A beautiful place to stay with amazing facilities. A great relaxing base from which to explore the local area. From booking, checkin to check out communication was excellent.

The home was just great so unusual being in a historic trullo. Gianluca was very attentive throughout the entire process. The area was very rural but felt safe at all times.

excellent villa - very helpful that some basics were already in the villa when we arrived. outdoor space is great and swimming pool big enough. Loved the pizza oven.

We loved our stay in our very own trullo - with all the modern comforts! Valentina was so helpful and gracious. The house had everything we needed and is in a perfect location to see the local sights.

Lovely property being a refurbished Trullo which has been sympathetically extended. Very comfortable with a number of additional facilities which made our stay more enjoyable - coffee machine, table tennis table, beech towels, BBQ & pizza oven. Lovely pool and outdoor space. Close to the main key attractions of the region - Alberobello, Polignano and Locorotondo. Wouldn't hessitate to recommend.

Trulli Fantastic

Fantastic Villa, great Pool. We had an amazing week, very private and great facilities, we got slightly obsessed with the Pizza Oven. Welcome from host rep was lovely, explained everything thoroughly and was bang on time when we were set to check out. I would thoroughly recommend a visit, just be careful following satnav , as we entered the lane from the wrong end and was very bumpy and narrow , much better to come from the main road side.

Highly recommend

I can not say enough great things about this property and location. The home has everything that you need during your stay and amazing AC. The location is 10 minutes from the grocery store , Alberobello, Locorotondo and Martina Franca. The host was very communicative and the check process was easy. Two things to note: if your a tall person or big the shower maybe a little tight and you have to dispose of you garbage about 7 minutes down the road.

Comfortable trullo, beautiful location.

Trullo Olivia is the best of both worlds, cool and traditional in the original trullo and comfortable and modern in the kitchen and bedrooms. It has everything needed to entertain inside and a good bbq outside. Unforunately the pool was not functioning properly from the start of our stay and although useable initially we became wary of using it with no filtration. The problem was temporarily resolved on our last day with the kind intervention of the owners of the property. As mentioned in a previous review the bin situation is unusual, involving having to take black bags and recycling 4 kms to the rubbish collection point. Having to plan in your rubbish disposal while on holiday is something we have never encountered before, even when staying in remote properties. Overall we had a wonderful holiday, the surrounding towns are beautiful, the local restaurants excellent and the area of Puglia is beautiful, a good base to visit the amazing Alberobello but also close enough to the coast for a wonderful day by the sea.

Perfection in Puglia

We (2 couples) stayed at Trullo Olivia for 3 weeks in June. From the point of booking to our departure, our hosts, Jan and Bob, were welcoming and accommodating - offering lots of good information about the area and specifically, the trullo. The setting is bucolic and exactly what we were hoping for. Set in the gorgeous Puglian countryside - yet only minutes from Alberobello - this was the perfect location from which to explore the markets, towns, and even the seaside. With unusually high temps for June, the pool was a godsend, and was kept pristine by the Puglian Pools team during our stay. We had a couple of minor items requiring service, and Chris and his team saw to their repairs quickly. We utilized the grill a number of times (charcoal can be purchased at the DOK grocery store in Alberobello), and ate al fresco every night that we weren't enjoying any of the wonderful local restaurants. Our only critique (hence 4 stars vs. 5) was that the beds were not the most comfortable. However, we understand that there will be some upgrades in this area in the short term. Trullo Olivia was our home-away-from-home for 3 wonderful weeks. If you're looking for a lovely, away-from-it-all holiday home, in an area with fabulous local colour and the best of Southern Italy, this is the place.

Dejligt område

Alberobello er et rigtigt dejligt område at besøge. Huset var også dejligt men med en del mangler. Vi havde lejet huset i en uge men de første 4 dage blev poolen ikke ordnet. Der var ingen cirkulation på vandet og der blev ikke lukket nyt vand i hvilket resulterede i at mange insekter flød rundt i poolen og vi måtte selv fjerne disse hver gang vi skulle bade. Onsdag blev dette ordnet men til gengæld blev vippen fjernet hvilket vi godt kunne forstå da den var ved at knække men ingen nu blev sat op inden vi rejste. Internet virkede ikke de første dage og ved henvendelse til bureau blev vi afvist. Da vi ringede til ejer selv skete der noget men det virkede kun med lav hastighed resten af tiden. Det ligger meget langt ude på landet hvilket giver dårlig telefondækning og dette ville have været ønskeligt at vide på forhånd. Alt i alt et dejligt hus men med for mange fejl og mangler i forhold til pris. Stedet er umuligt at finde ud fra beskrivelse i hvert fald når man ankommer om aftenen så en bedre beskrivelse vil være ønskeligt.

Trullo Olivia ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft für 6 Personen. Der Trullo liegt außerhalb, sehr ruhig, in einer wunderschönen Gartenanlage mit einem großen Pool, mehrere Sitzbereiche im Außenbereich (Esstisch, Sofas, Sonnenliegen). Die Küche ist ausreichend groß , gut ausgestattet (Backofen, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Espresso-Maschine, Toaster, Wasserkocher, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine, Kühlschrank und Gefrierschrank). Es gibt drei Schlafzimmer: 1 x mit Doppelbett und angeschlossenem Bad, 1 x mit Doppelbett und 1 x mit 2 Einzelbetten. Diese beiden Schlafzimmer haben ein weiteres Bad (mit sehr niedriger Dusche). Alles Schlafzimmer haben ausreichend Stauraum. Im Außenbereich gibt es einen Grill (sehr sauber!) und einen Pizzaofen. Check-in und Check-out waren absolut problemlos (Kontakt vorab per Email, Telefon oder Whats App möglich). Vor dem Haus können problemlos 2 Autos parken. Supermärkte sind in Alberobello (ca. 8 min Fahrt mit dem Auto) und Martina Franca (ca. 13 min mit dem Auto). Wir haben den Aufenthalt in der Unterkunft sehr genossen und hatten eine wunderbare Zeit.

The house was beautiful, thoughtfully presented and spotlessly clean. Our family of 5 loved the pool and table tennis table - we spent the majority of our time outside where there are multiple places to sit and relax. The photos do not do it justice, it is so lovely. The location was also perfect for us - 10/15 mins drive into Alberobello and easy to explore other places like Ostuni, Monopoli etc.. You do need a car though! The only negative things to mention were that the shower in the shared bathroom is rather low/small (watch out if you are tall!) and you have to take all your rubbish/recycling to a recycling centre 5 minutes drive away (and they only accept non recycling at set times on certain days!) - not really what we wanted to have to think about when we were on holiday. Other than those minor annoyances we had a wonderful time at Trullo Olivia.

Sejour agréable avec quelques petits bémols

Logement conforme à l'annonce.Extérieur joli et bien entretenu. Le linge de maison et la vaisselle sont en quantité suffisante pour 6. La literie est confortable. Très bonne communication avec l'hôte en amont du séjour et pendant le séjour. Nous avons eu un petit problème de fuite d'un lavabo qui a été réglé tout de suite. 4 bémols quand même : L'humidité dans le logement Le réveil avant 7h tous les matins par les coups de fusil des chasseurs qui chassent très près du logement La piscine qui ne chauffe qu'à 24 degrés La zone salle à manger un peu exiguë pour 6 personnes

Your opinion is very valuable to us to get better our guests' experience. We are sorry that we did not fully meet your expectations, above all that your perception of the temperature of the pool water was of sub-optimal comfort. Upon notification, we could have intervened promptly to increase the temperature threshold provided by the heat pump, for a more pleasant sensation. The humidity in the countryside depends on weather conditions. This October has been less warm and with more humid nights than usual. We will take care of describing better in the guest book how to integrate the available equipment: Trullo Olivia is well provided with a radiator heating system in all areas, in addition to three air conditioning units in the bedrooms which can allow for good dehumidification. Lastly, many thanks also for the note about hunters. Unfortunately, the deplorable hunting season opens in Puglia in the month of October. In recent days, we too have noticed the presence of hunters in the area surrounding the forest and we are forwarding a report to the Forestry Police and the Municipality, asking them to implement measures as soon as possible to limit the area and the hunting period. Juste parfait....

Certaines annonces vous vendent le paradis, et certains endroits vous permettent de le vivre vraiment…… Si vous aimez la nature, l’authentique, dans une région magnifique avec des prestations idéales cet endroit est fait pour vous… D’abord vivre dans un Truli est une expérience unique, profitez de votre séjour pour aller visiter Alborebello, Lecce, Ostuni, Monopoli, et surtout Matera..... Dommage que les plages ne soient pas plus accueillantes. l'Italie gache son potentiel avec sa stratégie de plages privées. Concernant le Truli Olivia: Accueil parfait et attentif, maison propre et équipement complet. J'ai pu faire deux fois des pizzas au four a bois. La piscine est idéale avec sa couverture motorisée et sa température est parfaite. La clim fut bienvenue en cet été chaud. L'environnement est tres nature, si vous venez, ne passez pas par le moulin (carrossable mais tres étroit) mais rejoignez la maison au sud de la SP58. Vous voyagerez et séjournerez au coeur de champs d'oliviers. Ces vacances et ce séjour dans les Pouilles furent magiques, dans un lieu merveilleux.

Perfect stay for some October sunshine

This is a beautiful property giving you the best of both worlds, the authentic trullo experience with the added comfort of generous sized bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The heated pool was fantastic and our 9yo spent far more time in it than out. Alberobello is a lovely town nearby and well worth a trip. All the restaurants we tried were great but the 2 stand outs for us were Gli Olivi and L'Arcata. Jan and Bob answered all questions promptly and honestly so all expectations were met. The property management company were also excellent. Would happily go back to this peaceful villa/trullo in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful trullo, perfect for a family holiday

We stayed for 4 nights in September as a family of five - children aged 4 and 7, my husband and I and my Mum. Trullo Olivia was perfect for all of us with nice, spacious bedrooms, comfortable mattresses and plenty of extra pillows and duvets which came in handy as there was a cold snap while we were there! As it was the turn of the season, there was initially a problem with the central heating not working (probably the first time it had been turned on since winter), but Puglia Pools who manages the property got onto it straight away and someone fixed it the next day so we were nice and cosy. Unfortunately the pool heater was not able to counter the cold nights so the pool was very cold, invigorating for a quick dip but not much longer! We enjoyed a day just lounging by the pool and reading nonetheless. We really appreciated some of the extras at the trullo such as board games and puzzles that were great to play with the kids, as well as a great selection of DVDs and the ability to login to Netflix, Apple TV etc. Lovely when you've had a busy day and just want to chill! Trullo Olivia is in a gorgeous peaceful spot but only a short drive from Alberobello with lots to see and restaurants. We enjoyed exploring the area by day and ate in for a few nights - the pizza oven was a hit! One word of caution not to approach Trullo Olivia the 'backway' that Google Maps took us when we first arrived - continue on via Alberobello! We just scraped through and had to source some car polish in Locorotondo (certainly tested my Italian to find that!) to buff out scratches in the hire car!! I'd highly recommend this property.

Rather disappointed!

We were looking forward to staying in a trullo on our first visit to Puglia. We were initially shocked to hear that we had to dispose of our own waste and were given details on how to do this. This was not mentioned in the details whatsoever. Having stayed at villas in other places, this of course was always done for us, as it should be with the maid service. We were informed we’d be charged €30 if we needed this service!! So that certainly didn’t start off our holiday in good spirit. The trullo was spacious enough and was very charming in its own way but we found that we needed to air the rooms that were in the old part regularly as there was a damp smell present. The duvet on the king bed was actually only a double and we decided to swap it with the one on the other king bed.. There were also dead scorpions on the glass ceiling of the small bathroom which still weren’t removed after the maids came to clean. There were cobwebs about on the ceilings that were there when we arrived also. I do not think the cleaning agency used did a good job at all. The outside area was nice but sunbeds unusable for me. No cushioning on them so very hard and uncomfortable. However, to be fair, I did ask the owners about this prior to travel but it was too late for them to get any cushioning ordered in time. The WiFi didnt extend to the outside which at times was frustrating but luckily we took a Bluetooth speaker so we could use that with the device inside picking up the WiFi. It was extremely remote and peaceful, however, and the kitchen was well stocked from every point of view. The bed was very comfortable once we’d changed the duvet? The agency was very disappointing in the fact I had to chase them up to ask what time they would be coming to clean after the first week and then they turned up earlier than they said in the end. They didn’t bother to come to collect the keys on the day of departure not did they contact us whatsoever prior to this. We had to leave the keys in the garden and had to contact them to tell them where we’d put them! All in all a very frustrating stay which we had to make the most of.

Happy Puglian Memories

We loved our stay at Trullo Olivia. We were a party of 4 adults and two children and it was the perfect size - not too big, not too small and very comfortable. The bedrooms, with their air-conditioning, were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well-equipped and we'd like to thank the hosts for their very welcome gift of wine plus other essentials such as water. We loved the rural setting and the surrounding flora. Be careful if you hire a car; the road to the trullo is just a track and the road-side brambles could scratch your paintwork! The Conad supermarket in Alberobello is just a short drive and we bought wonderful prawns to bbq at the fish market next door. Locorotondo and Martina Franca are beautiful towns to visit but we found Alberobello very crowded. All-in-all, a wonderful happy stay. Would we recommend - YES!

Fantastic family holiday

A fantastic trullo villa with great facilities for a relaxing break. We enjoyed a wonderful time in the outdoor area with great pool, seating area, bbq and pizza oven and the inside is just as comfortable and relaxing. Trullo Olivia is in a great location to explore so many local areas. Thank you for your hospitality.

A beautiful Trullo

We have just left this beautiful Trullo. We had a wonderful stay. The Trullo is perfect, beautifully equipped and spotless. A short drive to some amazing restaurants but in the most tranquil rural location. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely return.
