We appreciate you taking the time to write a review. People have greatly varying preferences as to the type of pillow they prefer. If you are partial to a particular pillow I recommend bringing it with you or ask us for something more to your liking. We have plenty of options. Also if you are having issues with the internet, please let us know as usually it is a quick fix.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Please note that a four-wheel-drive vehicle is not necessary to access the property so when there was significant snow on the ground.

I appreciate Meghan’s replay. Please note, that the yurt she was staying in has a “wind kit” as part of its structure, making it very stable. The other yurt to which she is referring had a tree fall across its deck during Helene which was a 500 year event. The possibility that this type of thing had the potential to happen was known to us and our yurts were not occupied during this extremely rare event.

The tv is working fine at this time so I am not sure what the issue was when you were there. Please note that we encourage guests to call us at anytime if they are having trouble with something like the tv and we will happy to help remedy the problem but it sounds like you were content with the peace and quiet.

I appreciate Cindy’s review and apologize for Luna’s barking. She belongs to my son, who lives down the road and keeps an eye on things for everyone. She barks when there is a bear in the area. I took care of the issue as soon as Cindy let me know it was a problem for her. Also the WiFi has been completely updated since Cindy’s visit.

We always appreciate hearing back from our guests. We had the unusual occurrence of there being an unoccupied day before these guests arrived, and we had turned off the ac. I forgot to turn it back on. That one is on me. Cobwebs happen in a matter of hours in a yurt and sometimes we miss seeing them, so if they are a big issue to you then maybe a yurt is not for you. I apologize for the dirty dishes. My cleaner is supposed to make sure all dishes are clean but apparently she missed some and I will let her know. Finally I am not sure if “basic yurt “ is meant to be a deprecating remark but we consider it much more than basic as it has many amenities not found in other yurts.

We appreciate your feedback as it helps us make things better for future guests. My wife cleans the property and so she has a vested interest in it being in good condition for our guests. Sometimes she leaves things like condiments in the fridge for others to use as she hates to be wasteful. Most people appreciate it and I have never heard any complaints. She never leaves anything inappropriate like cooked food or leftovers. If it creates an issue for anyone please just throw it away and if I hear enough complaints I will tell her to stop doing it. Maybe I will run a survey as I do sometimes. Asheville is a very eco-consciousness community so we hate to waste things. People share condiments at restaurants all the time. I will speak to her about the utensil drawer, microwave and the dish rack. It might be time for a new one. There are other properties on our mountain and we ask that guests observe quiet time after 10pm. If anyone is making too much noise at anytime please let me know and I will take care of it. The is no mention of a mountain view in our listing but it is a nice wooded setting and you will feel secluded. I assure you the shower was clean. There might have been some hard water stains that we are constantly battling. There is dish soap at the kitchen sink, liquid soap at the bathroom sink and shower gel in the shower. The stove is currently working fine so I’m not sure what the problem was. Please give us a call if you have any questions on how things work. I pride myself in keeping everything in good working order. We remove all cobwebs when we see them when we clean. It is a cabin in the woods and they can pop up in a matter of hours after we clean them. Everyone has a different preference when it comes to mattress comfort so it is difficult to find one that suits everyone. I just had a guest at one of our other properties comment negatively on a mattress and the next guest say the same mattress was better than any 5 star hotel they have ever been in.
