My name is Ettienne, and together with my wife Anne-Marie, I am proud to host Caragh Lake House.
I’m originally from South Africa, and Anne-Marie is Irish. We met while working in a hotel here in Ireland, and hospitality has been at the heart of our lives ever since. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, welcoming guests isn’t just our work — it’s our passion.
We purchased Caragh Lake House a year ago with a clear vision: to create a truly luxurious short-term rental experience in one of Ireland’s most beautiful settings. This is not a side venture for us — it is our full-time business and what we love doing every day.
We are passionate about luxury, attention to detail, and creating memorable stays. For us, luxury is not only about beautiful surroundings, but about how our guests feel — relaxed, cared for, and genuinely welcomed. When Anne-Marie and I first discovered Caragh Lake, we were captivated by its quiet, untouched beauty. Nestled in the heart of the Ring of Kerry, the lake is framed by rolling hills, rugged mountains, and a patchwork of vibrant green fields — a scene that feels timeless and uniquely Irish.
