Nyligt opdateret downtown Elk Rapids hjem, huset er mindre end en blok til stranden og til Veterans 'Memorial park. Memorial Park har basketballbaner, tennis, en stor legeplads for børn og alle de gode træk ved en strandpark. De tre værelses hus sover 12 og er en hurtig 2-blok gåtur til downtown spisning, shopping og vandsport. Udenfor er et stort hjørneparti med gasgrill og yard spil perfekt til udendørs underholdende og med plads til børnene at løbe og spille.

Stort hus med en fantastisk udsigt over Grand Traverse Bay. Mindre end en blok til stranden, downtown, spisestue og en stor park og legeplads for børn. Huset har stor baggård at underholde og lege udenfor. Derudover har dette hus plads til at parkere en båd på trailer og er inden for en kilometer af adgang til Elk Lake / Torch River System og til bugten. Golf, snescooter / ORV stier, og skiløb er alle tæt på. For dem, der ønsker en byoplevelse, er Traverse City kun en kort køretur væk.

Christmas in Elk Rapids

The home is cute and cozy! Tastefully decorated and clean with everything we needed for a wonderful visit. The hosts even put up a Christmas tree for us! We’d definitely love to stay here again, any time of year!

The property is very nice, great location for visiting tunnel of trees, as well as glen arbor, traverse city, sleeping bear sand dunes, fall colors were so amazing, loved it!

Great Winter Get-Away!

This is our 3rd time staying in the home and we just can’t say enough about the home and owners! So quick and easy to communicate with. The home is wonderful! Perfect for our family. And we really love the town of Elk Rapids especially in the Winter. Restaurant and shops are located very close by. You can walk to downtown from the home. The home is very comfortable and well taken care of. The owners provide necessities, so you don’t need to feel like you have to bring every little thing from home, making for an easy, relaxing get away! We would highly recommend this rental and owners! Thank you again for everything!

Great Get Away

This was a great location to visit both Elk Rapids, Traverse City and Bellaire. My husband an I enjoyed all the space of this listing and could see bringing a larger group to this listing in the future. It was a great stay even in the non-tourist season.

Awesome!

My friends and I have stayed here twice for our annual get togethers. Beautiful and functional home, and easy walking distance to downtown Elk Rapids. We have only stayed here in the winter, but I imagine it would be even better in the summer. Can’t beat it for the price.

Great location near beach and downtown

My family had a pleasant stay at this property. The location can’t be beat with a 3 min walk to beach and downtown. The house is as described, small and cozy but with 3 bathrooms to accommodate larger groups. We had friends in the area so didn’t spend too much time in the house. Would consider renting again.

Excellence in Elk Rapids

We thoroughly enjoy our stay at Steve & Tami's place on Spruce Street. Their cozy and well kept place was a fabulous base of operations for our trip to join local friends for celebrating St. Pat's Day. Four of us from out of town and our friends from Kewadin enjoyed a couple of meals together and time just hanging out in the comfortable living room. We took a couple of walks into town, and a couple of drives into Traverse City. A fabulous time was had!

HS Fishing Tournament W/E

Great place to stay for our High School fishing team. Cozy and comfortable when we were there (mostly at night). Exactly as advertised and will stay again next year if available. Hosts we’re accessible to answer questions.

Ladies gataway 2023

We came up for a relaxing girls weekend and that's exactly what we got! The house was amazing, clean, plenty of room, nice beds and a couch for relaxing with Netflix! We took many walks around town..it's beautiful! The view from the house is great, seeing lake Michigan every day is wonderful. We took a trip into Traverse City, had a big snowstorm but it was still beautiful. We checked out Pearl's in Elk Rapids..highly recommend!! We will be back !

Great time, loved the location and the property. Perfect for our snowmobile group..

We enjoyed our stay and really liked the house and location. If I were to make one suggestion it would be to have the entire fry pan collection replaced. Many of the pans had handles missing and were very old. Breakfast was a bit of a challenge.... Otherwise it was great! Thank you

Wonderful Stay! We will be back!

The beautiful house was perfect for our family of 5 (with extra space!). The house was clean and looks like it was just renovated. The house sits on a nice sized property with a fire-pit. Lots of room to run around! The park, beach, and Lake Michigan are a block away. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. There were lots of little “extras” in case we forgot anything. We will definitely be back and recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay. I couldn’t recommend this place more!!! Thank you!

Mixed feelings

We take a girls trip every year and always at a different location. We chose this place for the location and within walking distance of so much. Although we had a great stay and There is a lot of charm to this house, there are several issues that need tending to. For starts we could barely open the from screen door as it scrapes along the walkway and the screen is broken and metal pieces sticking out. Open the front door and it’s very musty smelling. Played a big part in all of our allergies. There is mold on the ceilings in the bathroom. Huge lack of towels. There were 6 bath towels, 3 hand towels and 1 kitchen towel. 1 bath towel per person is not enough especially if you say this accommodates up to 10 people. We had to bring our own washcloths. There are excess bees all over, one of our ladies was stung twice in the middle of the night. Glad she Carrie’s her epi pen as she is allergic. We killed a total of 7 bees inside the house. The AC units were a plus and kept the house quite cool. We tried to use the TV but simply couldn’t figure it out, we just wanted to watch the lions but couldn’t even get local channels. There is not instruction manual at all of the house. We just tried to figure out things along the way. There is a grill but we could not use it as it was so dirty. There are also 2 back doors leading to the backyard but we could not use them as they were so overgrown with trees and weeds. Not much curb appeal. Lastly, the bedding was nice but the beds were Hard.

Multiple safety issues, health issues with mold in bathrooms

This house is flat out unsafe, there are multiple dangers- on the upstairs landing the wood is split & falling apart, with long slivers sticking out , nails & screws protruding from entry & back stairs , mold & mildew in 2 of the bathrooms , dozens of spiderwebs with large spiders in kitchen, bathrooms, by the doors, on the front porch &!bedroom windows, The bathrooms at the park are better maintained. I notified the owners the first afternoon about the spiders & cobwebs everywhere as well as the stained towels, they responded promptly by text & sent a cleaning person to bring by additional towels & to clean the cobwebs & spiders out but the only thing she did was apply clear tape around the window ac , none of the cobwebs or spiders were removed. Our family members were in rentals down the street & had no issues with cobwebs or moldy bathrooms. We found more problems almost every day. Our 2 year old grandson had his foot sliced open by a nail protruding from the step. My son almost fell down the full flight of stairs when the wood at the top of the landing split & gave way. There appears to be no maintenance of the property. The carbon monoxide detector was in 3 pieces sitting on the counter. The towels are thin & practically threadbare, the owner replied “new ones had been ordered” but we never saw them after being there a week. Really?? Amazon delivers in a day & Meijers is just a short drive away, so there’s no excuse. A repair service or maintenance man should have been there before the place was listed for rent, there’s no oversight of the property. It ruined our vacation having to be constantly vigilant about these issues.

Great Beach Location

Had a great stay a this cute beach property. You can’t beat the location. Overall the inside of the home was clean. Kitchen was well stocked. The home itself could use a little TLC. Windows could be cleaned

My wife Tami and I, and honestly my whole family have helped to make this house into our family vacation home. We have three kids- two boys and a girl in the middle. I am a College administrator and Tami is a Real Estate Agent in Ann Arbor, MI. We are both graduates of the University of Michigan and are dedicated football fans. Additionally, I coach my youngest son Milo who is the starting center ad long snapper for the Ann Arbor Pioneer HS Football team.
Outside of work, our family has dedicated itself to establishing and developing a property management business. We are hoping to establish a presence in northern Michigan that will allow us to live and work full time there. In the meantime we work during the week, and spend just about every weekend either managing or doing construction on our next venture!

Tami and I met in the restaurant business many years ago. She was a waitress and I was a chef. In cliche fashion, we fell in love and got married. Today for fun we still cook, forage, and fish. We also make our own dry cured sausages and hams and hope to one day also buy a food truck that sells sandwiches made on our homemade sourdough English muffins. We love sports- the Lions, Big Blue, and my son's lacrosse and football teams. We also love the outdoors. We really enjoy spending time on the amazing lakes around this home with our family and friends.

We built this house to be a place for our family- increasingly scattered to the winds these days- to be able to come home to and spend time together. We sincerely hope you will be able to do the same here with your friends and loved ones and we look forward to hosting you.

We have been coming to ER for more than 20 years to stay with my parents and to visit our best friends from college. After 16 years of sleeping on the futons at our folks' place, we decided to invest in one of our own. We love Elk Rapids! There is no other place where we feel so safe to let our kids loose. Boating, snowmobiling, fishing, dining, shopping, and so many other great activities are so close to the house. We love everything ER offers and there is not a better community to live in!
