Perfect size for our family and right across from the beach. Unfortunately, the property wasn’t ready at 4 and no one told us…sat outside till 5:30 with groceries until she was done cleaning:( We sat by the pool which definitely hadn’t been cleaned yet. Once we were in everything was fine and they came to clean the pool the next day.

Hi, Hollis! Thank you so much for the review. It's great to hear the size and location were just right for your family. We're so sorry for the delay getting in at 4pm. Peak summer days get crazy busy for our turnover teams, but we know waiting outside with groceries is really frustrating. We really appreciate your understanding and hope to welcome you back again in the future. Thank you for choosing Charleston Coast Vacations!

Nice and clean and well equipped for our group of 8. 5 min walk to the beach was easy--wish we had known beach chairs and umbrella were available on site, then I would have spend our gear credit on more bikes. Everyone enjoyed and we loved the area--will be back!

This house was amazing. I would highly highly recommend. Close to the beach, away from the crowds, clean, w/ AC, private pool. What more could you want? The only thing I did not pay attention to (that's on me, not the listing) is that there are 3 levels of stairs, and my elderly father has a hard time with stairs, but! There's a small elevator that can be a little tricky, but is workable. Would definitely stay here again.

The pool area is a huge perk and the house was comfortable for our party of six. Plenty of outdoor seating options and the screened in porches on the second and third level were a very nice feature. For a house nestled in between two other houses it actually feels more private than that. Also, the elevator for luggage was a nice perk. Also, their customer service was responsive and attentive to our needs. A word of advice if you are going to take advantage of the 250 credit from VayK be sure to order 48 hours ahead of your arrival to ensure you have delivery on the day that you arrive.

We are thrilled to hear that the house was comfortable for your party of six and that you loved the pool area and all of the outdoor seating on the screened porches. It's also great to know that the elevator made unloading luggage a breeze and that our customer service team took great care of you. We really appreciate you sharing that excellent advice regarding the VayK gear credit, too. Beautiful, spacious home steps from the beach. Plenty of amenities. The pool alone was worth the price of admission! I loved the location away from Center but not too far…I was even appreciative of the property entrance from the less travelled E Cooper Ave.

Thank you for taking the time to review The Okeanos. The black pipe on the beach was part of beach renbourishment that replenishes the sand from erosion. The renourishment has been completed and the black pipe removed. We hope despite this neccessary beach work that everyone was able to enjoy beautiful Folly Beach.

Very comfortable house

We loved the house, it was very comfortable. We were disappointed to learn that the pool is not heated. We made sure to rent a home with a pool and it was too cold to use. The property management company was so wonderful. They are so responsive, and professional which made things much smoother. This house is huge, with so many great outdoor decks/spaces and is so close to the beach and downtown Folly.

The cleaning crew needs to be replaced . The place was not very clean and moldy food on outside. Ceiling fan wasn’t working and several lightbulbs were out. When grabbing dishes they needed to be washed first before use. Just a little disappointing since we paid a lot to rent this place and expected something better .

Thank you for taking the time to review The Okeanos. We consider guest feedback a critical part of our operation, especially during the summer, as our time in the homes is limited to a short window of time just once a week and information provided by those living in the homes for extended periods of time is necessary for smooth operation. That being said, our goal is for each of our guests to have a seamless and relaxing experience. We are a local team that works diligently to address concerns and accommodate requests during our guests' stays. This particular cleaning company typically preforms at a high level and sincerley apologize that the home was not up to their usual standards. We have provied this feedback to them to ensure future guest have a seamless and relaxing stay. We hope that despite this disruption that everyone enjoyed beautiful Folly Beach. Thank you

The location of the house was great, but the rest of the experience was subpar at best. First, I had to call the property manager through their after-hours line because, while they provided the code to one of the doors to get in, they neglected to provide the code to another door you had to get through first. We stood outside for about 20 minutes getting bitten by mosquitoes before we could get in with both codes. Additionally, after arriving in the house, there was a large painting that was just sitting on the floor in the main walkway (see picture). Second, the upkeep on the house was disappointingly poor for the price. A lot of the window blinds were in poor condition, the screened-in porch had holes, furniture and carpets were stained, and one of the fans had exposed wiring. We had to call the property manager again because the propane tank for the grill was empty, but unfortunately, even after getting a new one, the grill would not start. Additionally, the one outlet in the cabana by the pool was out, so we could not turn on the fan, lights, or plug in any electronics. Even further, there is little care up front to keep the house neat for guests. Dishes and kitchenware were just piled randomly in drawers and cabinets. Groceries from previous guests were left behind, including alcohol.Overall, the great location cannot overcome the poor condition of the house, and I cannot recommend staying here for the price. There are better options on Folly Beach for 1k/night.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We're genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations and that several issues impacted your stay. First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused upon arrival. Not having full access codes upfront is unacceptable, and we’ve already reviewed and updated our check-in communication to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We also regret the condition of the home didn’t reflect the standards we strive to maintain. While our team does perform regular inspections, it's clear that several items were missed or need more urgent attention, including the blinds, porch screen, furniture, and fan wiring. These are now being addressed directly with our maintenance and cleaning staff. We’re truly sorry that the state of the home took away from the great location and potential of the space. Your feedback helps us improve,
