The place is very well kept and a great location. Just a little construction noise with the current building happening near by other than that great place.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the construction noise disrupted your stay. We’d like to clarify that we updated the listing with a construction advisory before your booking so guests could be aware of the nearby work and make an informed decision before reserving. We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning (a must as it was over 90 degrees). The beds were cozy with good bedding. We had everything in the kitchen we needed to cook simple meals. The location was very handy to walking to downtown sites, and the bikes made it even more handy to make it all the way down to White Point Garden. There were plenty of towels and blankets for us for the week, though we could have used a quick mop at one point and had to resort to lots of paper towels. Unavoidable was the construction noise across the street for a large condo complex; I am so glad I brought ear plugs.

Thank you so much for the detailed review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the clean, comfortable space, especially the AC during those 90 plus degree Charleston days! Our comfy beds are definitely a guest favorite, so we’re glad they helped keep you cozy too. We love hearing that the bikes helped you explore all the way to White Point Garden. We appreciate the note about the floor and will share that with our team. As for the construction, we’re sorry it added some noise to your stay and appreciate your understanding. We hope to welcome you back!

Bugs..fleas? flying in the unit, Not any furniture in either bedroom mainly missing a dresser and sitting chair. ceiling fan in queen room not working. very narrow driveway tough to get out of car.

Hey Thomas, Thank you for staying with us. This time of year there are bugs outside that can get in while you are getting your luggage inside and while the door is open. There is not bugs in the unit. thank you for you suggestion about furniture, we will see about adding some extra sitting places and a dresser. The ceiling fan in the queen room does work, it is on a switch that needs to be flipped to turn on. Downtown Charleston was made for horse and buggies and not big vehicles due to this all of the parking and driveways are narrow, we do outline this in the check in details to give guests a heads up on the narrow parking.

The property is cozy, clean, and comfortable. It's a convenient walk for shopping, restaurants, and some site seeing. It worked well for us but the noise of adjacent major construction might be a negative if you're not an early riser.

The location was great-walking distance to many things if you are willing to put the steps in. Driveway is narrow so small SUV or smaller car only. Lower apartment was great for my daughter and I. The greatest challenge we had was the people staying in the upper apartment. They were so loud each night and very disruptive with their yelling and language. The walls are thin so hope for good neighbors.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We’re glad you enjoyed the convenient, walkable location and that the lower unit suited your stay. Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes able to offer it do tend to have narrow parking areas. We also sincerely apologize for the noise from the upstairs guests. We would have intervened right away if notified, as we are available 24/7 to support our guests. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and are sorry it affected your experience.

As for the construction, we understand how that can be disruptive. Unfortunately, it’s outside of our control as it’s a neighboring project, but we do note that the listing was updated with this information prior to your booking. Great responsive host. As mentioned in other reviews it is near a main road, so a little noisy, but they provide noise makers in each room. Very walkable to most of historic Charleston. Comfortable beds. We would stay again!

Great location and overall a pleasant stay. The beds were very comfortable, which made it easy to relax. The driveway is a bit tight as noted in the listing, so larger SUVs may find parking a little tricky. There is some street noise in the room with the king mattress, and you can occasionally hear the tenants upstairs. It didn’t bother us, but those looking for complete quiet may want to keep that in mind. Overall, a good experience.
