Overall outstanding! For years we went to Flamingo Beach -- which has now become overcrowded and touristy (IMHO). We were a group of 13 ranging from 4 months to 70's and found Playa Hermosa and Sun Monkey perfect! The house is great with lots of areas for privacy -- baby in one area, kids in pool, adults reading - and nobody bothering each other. Service is great and lots to do in the area. I recommend Ginger for dinner, Diamonte Adventure park (8 year old did the zipline) and Aquasport for access to the beach with a great restaurant. I would rent it again in a heartbeat! PS We paid to have breakfast provided (YUMMY!) and it certainly did get the day off to a good start!

This was the most amazing house, property, and vacation EVER. It was a dream. The gorgeousness of the infinity pool and setting over the ocean (the sunsets are to die for) cannot be captured online. The house was spacious, the bedrooms and bathrooms were large with plenty of space. Loved the balconies in some bedrooms. The A/C worked amazingly well and we were there in 95 degree heat. The outdoor shower was amazing. The outdoor cabana and all the space to hang out by the pool and hot tub was perfection. The views of the ocean and jungle canopy were magnificent. The 12 minute walk to the beach was not bad at all and we loved walking by the local market to buy what we needed (it was pretty well stocked for being a small local market). Playa Hermosa beach was awesome! Warm water, beautiful, smooth sand, shaded trees, plenty of local eateries to get food and drinks nearby. Everything walkable and easy. Costa Ricans are friendly, kind, hospitable, lovely people. We REALLY enjoyed the Congo Canopy Zip Lines and ATV tour (close by!), the Leona Waterfall Hike and Restaurant, Rincan Thermal Hot Springs and mud baths, Rincon de la Vieha park, and we rented a private catamaran for our large group which was AMAZING. I also recommend Rocios Kitchen for local catering: super lovely to work with and food was delicious. We are a family of five siblings and we brought our spouses and children totaling 20 people. Kids ranged in age from 11-28 yrs old. This place was a dream.

The view and property are amazing! It's beautiful and stunning. We had a wedding at their other location the villa daiquiri and enjoyed having both options for our guests to stay at. We loved hanging by the pool!The location is great being only a few minutes away from the beach, but just know if you intend to rent and walk to the beach it is a massive hill for anyone with impaired walking abilities.

Great host, location, and host

GREAT stay! Beautiful location, wonderful house with great air conditioning, and the host was very easy to communicate with and help coordinate a lot of aspects of this day. Would recommend to anyone!

Amazing place to stay!

Our group absolutely loved staying at the Sun Monkey! The property was spotless, the views were amazing and the location was perfect. Macho was an excellent caretaker. We would definitely return!

Great House for our family

Beautiful property

This villa is one of a kind and is on a beautiful elevation. The views with great weather are unparalleled. Highly recommend. Hosts were very accommodating.

The house is so beautiful and roomy. We had an issue with the coffee maker for a few days and they were always quick to help. Eventually they just bought a new one to replace the broken one. The key fobs didn't work at first but again they replaced after the first day.

Can't beat this view!

We loved our stay at this property as it was plenty of room for our family of 13! The pool was a hit with our kds and the view was amazing. The property manager was very accommodating and helpful to our family and tended to any needs we had. The location was perfect - a short drive to Playa del Coco and an even shorter drive to Playa del Hermosa. We highly recommend this property!

a beautiful villa!

The villa was everything it showed in the VRBO listing. It was beautiful, well kept and the views could not be matched. But even better, were our hosts, Macho and Maria who did everything possible to be sure we had a wonderful vacation

Beautiful Home

We had such a great time staying at the property and it was a perfect fit for our large group. The view is amazing and we really liked being in a gated community. Macho and Maria made things very easy and helped with anything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!

Almost heaven

Amazing time with family and wonderful memories made. Best pool we’ve ever enjoyed!! Can’t beat the view. Large areas to gather family inside and on the patio with huge opening doors in between. Great restaurants nearby too. Enjoy!!

Multi family stay

Absolutely fantastic view, very well laid out with great bathrooms and bedrooms and well stocked kitchen. Golf carts are great for short trips and teens to take to the beach. Property manager and concierge and housekeeping were all attentive and very nice.

Gorgeous home!

The home was absolutely gorgeous with an amazing view. Peter and his team were so great to work with and best communication I have come across when renting. Highly reccomend.

We took the whole family to Playa Hermosa and stayed at Sun Monkey We had a wonderful time and Costa Rica is beautiful. Maria and Macho were so helpful in guiding us to different places. Our kids said after seeing Costa Rica they would never go back to Mexico

Great Family Vacation

House & property were amazing. Can’t beat the sunsets. Took the best snorkeling trip ever which included dolphins, manta rays, octopus, tons of fish & sea turtles! Zip lining was a blast as well. Macho & Maria were great and provided whatever we needed. Highly recommend booking this property and can’t wait to go back!

Amazing Ocean View House with Infinity Pool

This ocean view house in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, is simply amazing. The infinity pool offers stunning views of the Pacific, especially at sunset. The house is spacious, modern, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is great! Close to the beach and local spots. The host was extremely helpful, and Playa Hermosa’s natural beauty is unmatched. Highly recommend this place for a Costa Rica getaway!

April retirement!

Our family celebrated my husbands retirement with a family vacation!! We were thrilled with our Vrbo! The pool was bigger and better than we expected! The best part was the excellent communication with our host, Brett. He was quick to respond and helpful with all of our questions! We would return in a heart beat!
