Smukke engelske Hunt Country Cottage

Windswept Inn ™ er realiseringen af en lille drøm, som husholderske, Jennifer og Eric Singleton, skulle oprette det særdeles engelske sommerhus i Virginia's Hunt-land. Efter mange års rejse vidste de, hvad de elskede på et hotel eller kro, og besluttede at bygge "Windswept" og gøre det tilgængeligt for alle, der havde brug for pusterum fra dagligdagen og forventede fremragende kvalitet i deres bolig.

Uanset om du har brug for at overnatte en aften på forretningsrejse og ikke kan tåle ideen om en anden upersonlig kasse, eller du vil flygte til et sted, ingen kender til og opdatere din sjæl, kom og besøg os, hvis du kan holde en hemmelighed!

Kroen har en smuk første sal, der inkluderer gourmetkøkken, pejs, luksuriøst badeværelse med dobbelt bruserhoveder og opvarmet gulv. Fin møbler og dejlig kunst overalt og en charmerende vindeltrappe, der fører op gennem 14'-lofterne til to ekstra værelser ovenpå, hver med to dronningssenge.

Beautiful property in great location

Cute guest house on property with treehouse, pond, and bridge. Great for the 1-5 yo crowd. Very convenient to hiking, general store, a few good restaurants, and lots of breweries and wineries!

We had an A experience at this lovely rental! The space was exactly as described...clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The neighborhood was private and charming, which made it feel like a true getaway. We were in town for a family wedding, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect, everything we needed was just a short drive away. The hosts were communicative, friendly, and very responsive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay

This property is a hidden gem. Amazingly clean and cozy, close to hiking , wineries and shopping/restaurants. The owners were so nice and attentive. The kids really loved the treehouse and the horses down the road that they could pet. There were 6 of us and while we had plenty of room, I'd say this property would be best suited for a party of 4 since there is only one bathroom and a small living area.

Just the Escape We Needed

We absolutely loved this house! It was cozy and perfect for the short escape that we were looking for (even our teen agreed!). The beds were really comfortable and it had lots of amenities that made it feel like home. Our hosts, Jenny and Eric (who live in the house next door), were super friendly and extremely helpful. We had fun fishing in the pond in the back yard and visiting the horses and donkeys just up the road. Hiking was really close by, and even river tubing/kayaking wasn't all that far away (about 25 minutes away in Harpers Ferry). There were SOOOO many good restaurants nearby, too (and an awesome pie bakery that you dont want to miss!). Definitely a fabulous experience!

Beautiful “Windswept”

We had the privilege of staying in this gem recently and what an amazing place. So starting with the owners of the inn, Jennifer and Eric, you will want to be their forever friends. So kind and genuine! The inn is absolutely beautiful and the most comfortable place we have ever laid our heads away from home. You only need your clothes and toothbrush because they have absolutely thought of everything. The property is gorgeous! You will actually want to do the dishes because the view is breathtaking. My only wish is that I could have stayed longer. Seriously folks, don’t miss this one!

Highly Recommend!

This property is wonderful. My family of 3 stayed here for 5 days after traveling by train from San Diego. After an exhausting journey, The Windswept was just what we needed to relax and unwind. The property is stunning and the cottage has everything you need. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, the decorative touches are classy. We visited several local wineries and restaurants - all of which were fabulous. The neighborhood is beautiful with tree-lined streets and meticulous properties. The owners are kind and attentive ..... my only regret is that I couldn’t put Peanut & Precious (their darling Doxies) in my suitcase and take them home with us. I highly recommend this rental.

Cozy Retreat

Our family of four (Mom, Dad, daughters 9 and 5) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Windswept. It was convenient to Rte. 7, Round Hill, Dulles Airport, and so many scenic vistas! We loved the cozy living area, the beautiful kitchen, and comfy beds. We were delighted by the unexpected appliances (slow cooker, ninja blender, mini fridge in addition to the full-size fridge), the operable garage door that made it so easy to load-in and load-out our luggage, and the backyard full of fireflies. The spiral staircase to the upstairs bedrooms may be a challenge for some, but there is a primary bedroom on the ground floor if accessibility/mobility is a concern. The seating area isn’t large—a deep love seat (chair and a half?) and two side chairs, but it was plenty for our family, and curling up on the love seat with a book and a cup of coffee was divine. Bottom line: we’d definitely stay here again.

Perfect location and well appointed

This place was immaculate. The hosts greeted us with masks and assured us they are taking the necessary precautions (opening windows on exit and super clean). Everything you would need is provided, far above what you’d normally see (tide pods for instance). Our two young boys loved the treehouse, my husband caught bass everyday in the pond, there are beautiful vineyards, breweries, a kids farm adventure, hiking trails and picturesque little general stores within 2 miles. Highly recommend and we hope to be back in the fall for another long weekend. Oh, and the beds are super comfortable. What a little treasure. Would recommend as a romantic getaway, family trip or girls weekend. It is the guest house next to the owners home, but they kept to themselves and we hardly saw them on the holiday weekend so don’t let that deter you. We had all the privacy and quiet we’d hoped for.

Quaint and Cozy

This was a beautiful cottage! Spic and span and very well equipped. We enjoyed our stay, we just want to let other potential renters know that this property is perfect for couples or family with children but not ideal for couples with furry babies like us, the owner of the property is right adjacent this cottage and there is no fence separating the two so we had to keep our Goldens on the leash or keep an eye on them the entire time so they wouldn't wander into their area (they also have a dog) we were hoping for complete privacy and were a bit disappointed that the description did not mention the cottage being right adjacent to the owner's house. The pond is great but not for fishing, the backyard is wooded and great to enjoy reading a book or relaxing! We enjoyed our stay but we wanted to share our experience so others can make a well-informed decision and there are no hidden surprises.

Cozy cottage in horse country Va.

This cottage was the perfect place to stay for our nieces wedding at Bluemont Stable. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay cozy beds, nice towels, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

A CHRISTMAS "HALLMARK"

We were very pleased with our stay at "Windswept Inn". The hosts were very helpful. The location is near many activities. It was perfect for the holiday season, decorated and so very cozy. Kitchen is great if you like to cook. Will recommend it to friends!

Thanksgiving weekend get-a-way

We had a great time and the owners were incredibly helpful to make our stay as comfortable as it could be. We loved walking in their neighborhood and enjoyed the incredible beauty of the open land and also loved the neighbors horses and goats. Sunsets on these walks were incredible. There is so much to do all around and we enjoyed great hikes, wine tasting, good food, and fun breweries. It was an incredibly easy weekend with something for everyone!

Beautiful property in a beautiful location - perfect if you're living in the DC area looking for a weekend getaway, but also perfect if you're from anywhere else looking for a nice quiet place to take time off. The home is lovely, owners are very welcoming and responsive, area is wonderful. Highly recommend! Note that there is one bedroom downstairs easily accessible. The staircase to the two upstairs bedrooms may be difficult for little children or anyone with any kind of disability.

Very relaxing stay

We had a great time. Windswept is VERY clean and charming. It was ideal for us as it had very comfortable beds and we got to relax. Very close to many of the town we were planning to visit. Thank you to our hosts!
