Superb location. Excellent correspondence and communication with owner. Apartment as described. Only negative comment, friends found the single beds uncomfortable. This did not spoil our stay. Would stay again

Fantastic location, nice apartment

The apartment was nice and in a great location, there were a few small things that needed to be fixed which we notified Terry about and unfortunately the twin beds were not very comfortable. There was no visitor information other than how the TV worked, which would have been useful, especially about where to put rubbish and swimming pool opening hours. Overall lovely stay and would stay again.

Hi Jackie, Thanks for your informative response. We have previously left a folder in the apartment with details on the local area, I will look at updating this with more detail. I will ask Terry to check on the single beds. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Regards Steve

Apartment

Quilt cover was used instead of top sheet. Size comparison not the same as a sheet. It would have been nice to have toilet paper (even if it was one roll in each bathroom). Overall stay was good.

Location, Location, Location!

Enjoyed our stay at this apartment Very close to bars and restaurants, no hills or steps to navigate. Great area, lots of choice of places to eat and drink. Very pretty marina with a nice boardwalk along beach. Quite a standard, basic apartment but has everything you need. Good wifi, tv and aircon. Bedding and towels ok, maybe could do with upgrade but not essential. Downsides - Pools all closed due to drought ( just tough luck, so no fault of owners) Drains in main bathroom stink ( issues in whole complex, reading reviews) Garage doors directly below bedroom very noisy, quite annoying once heard and quite frequent ( again, not owners fault, its just where apartmentis situated in block.) All in all i would say this apartment is what it says, and i would definitely book again for the area and convenience of everything.

Hi Ann, When we first bought the apartment I thought the noise from the underground garage was a washing machine. Sorry about the pools all the pools in the area were closed due to the drought. Ill upgrade bedding and towels, they need replacing regularly. Thanks for the review, positives and negatives.

Ground floor aoartment

We have just come home from 2 weeks in this apartment. We have been coming tonMarina de la Duquesa for 16 years and have had a few apartments in this complex. This was by far the best It was perfect. Terry greeted us with keys and went through everything we needed to know which was nice because we have only ever picked keys up from a safety box or shop. We also had his number for anything we needed help with during our stay but thankfully didn't need to bother him. Plenty of storage in bedrooms Shower in en suite which was so much better than getting into the bath. A separate shower for the second bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Lounge really comfortable and TV and WiFi were brilliant. The outside area was the highlight tho. Plenty of room to relax in the evening and very private. There were plenty of beds around the swimming pool and gardens and never had a problem with getting one any time of the day. Only thing we could say was the pool didn't open until 11 o'clock but understand the complex must have rules. The sea is only 5 minutes walk anyway! There are many lovely restaurants within walking distance of apartment and a very handy shop for bits and pieces which is open late. All in all in the 16 years we have been going this was the best 2 weeks and apartment we have had. Thank you very much Harriet and Terry

No

Hi María Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the amenities that come with our property. I am sorry that there was a problem with some of the furniture. Unfortunately we could not foresee the breakage of the patio chairs. The refrigerator handle looks like it’s loosened over time and subsequently broken off however the interior was still working and immaculate. Thank you for reporting the problems quickly to us. The patio furniture and refrigerator have now been replaced. We hope to see you again in the future. Many thanks Harriet

Totalmente recomendable

Great apartment

Really enjoyed our stay here. Probably best position of any apartment in the development. Large private terrace with good outlook. Very comfortable bed. Nice furniture. Owners, and the property managers, must have worked hard to improve the place as I saw none of the negative issues I read in earlier reviews. It was all really good. I would definitely stay again.

Clean, tidy apartment in good location

Third time we have stayed in this apartment and we think it’s great. It’s nicely located on the quieter side of the apartment complex and only a short walk to the harbour and beach. The improvements made to the apartment since we last used it were good - love the new walk in shower and the new bed in the main bedroom. Linda is a great host

Fantastic Location

We have just returned from a 6 week holiday and although the apartment had a couple of minor issues which can easily be addressed I would highly recommend this property. The location is right next to the beach and a minute's walk from the main Port where all the bars and restaurants are located. The terrace is south west facing and is really protected from the strong winds which can come in from the sea. It is a pet friendly apartment and both of our dogs loved lying on the terrace or enjoying playing on the beach or walking along to Sabanillas or Castillo. We hope to return to a Duquesa next winter and hopefully enjoy as much sunshine as we have just experienced.

Good location but very uncomfortable stay

We arrived at midnight to find not even a toilet roll left for us. Had to wait until the morning for shops to open to get toilet roll. Dishwasher was not working and kept tripping electricity which meant we had no hot water for a day as it had tripped electrics which heated water. Hot water only allowed one person to shower and then it went cold. Master bedroom mattress was unbelievably uncomfortable and no mattress protectors were used on any of the beds. Tv reception was terrible and vertically unwatchable. We were incredibly disappointed with our stay and would not stay here again.

I have spoken to Linda who looks after our apartment and is excellent. I have spoken to her and she assures me that toilet rolls were left. I can only apologise regarding the dishwasher, but electrical equipment can break down. We were not made aware that there was an issue at the time, Linda would have made arrangements with a local electrician. Regarding the bed protectors, if we did not use these the beds would have been stained. Linda informed me that the weather was poor during your stay, unfortunately this can affect the TV reception. I can only apologise that you did not enjoy your stay.

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at our apartment. There can be issues with drains when the weather is poor in Spain, this is quite common. Shutters can stick, and I believe that it was repaired immediately. Regarding the apartment not being ready for your arrival, there was an error with arrival time, and I apologise for this. You did say you would leave negative comments unless we refunded nearly half the rental.
