Back on the 30th of May 1550, this square also hosted a ferocious battle between violent ambushers and the town’s peasant community. To celebrate the bravery shown by those who fought on this day, modern citizens hold a moving ceremony every August. Placa de l’almunia is situated just over 10 minutes away from the villa.
