Super Appartement

Sauber und modern eingerichtet wie auf den Bildern. Man konnte nur über duschen meckern weil die silikonfugen und Fliesen nicht perfect waren. Seife Waschpulver usw fur 1 Woche fur 6 Personen ausreichend vorhanden. Wie mussten nichts nachkaufen. Anlage sehr gepflegt auch außen. Pool sehr tief. Strand soso. Wasser war nicht klar von den Wellen

Great unit, ok location

The space was clean, mostly updated, and fairly well appointed. Appreciated the beach equipment and towels, plus helpful kitchen items like Ziploc bags, Tupperware, etc. The lanai is delightful, with a great view of the ocean and pool. The grounds are well kept. The primary bedroom is small/challenging to navigate with suitcases, and the bed is very worn (uncomfortable). The AC unit in the bedroom is loud - way too loud for sleeping - and the glass door in that bedroom (a foot from the bed) leads directly to the outdoor hallway, so it's not desirable to open that for airflow either. so nights were warm and we were tired. Overall a good stay, some changes would have made a big difference.

Maui Paradise

We are completely happy with this condo. I would recommend it to friends. The bedrooms were ok but the a/c in both were so very noisy! Other than that a great place for the family and so close to shopping, food trucks,great beaches!

Great for families

This location was great! A short drive got us to various beaches for the kids and the amenities kept them busy when we were there. Very comfortable and beautiful grounds.

Best place to stay for family

We had so much fun! The property was just as subscribed. Having beach chairs and boogie board available was amazing. Will be staying here again.

Great place to stay in Kihei

We enjoyed our stay. The closest beach is not swimmable but is pretty quiet if you just want to lounge. There seems to be alot of elderly people that stay here but our teenagers still had a good time. The condo was clean and it had beach gear (chairs, towels) which was really nice.

Beautiful property and unit

We only stayed for the weekend because we had a family event in Kahului. So while we didn’t take full advantage of the property amenities, the courtyard was beautiful and the unit itself was very nice and clean. We’ll be back in May, will check the Vrbo site if it will be available. Thanks!

Cleanliness could have been better but overall a nice stay

This was mine and my husband’s 5th stay at the Maui Sunset (1st time in this unit). Pros: The Maui Sunset has beautiful grounds and pool area which is the main reason why we love it so much and continue coming back. This was our first trip with kids ages (5, 2 &1) and they also loved the pool, hot tub, shuffle board and running on the grass. It’s very family friendly and a great central location to a lot of the island activities and restaurants. The unit itself worked well for our family of 6, the kitchen is remodelled and has everything you need to prepare meals. The spare bedroom closet is stocked with beach chairs, umbrella, toys, cooler and even a stroller. The unit is located very close to the pool which was an added bonus to be able to watch my older kids in the pool from the patio while my youngest slept. Cons: We only have one and that is the cleanliness of the unit. It is tidy and organized but we found it could really use a deep clean. If you walked around barefoot, your feet would be black with dirt. The bathrooms aren’t updated which is fine but they need something because they have a lot of grime and mildew in and around the shower and toilets. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, spatulas, tupperware etc but to be comfortable using them I had to really clean because they had leftover remnants from past use. It just gave an ick feeling. Overall, We enjoyed our time and it worked for our family. I would consider staying at this condo again.

Beautiful accommodations

This property was absolutely perfect for my family of 5. The condo was very neat and clean and provided exactly what we needed for a "Home away from home". The beach gear really came in handy!!We enjoyed the close proximity to the pool, beach and local restaraunts / stores that we would just walk to because the neighborhood was just so beautiful. The sunset every evening from the lanai was so perfect. Mahalo for sharing your home with us, we hope to return to again. Aloha!

Modern Kihei Condo

Unit was recently remodeled and very clean. Well appointed and comfortable. Included beach items such as chairs, umbrella, towels ect. was very nice. Common grounds, pool and BBQ was well kept. Parking lot could use some love.

Loved it!

This was a comfortable and lovely condo!! we love the location of Maui Sunset and it's access to the rest of Maui, the lovely courtyard and pool. The kitchen is lovely, however the appliances are terrible! (Broken toaster, blender missing a part). There are a few kitchen staples that could be added such as a large baking/roasting tray, food containers. There are a few places in the flooring that are bowed from water damage, not a big deal for us renters but the owners should know about them. One in hall restroom and the other near the kitchen. Other than that, it was clean and a great place to stay. Thank you!!

Perfect place to stay with family

We really enjoyed our stay. What could be better than looking out from your lanai to see beautiful grounds, pool & then the ocean. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Ant and cockroach problem - not worth the money

I read reviews often both good and bad to get a feel for the accuracy of the experience but rarely do I post myself. However given my experience at this place felt it was necessary: Ant problems in the kitchen. They were coming in from the joint between backsplash and counter. The moment we left fruit on the counter the ants were everywhere. Complained to Oceanfront and was told by Jordyn that the contract indicates pest are normal and no compensation. They set up Terra ant traps on counter, sink area, island etc. Suffice to say the family didn’t really feel like eating or being in that area. The bathroom shower area are showing their age: shower grime on glass doors, mold in the joints, dirt/grime on baseboards. Lastly, there was a cockroach found in the front entrance - not sure if it just came from the front door or indicative of the buildings overall sanitary conditions but it contributed to our negative experience. The pictures are accurate on a macro level but once you get in and look at the details, you see the condo for what it is; a unit that was renovated but showing its age in wear and tear. In the end it’s a question of managing expectations; i have no problems sleeping and eating with the ants if i’m going camping, but when i pay this type of rates i expected a better experience. In summary: Pros: physical size of condo (we fit 4 adults , 2 kids), amenities like towels, beach chairs, appliances), pool on premise. Cons: ants and cockroach, bathroom size and cleanliness, price.

Beautiful!

We were very pleased with the propety. It was beautiful and clean. It was everything and more than we expected. We would reccommend this property to friends and we would definitely like to stay there should we return to Maui.

Great location, nice accommodations, reasonably priced

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The accommodations were very nice, well kept and clean. Comfortable and well appointed. Really liked the pool and the close access to the beach (right on the property). We also very much appreciated the beach towels and chairs, which we used for our trips to the beach. We would stay here again.
