Beautiful house on beautiful property. Just steps from a nice size creek , perfect for wading through. Some spots you could get all the end...at certain warmer months. Hot tub was perfect on the cool nights we were there. The house was in a perfect location right in between Dillard and Franklin with some amazing restaurants just minutes away. But far enough away for peace and quite. The host was amazing...very attentive to questions i had. Check in and check out was effortless.

This property has a built in family friendly feature: a gently flowing creek that is just steps from the house. The creek was our favorite feature, and we played and swam in it every day. The home is nestled in a bend in the creek amidst a hardwood forest. We had all the privacy and space we could have wished for. The home is comfortable, with a nice kitchen and dining room. The balcony gave us a great overlook to creek activities and we gathered several evenings around the fire pit. It met our family’s needs and wants perfectly. Highly recommend.

Perfect Mountain Family Getaway

Our favorite weeks of the year are spent in this home. Watching the kids play in the river and relaxing on the back deck are how we spend our hours here. Location is perfectly situated for easy access to outings, hiking and restaurants.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We had a wonderful time with family in this roomy, well equipped cabin. Our host thought of everything. It is a perfect combination of amenities, location, comfort and peace!

Great Memorial Day weekend

We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Property is beautiful and we really enjoy fishing a cooling off in the stream.

Property was gorgeous. Home was great as well as the owner of the property

We had a wonderful stay. The owner was great and very informative. It was very homey. Beds were comfy. Easy to get to. The setting is gorgeous. We will definitely stay again.

Peaceful and relaxing

Another great stay. This is my family’s happy place. The chairs for the fire pit were a nice addition as well as the welcome basket and other homey touches. We will be back for sure!

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

This perfect cabin is only steps from a beautiful creek. The owner was very helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Comfortable beds, huge garden tub, very clean. If I could rate this cabin any higher than a 5, I certainly would!!

Middle Creek corner

Nice house with everything we needed, in a convenient location. The porch overlooking the creek is the place to be. Comfortable bed and good shower and tub. Not secluded, but quiet. Note: BYO blankets, soap, dish cloths.

Amazing property

When I think of North Carolina, this is it! Beautiful home and beautiful creek with trees all around. Access is also easy, with good roads and mountain valley views along the way. Awesome!

Great place to get away

Beautiful scenery, in touch with nature. Internet can be a little slow if working. Wonderful relaxing time.

The house provides two sources of internet DSL and high speed through viasat. Remote work using zoom, Microsoft teams, salesforce.com, ring central has all been tested to work. Communication with the owner can provide internet access instructions to meet your needs. The internet fees included in your reservation allow access to both. It is rural NC so we are happy to have found a great solution for our guests.

What a Fun Time!

I loved this home. It was spacious and clean with gorgeous views! The babbling creek is pretty to look at as well as nice to hear. We had bonfires creekside every night. This home is a great place to stay.

Thank you for communicating before and after your stay. I know the temp dropped down to 27 degrees outside and so keeping you warm was a priority. Sometimes Florida guests do not understand the need to flip between heat modes furnace to electric to be toasty warm and if they do not communicate then it is a problem. I am so glad you were comfortable and enjoyed the home. I wish all guests were so easy to communicate with so I can give instruction, answer questions and assure a comfortable stay. 5 Star Guest. Amazing peaceful place.. Unforgettable …

We had an amazing family vacation at Scott’s cabin.. The cabin location right in front of the creek is fantastic.. Having cup coffee every morning on the water front deck and listen the creek waters and surrounded by mature trees.. Well preserved florests.. Will be back for sure..

Great cabin away from everything!

Beautiful spot with nice little creek! House needs some cleaning and updating, but the owner was willing to take our last minute booking so cleaning could be related to our scheduling. The yard is a little on the wild side, but can be overlooked as cabin charm!

This is type of guest who wants to change dates, ask for discounts, special accommodations, brings unregistered guests, brings dog and books at last minute. Despite me bending over backwards I realize some reservations I should just pass on and this was one. Guest said she wished there was terraced gardens in the backyard instead of the natural plants on the walk path down to creek. Kind of ridiculous, welcome to NC and the national forest. Comment on cleaning... I contacted guest to understand statement and was told guest had a daughter who was not on reservation but had commented that she wanted to rewash the sheet on her bed because she was a germ freak. The house was cleaned by two maids and all sheets were freshly changed before arrival. This same guest said it was amazing and are now ruined from staying anywhere else then they offered to buy the house.

A creek in your backyard

Very nice house, and a beautiful surrounding. There is a creek in the backyard and lots of space for kids and dogs to play. The tubing in the creek was really fun.

Holiday Gateaway

The house was wonderful, featuring a spacious kitchen and a large master best complete with a dream closet. The living room was equally impressive, with high ceilings and big windows. A cozy fireplace added warmth and charm, making it the perfect spot for relaxing evenings. The backyard was beautiful. I enjoyed the quit mornings with a cup of coffee.

Family Thanksgiving 2022

Very nice house , very clean and had everything we needed. The owner Scott was very nice and accommodating also. The heat was on when we arrived which made the house very nice and warm. My grandsons loved the creek and having a campfire at night while roasting marshmallows. Lots of family memories made. Will definitely be back.

Perfect spot to recharge your families batteries

We had a great experience! The house was just as described and had everything we needed. The location and creek were amazing! The kids fished and tubed down town the creek and there were plenty of things to do in the area. Highly recommend white water rafting at the Natahala Outdoor Center on the chattooga river (about 40 minutes away) and the gold city gem mine (about 30 minutes). Scott was great and answered any questions we had promptly. Overall highly recommend!

very welcoming home

We enjoyed both the home and the yard. The kids enjoyed the creek and the rock they name "Pride Rock". It was too cold to get in the water but they still enjoyed the water. The house was very comfortable and the owner had provided lots of little extras to make us feel welcome and to enjoy during our stay.

A great family vacation!

The property was great and the host, Scott, could not have been more attentive and helpful. The stream out back was great for our 16-year-old to fish in. The house is an easy drive from several fun activities. We enjoyed Waterfall viewing, Dry Falls was incredible, as well as Zip Lining at Highlands Aeriel Park. We rafted the Nantahala River and took the train ride into the Nantahala gorge, which was stunning (get the cars with the AC if in the summer). All in all it was a wonderful vacation, and the greater Highlands area is just beautiful.
