It’s in a fantastically beautiful location – you couldn’t ask for a better one. It’s in a fantastic, beautiful spot. Right on the waterfront, just a few steps from the lovely sandy beach. But the large balcony also looks straight out onto the water, and you can admire the waves either from the large glass window in the living room or from the bedroom window upstairs. A car is definitely necessary, but it’s also in a great spot for exploring the island, close to the main road and roughly in the centre of the island. There’s a very good seafood restaurant almost opposite the house. There are no shops, but Ribeira Grande is nearby, where you can easily do all your shopping. Oh, and last but not least, a lovely walking trail starts almost right outside the house; just a few hundred metres away there is a stunningly beautiful and large waterfall, a slightly fizzy spring and a picnic area.
It is a bit overpriced compared to other accommodation with similar facilities, even though this is the best-located one.
Not meant as a negative comment, but they’re carrying out work on the house below; however, this didn’t bother us – the people working there were friendly, and you only very rarely noticed that work was going on. But that’s only natural; this isn’t a resort, but a lively little village where life goes on :)
