the local pub. The family loved it and especially the games room where they retreated to on an evening after a busy day exploring beautiful Northumberland. It has everything you could possibly need, we had bbq one evening which you can use rain or shine and is a good congregational space for the men to discuss football whilst cooking Its well equipped with everything you need for large family gatherings, with plenty of space for everyone. This is wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last

Outstanding Holiday Cottage

Shepherd’s Cottage provides everything you could want from a holiday cottage. The cottage and gardens are beautiful, extremely clean, well equipped, great sized rooms all with ensuites and fantastic eating and relaxation areas. Perfect for a large group with easy access to Beadnell and surrounding areas. The games room topped it off and provided fun entertainment for the whole family. Sam and the team couldn’t do more to help and the amazing welcome hamper was a lovely surprise at the start of our stay. I would definitely recommend Shepherd’s Cottage and we are already planning our next visit!

3rd times a charm

We have been lucky enough to visit 3 times as a family. 1st time with both Mum and dad 2nd time with just Dad, his favourite cottage. 3rd time to enjoy the beautiful cottage.

A really nice place for a family stay

I strayed here for 5 nights with my grown up children and their partners and my grand daughter. It was almost perfect for what we needed.

A perfect location for a family gathering

The cottage is bigger than i imagined and really well arranged two families with little children and granparents. Great garden , huge games room and bbq hut kept everyone happy.

Another fabulous stay

Just back from another week at the Cottage, Lodge & Bothy. It’s the ideal place for a family gathering, we had 15 adults, 4 kids and 4 dogs! Everyone had a great time, the cottages have everything you need and we always enjoy our time here. Weather was great for us and we even managed a swim in the sea everyday. Hope to return next year!

Holiday with family and friends

Wow this place is amazing Front the front it looks like a normal bungalow but when you go in it’s wonderful So many rooms, games room and barbecue hit outside too in the large garden We loved it so much we have booked again

Spectacular cottage in fabulous location

Perfect cottage to stay in as a family whilst celebrating my daughter's wedding in the area which is my childhood home. The house is simply stunning and huge! Would definitely try to book again!

Fantastic hosts as always, on hand to help but not intrusive.

Our second stay in this beautiful property, hosts are lovely and can't do enough for you. Wonderfully spacious and well equipped with lovely comfy beds. Highly recommended.

Fantastic location and lovely cottage

This was our 12th stay and it was as amazing as always, didn't want to come home. The cottage has everything you need and the games room is always popular. Sam is very friendly and is there to help with anything you need, would highly recommend, looking forward to our next stay x

Beautiful family cottage

Beautiful cottage great location 8 adults and 2 dogs , there was enough room to have time on your own if you wanted to . The indoor BBQ was great used it on a rainy day games room was a bonus’s for those night in . The cottage had everything you needed very comfortable beds great seating area .

Apart from the weather, everything was fine - the bedrooms, lounges, conservatory, kitchen, games room and BBQ hut. All made full use of by our 8 members. Thank you very much.

Family break

Great layout for extended family holiday, bed and pillows were spot on, one of the few places I have stayed where the bed and pillows suited me perfectly. Games room was fantastic and got a lot of use by all the family, having the separate conservatory, TV room and reading room as well as the games room meant if anyone wanted alone space they didn’t need to go to their bedroom which was great for those doing the odd bit of work while there.

The Heald Clan

A brilliant cottage in a good location,We as a famliy had a great time there, from cooking in the barbecue hut to spending time in the games room, the first I've seen on a guest cottage with a full size snooker table. Our granddaughter loved playing in tge spacious garden. A huge thanks to our host Samamtha and the team for providing a welcoming space for our holiday.

lovely family Christmas holiday

A lovely spacious house. Ideal for bringing the family together. The games room was a huge hit. The garden was perfect for the dogs. Beautiful views. Lovely cosy lounge with the fire. Lovely farmhouse kitchen. A very homely feel about the house. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic large family stay

We loved the layout and overall size of the property, not to mention the games room and BBQ pit in the garden. We couldn't have found a better location especially given the poor weather we experienced. It's got everything you need for a stay and we had a great time each and every day. There was the odd spot of dust here and there (under the beds) and a few cupboard doors need some attention but it didn't detract from the overall experience.

Lovely house for family celebration

Shepherd’s cottage is comfortable and deceptively spacious. Conservatory is beautiful, Games room is incredible and snooker and pool tables are as new. Bathrooms need an upgrade but I believe that’s going to happen in the near future. All in all a good choice for our family get- together!

Loved it!

Loved staying here, 4 adults 3 kids and 3 dogs. Cottage had everything we needed and a big garden for dogs and kids. The kids loved the games room which is a super addition to any holiday. A great location for exploring…we went to Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh beaches. The newly refurbished rooms were stunning! Will definitely be back one day. Sam and family are very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.
