Huset er fyldt med lys og meget åben, med højt til loftet og en 1000 kvadratmeter. ft. køkken / stort værelse med gulv til loft-vinduer. Det originale bondegård fra 1873 er forbundet med det store rum via et træpaneler med designpaneler. De vigtigste boligareal nedenunder har tre soveværelser, som alle er på samme etage og sover 8 i senge. Det forreste soveværelse har to dronninger sammen med en-suite, det midterste soveværelse har en dronning og det tredje soveværelse har en konge kantseng. Designrummet kan omdannes til et andet soveværelse med en luftmadras, og læseværelset har en dobbelt udtrækssofa. Vi har ekstra sengetøj til dem, der gerne vil gå ned på sofaerne. Du er mere end velkommen til at medbringe hele familien og oprette lejr, som du synes passer. Basispris pr. Nat inkluderer to gæster, hver ekstra gæst er $ 25 / person / nat. Vi valgte denne prisstruktur til at rumme fester i alle størrelser.

Space was great for our family - plenty of places to sit and talk. Great yard to relax in and very close to orchards, vineyards and walking trails.

Truly the best

We had such a wonderful stay at Whitney and Mark’s place for Thanksgiving. Whitney had the place all decorated for Christmas (complete with a real Christmas tree!). The entire place was very clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, and it was so beautifully decorate. Highly recommend.

Wedding

Family stay from out of town for a wedding. There was plenty of space for all of us to hang out. Each room had a kind of theme to it which was a lovely touch. Very cozy

Wonderful Place

The house is wonderful, very spacious, clean, and comfortable. It is also one of the best-equipped places we have ever rented, not only with the normal things such as a coffee maker and paper towels but also with dog bowls, an instant pot, good cookware, spices, tons of towels, etc. Our dog also enjoyed the beautiful grounds. Whitney and Mark are great hosts. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Place

It was what we expected from the VRBO listing. A charming home that suited our specific needs. The host was very cordial and pleasant to deal with. The location was central to the tours and excursions we had planned.

Extremely Spacious & Very Comfortable!

Whitney & John were excellent hosts with excellent communication response time! The property was extremely spacious and very comfortable. We loved the location and found the neighborhood quiet. We reserved both the upstairs listing as well as this one and for our family, it was perfect. I can’t recommend this property highly enough!!

5-Star Farmhouse

Our week at the Farmhouse was 5 Stars in every way. Whitney and Mark are the perfect hosts: available if you need them and they have thought of everything to make your stay equally perfect. The house is convenient to all the Hudson Valley sites and exactly as described. All the rooms were spotlessly clean; beds were super comfortable and each room included carefully chosen "treasures"--from a 1930s typewriter to a collection of vintage photographs to a retro phonograph with a variety of albums. Our Sunday morning breakfast included a side of bacon and a magical mix of Billy Holiday and Frank Sinatra. The mornings were a bit chilly for coffee on the deck but we did enjoy the lovely setting for a late afternoon glass of wine and the expansive view. We were only 2 people in the spacious first floor but it could easily accommodate 8 and is perfect for families. We loved everything about this property and hope to return in the future. Thanks Whitney & Mark (and Lucy & Jackson, too)!

The house is very spacious and relaxing with all the comforts of home and best host ever of course, Jackson the farmhouse dog. Whitney is great, too. Whitney is very helpful with just about anything you need. She's very familiar with the area and can help you with recommendations on planning your stay.

Centrally located, well stocked.

This large property has plenty of room for a big gathering, and the kitchen is provisioned with anything you might need for preparing a big family meal or celebration. Nice and clean, with a/c units in each room to keep cool in hot weather. Centrally located with easy access to the airport in Newburgh, just across the river from Beacon, Hyde Park, beautiful old mansions and gardens open for tours, as well as the FDR estate and museum/library. Property owner gave a warm welcome and quick orientation tour, making check-in and check-out quick and easy.

Wonderful stay!

For my family (my husband and our two teenagers), this was our second stay at the Farmhouse (in February 2020 & February 2022) and both were great experiences! The house is large with high ceilings, a great kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms. I love all the little details - from the vintage typewriter to the record player to all the comfortable places to read. Whitney was very helpful both times in settling us in and giving us advice about the area. Just a great place to stay!

Clean and great location

Very happy with the stay. Very clean house in a quiet neighborhood. Peaceful retreat for anyone wanting some privacy. Also we used the grill outside which was very nice. Whitney was great with the entire process. Will definitely stay again

Fabulous country retreat

Loved the spacious farmhouse with all the amenities!!! Mark welcomed us and made us feel at home while explaining all the details of the house. Great space outside as well. Loved it!!!

Girlfriend Getaway

We loved our stay in the farmhouse. Whitney and Mark are the most gracious and accommodating hosts and the property is as lovely as described and pictured. The kitchen is very well stocked and if you are planning to prepare your own meals you will find everything you need. We loved spending time both outside and in and will plan to return in the future.

Huge, well-equipped kitchen & comfy beds.

The location is wonderful for taking in a variety of historic sites and art museums. You are surrounded by apple orchards and wineries, cute towns and wonderful hikes. Don’t miss the Wallkill Farmer’s Stand. We feasted on fresh corn, tomatoes, green beans, local peaches, nectarines and cantaloupe. We came prepared to can peach butter for a long-lasting memory. Live lobster is available at Gadaleto’s in New Paltz.

So spacious and lovely

We were on the ground floor and the space was amazing. Tons of living space, beautiful and comfortable bedrooms, and unique and wonderful decor. Our 10- and 12-year-old kids loved learning how to play croquet in the expansive backyard. It's quite a magical place to stay. We could have spent another week there just exploring the books they have. The owners are lovely people and it was a pleasure to meet them.

Wonderful getaway to remote work and relax!

Mark and Whitney are consummate hosts. Farmhouse is immaculate and beautifully furnished, even better than the photos. Communication was easy and responsive to questions and requests during our stay. The farmhouse is well situated, easy to get to the Walkway Over the Hudson near Poughkeepsie and the farms, trails and wineries in the area. WIFI supported 6 people who worked remotely and the house (we rented both upstairs and downstairs) afforded ample space for spreading out/privacy for calls. Our golden retriever loved the outdoors!

Amazing getaway

Stayed here during a week in April, early spring. Actually writing this before we leave out, but we *love* it here. The layout and decor of the house are immaculate, beautifully put together space with plenty of sitting areas to spend time individually or relax together watching TV or listening to records. The pictures on the ad don't quite capture how lovely the open plan vaulted living room, kitchen, dining room are. This is the first floor of a massive farmhouse, so the open plan area is one part of an L shaped space, which then moves into another room you can lounge in, then to another hallway with three great bedrooms, and another small living room. Three bathrooms, two are full. Full of windows, light, and plants. There is just a ton of room, and there is even a cool little house being worked on in the backyard. We had far too few people, and came just early enough in spring that we didn't fully take advantage of the outside grill, patio, or massive yard bounded by a stream - I did have a few AM coffees listening to the water. Great place for a family and friends get together, especially if you rented the upstairs apartment. Marlboro is gorgeous, a hilly area fully of wineries and apple orchards, up on a ridge so driving you get glances of the hills and mountains next to the Hudson. Very pretty, nothing really in Marlboro but you are 15, 20 minute drives to Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, and New Paltz. The hosts are responsive, relaxed, super helpful but never overstep boundaries.

AMAZING Character, comfort, and accessibility!

This house was fantastic. From communication with Mark and Whitney to checkout, everything was taken care of and set up for an enjoyable stay in the Hudson Valley. The house is a renovated old farm house, and the owners have done an amazing job updating it to maintain it's character and ensure a very comfortable stay. From the unique details of an old record player with diverse selections, amazing book selection, beautiful property with bocce, croquet, and corn hole to super comfortable beds and very friendly hosts, we loved our stay. They even set up an amazing easter egg hunt for our kids on Easter Sunday! Will definitely try to come back soon.

Spacious, relaxing with all the amenities!

This rental was super spacious, with each room beautifully decorated. Everything you could ever need is in this house, from linens to kitchen appliances. It was super well stocked!The location is short drive to some stores and restaurants but is also very quiet and serene. The owners were very accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. We can't wait to come back in the summer!

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!

The pictures don’t do justice. This home is so spacious and well-equipped making it so easy to do all that’s needed from cooking, cleaning, and laundry for long stays. Whitney was an incredible host, always making sure we had everything we needed and more. We received a personal tour that showed us a lot of unique antiques that we got to enjoy. I highly recommend!

Wonderful stay. Wonderful hosts.

We stayed a week at the farmhouse with our toddler and infant and we loved it! It was perfect for a family with small kids. It’s minutes from several wineries and pumpkin patches. The deck had wiffle ball, croquet and other yard games for my toddler to play with. The little touches are amazing! Record player with records, tons of books, etc. The downstairs where guests stay is huge! The biggest kitchen I’ve ever seen. And well stocked with all the cooking utensils you would need. Whitney and Mark were extremely conscientious and wonderful hosts.

Wonderful Autumn Getaway

The farmhouse is beautiful! It is extremely clean, comfortable and spacious. There were 6 adults, and we had more than enough room. Mark & Whitney were wonderful hosts. They greeted us upon our arrival, and were accessible for any questions we had during our stay.
