Lakeside Chateau Lake Chatuge Udlejning overdækket dock Cedar Hot Tub

Denne to etagers, fire soveværelser, tre og et halvt bad hjem er fuldstændig renoveret. Det har sin egen brønd, og vandet er krystalklart, renere end noget byvand. Der er fire soveværelser, der hver har en Beautyrest verdensklasse Queen size madras med overmadrasser. Master suite har et jacuzzi-stil karbad. Det fjerde soveværelse ligger adskilt fra hovedhuset.

Fuldt klimakontrolleret med et reguleret klimaanlæg og varmesystem, der imødekommer forskellige temperaturbehov i forskellige dele af huset samtidig. Køkkenet er fuldt udstyret og har et pænt, åbent layout. Den mursten pejs har en brændeovn tvungen luft indsats.

Der er lang række udsigt over bjergene i Georgia og North Carolina stigende fra søen fra hvert værelse. Grill ude på dækket, på den gasfyrede grill, eller bare sidde på balkonen på det svingende kærestue. Dette er det perfekte sted at slappe af!

Den overdækkede dock kan rumme en 24-fods båd. En svømmeplatform bidrager til dockens alsidighed. Dokken flyder på cirka 25 fod med klart, dybt vand og er et fantastisk fiskerested!Selv i den alvorlige tørke i 2007 flød det på femten meter vand!

Vores boblebad med røde cedertræ har plads til otte komfortabelt. Det sidder på sit eget niveau med udsigt over søen. Med justerbare jetfly og et boblende system, skal det hjælpe med at lindre muskler, der er godt udøvet under dagens aktiviteter.

Great overall stay. The boat dock could use some attention. The proximity of Marina nice but near constant boat traffic.

Beautiful home!

This place is so much better than the pictures! It is an amazing place. The large wall of windows overlooking the lake will simply take your breath away. There are lots of stairs to get to the lake, but totally doable even for out of shape 60 year olds! The garage bedroom is cute and comfy. The boat dock is on deep water and is a plus! I will most definitely rent this place again!

Josie was dirty and smelled like mildew. The 4th room is under garage and gross

The dock was full of rotten boards and both our children got splinters in their feet which ruined the time there. The host is extremely unresponsive or helpful to any of these issues and will make up problems to try and charge more money.

Great house - bad management

The house was so nice! The views were stunning, it was nice and bright and open. Plenty of space for our group of 9! The dock was fun to play on, the hot tub was lovely, and the lake is all around beautiful. There was some issues however with a few things. First of all, it would have been nice for the house description to mention yes it is a 4 bedroom, but the 4th bedroom is actually a separate suite under the garage (that smells rather musty and moist to be honest) it was fine for our group of all adults, but if you had family, maybe not so much? Also VRBO lists this as sleeping 10. We had 9 and had to put one on an air mattress that thankfully we brought with us. The property manager said there was an air mattress and bedding in a closet which we never found. I never contacted her to get one (for other reasons I will expand upon later) however, so likely in the future this could be remedied. The overall frustration with this house was the property management themselves. I received a call from them a few days before the trip. They seemed quite mad at me for being "unreachable" despite never having received a call, an email, or even a message from them on VRBO. They were convinced they had been calling me, leaving voicemails and texts, however I never received one (and I know my phone works). Also why no email or message through VRBO, she even said they don't have email set up (yet I emailed them my paperwork back)? Because she needed to MAIL me something (again, why no email?!) and it was too late, we had to text a document that was so cumbersome (after asking if I had faxing capabilities). Also on top of this she was incredibly accusatory that we were going to have more than our number of people staying there. She kept on harping about it the whole time we talked, and again when we checked in. It was incredibly condescending, frustrating, rude and unprofessional. The whole process made me wish we could have canceled the house, or that she would have stopped by to see how wrong she was. Thought I loved the house, and perhaps others won’t have the issues I did (one can only hope), the management alone would make me not want to recommend this place. I think they should get a new property manager, or at least administrative person. We did run out of gas in the grill and I will say the turnaround time for getting a new tank was quite quick and easy. But still didn't make up for the rude and condescending behavior with which it began.

Right on the lake

There were amazing views of the lake. The house was well equipped (except for a mixer). The web photo of the hot tub is misleading but was newer and very clean. For the price, it’s time for some upgrades and exterior upkeep. It served our family needs well.

Very relaxing

Very relaxing. This is my third year renting on lake Chatuge but by far the easiest checkin and checkout process. This is a professionally managed home. Not a family home. I now know what that means I will never rent a family home again. There was just a basic level of decoration no extra knick knacks laying around. The beds were comfortable. The living area is sufficient for a group of 10 adults. We enjoyed the hot tub. I love laying out on the porch and watching the sunset

Mini family reunion

Enjoyed Lake Chatuge so much and house accommodated us well. So appreciate homeowners sharing their lakehouse with us. A few suggestions to make stay 5 stars all around: lighting of steps to dock, clear out more trees/limbs for better visibility of the lake. Dock needs some TLC, lawn chairs for dock would be nice to have, Tupperware/plastic containers in kitchen, more ice trays, hope that’s helpful. Great place for us all to be together and enjoy the lake.

Relaxing Lakeside Retreat

A beautiful property with quiet location perfect for fishing, watching the otters swim by and less than an hour drive to the quaint Bavarian town of Helen.

Excellent vacation spot!

The house was accommodating and had plenty of room for all of us. Great location on the lake, close to everything! Incredible view from the dock. The hot tub was such a delight! Just make sure you wear shoes or sandals on the dock, as it is older and lots of places could give you a pretty bad splinter. Will definitely be staying again!

Fun time

Overall we have a very good time. The only thing was the spiders in the bedroom under the garage. We also had to push back some poison hanging over the boardwalk to the dock. House was very roomy and comfortable.

Beautiful Place and Great Location

Overall the experience and home were great. The property manager was kind and we didn’t have any issues during our stay. The listing does need updated pictures though. There is a hot tub and it works fine but it is not the unique cedar tub in the photo. The inside of the home was very clean and actually has nicer and newer furniture than is pictured so that was nice. The steps down to the dock are in good shape, but there isn’t any patio furniture on the top deck to enjoy the spectacular views of the mountains.

Great Location!

The location is great. Loved the treehouse feel on the back porch. The layout was perfect, we put four teenagers in the two bedrooms in the walkout basement while we had some privacy in the master on the main level. There is a separate fourth bedroom/suite under the detached garage. The house is a bit dated with decor circa 1983, not a bad thing. The hot tub is finicky. Over all great experience.

Fabulous setting & location. Just a few tweaks to make this house a “let’s come back her” choice.

The location and setting were perfect for a long weekend of “old” college chums. We had a few challenges and enjoyed several benefits. The challenges: We were informed upon checkin that the hot tub wasn’t working. This was THE amenity that hooked me for this property over another on Lake Chatuge (and the splash photo in the listing makes the wooden hot tub look eclectic and fun!). We learned that one of the four bedrooms(with its own en-suite bathroom) is located in the basement that’s under the detached garage — which was nicely done but felt remote from the rest of the house. Likely this could be a bonus if a couple wanted to be separate from the crowd, but it was not a bonus for us. Also — we were a bit taken aback by the “don’t move furniture or swap linens” comments — and the risk of incurring a $150 charge if you do move furniture — once we reviewed the checkin documents. This was not included in the lease and would have been a red-flag to me (why do they have to charge people that are moving furniture? Why are people moving furniture in the first place?). And then we experienced why: We couldn't gather around the table all together for our meals (there are only 4 chairs around the dining table inside and 6 chairs in the outdoor table). Our group was fine with the decor but wished the furniture was more conducive to hosting the number that can sleep in the beds - 8! There are plenty of positives, too! The property manager, Lucille, was super responsive and very apologetic about the hot tub being out of commission. The owner, Sharon, was very communicative with me while I was planning the trip. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend, loved the location, the dock and the back deck, and we appreciated Lucille and Sharon. Just a few small adjustments to furniture and you have a setting that makes it easy for groups of 8 to spend time together during meals and evenings — and not risk additional charges in moving furniture. Beautiful setting. Fabulous location. Gracious hosts. Almost an A...I’d give it a B for the challenges we had in shifting our expectations on how/where we spent our time when in the house.

HIAWASSE RENTAL

WE WERE DELIGHTED WITH THE LOCATION AND THE HOUSE. THE WIFI DID NOT WORK. THE AIR CONDITIONING DID NOT WORK AT ALL. IF IT HAD BEEN AS HOT OVER THE WEEKEND AS IT HAD BEEN ALL WEEK WE WOULD HAVE BEEN IN BAD SHAPE.

Once in a life time trip :(((

This home was beautiful but needs to be updated with certain things. First the master bed was so uncomfortable it threw both of our back and necks out .....spent much time with Chiorpractor... which spoiled the whole trip. I believe the beds were Full size not Queen and wish the master bed was a King..... On top of that there isn't a piece of furniture in the place that is comfortable it's very dated. We don't really watch TV on vacation but wile raining outside we turned on the old box TV to only get a snowy picture and no cable. Because its 2013 every rental should be equipped with WiFi ...... Outside the decks paint is chipping badly and needs to be attended too. The hot tub is made of all wood and we didn't go in because it was very slimy...... And the Master Bath Tub ..... The jets don't work. We spent most of time on the dock and in the water that was wonderful. Great location but next year will look for something better. The walks on the road were the best. The porch was Awsome and so was the kitchen. The layout of this place was great giving everyone there own space.

Immaculate and beautiful view

My Husband and 2 boys had a wonderful experience in this gorgeously decorated home. I felt like I was in a 5 start hotel with luxurious beds and linens. The kitchen was fully equipped and we enjoyed many barbecues on the grill. The view was spectacular and there was a lot of outdoor space to enjoy. There is a Marina just minutes away where we rented a boat for fishing and tubing. Having the large dock was nice to sunbath on and gave us a place to dock the boat. This is the cleanest rental I've been in and the rental staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
