Our stay was wonderful! Beautiful views, but still convenient. Would definitely love to stay here again our next trip to Colorado! We loved star gazing early in morning from the hot tub! Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

We had a lovely time at Red Rock Overlook, my two teenage sons were particularly impressed! The views from the property (and the hot tub) are amazing. It was great to have so much space and the washing machine and dryer were very much appreciated. We had lovely clear nights and the view of the stars was beautiful.I'd recommend Ridgway State Park for kayaking (we took our own inflatable ones but you can also hire kayaks there). Our visit coincided with an art festival in Ridgway which had lots of stalls and live music and a really nice community atmosphere. We did some of the perimeter walk around Ouray which had fabulous views of the town, and the views on the drive to Telluride (and from the free gondola) were pretty amazing. One of our favourite places of the holiday was the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park!Dan was very helpful with recommendations of places to visit and things to do and very quick to respond to questions.

Very comfortable, very private, and very close to Ouray which was our primary destination. The hosts had lots of extras of anything a traveler would need for comfort and convenience. I would definitely recommend.

Sheri and I use Vrbo short-term rentals when we travel and we definitely know what we like and don't like with those experiences, so we TRY to make the experience at Red Rock Overlook as enjoyable and problem-free as possible. And the privacy at Red Rock Overlook is probably the main reason we love it so much!

We enjoyed our stay here very much - especially star gazing while in the hot tub on a chilly evening! Comfortable, quiet, great views, and a nice bunch of games to play.

Beautiful views. Excellent communication from Dan who loves to make suggestions for things to visit in the area. We loved feeding the chipmunks that live behind the property.

This place was amazing!!! We had everything we needed, plus more! It was so well stocked! The king size bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean!! I could’ve sat outside for hours and fed the chipmunks….actually did-lol. We would love go stay here again if we are back in the area!!

My 9 year old and I had the most amazing stay here and hope to return next year! The view was insane in all directions. The home is stocked with everything you could need. I had brought cleaning items and laundry stuff from our prior stay elsewhere and none of it was needed. It was so conveniently located between Ouray and Ridgeway, just a short drive to either town, but still feeling out of the way. Also very close to so many activities and hikes. Only one thing to note- it is above a main road so you can see and hear some light traffic (it’s not that busy). That did not bother us in the slight, but if you are looking for a remote remote experience, it could possibly bother you. The best part was the host though, he was so incredibly kind and responsive. I had been concerned about recent fires and mudslides, and not knowing much about the area, I was pretty concerned about the quality of our trip. Dan never judged all my questions and did his best answering all of them with facts and personal experience. And the trip was incredible after all! 10/10 would stay again.

Thank you, Libby, for staying with us and the nice review! Yes, the sliding door screens have been an issue--I repair them, and then unfortunately someone tries to walk through them! But we'll fix it or else replace it. The handle locks on the sliding doors haven't worked since we bought the home, so we rely on the low-tech but more effective folding door bars for security.

We had such a wonderful stay at Red Rocks Overlook! The location was so convenient right between Ouray & Ridgeway - 5 minutes to either, in opposite directions. The hot tub and stargazing were perfect. The space and kitchen were laid out so well and made it feel like home! There are clear directions, information and labels for everything, which was very appreciated. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the red rock overlook ,the views were amazing. The home was beautiful and very clean. The views were jaw dropping. We got almost 2 feet of snow during our stay which made staying at the home and enjoying the hot tub even better. Will definitely be back.

We loved this house and our stay! Everything was perfectly clean, well stocked with everything we needed and we enjoyed the hot tub at every opportunity. Super close to both Ouray and Orvis Hot Springs (we preferred Orvis.) The owners and the property manager were great with communication. We’ll definitely be back.

This place is an absolute dream spot. Quiet and secluded with all the amenities!! The views are amazing from the cabin as well. Quick drive to many top attractions. The hosts were fantastic to work with and quickly answered any question we had...great communication the entire trip.
