The hot tub is brand new and working great and all electrical issues were fixed. We're sorry you didnt like your refund. We've never had a gas fire pit? Not sure what you are talking about there. The garage was ready for you within one hour of your arrival and you thanked us personally for doing that. Thanks for your review and good luck in the future

This review is totally fabricated. We got a call on Sunday that a bathroom sink was clogged. I called the plumber at home on Sunday immediately and he went there and cleared the drain early the next morning. One of the guests admitted to the plumber that one of them drank too much the night before and vomited in the sink. This was confirmed by my house keeper who was there a day before checkin and ran the sink while cleaning with no problems. The housekeeping staff is excellent and trusted. The guests were told that the hot tub gathers sand because we are on the beach and to run the jets for a few minutes because the tub self cleans with its own filter. These claims are false and shameless. As for the beds we have never had a complaint. This guest tried to falsify a story and get a refund. We explained that the new refrigerator drawers were ordered and that the apparent dirt was under the drawers not in the drawers. Finally the beach chairs that are stored outside in a patio box were dragged in and placed in a closet inside the house loaded with sand and junk they left behind. Another rude act. We maintain a beautiful clean lovely decorated beach home and spend a lot of time and money in maintenance which is why nearly all reviews are five stars.

As far as the hot tub, we immediately explained to these guests that the spa was acting up and we had scheduled another service call. Weeks earlier we had ordered a new tub and was told because of supply shortages that it would take 8-10 weeks. We paid extra fees and had it delivered and installed in less than 4 weeks, which occurred just few days after this group departed. The cost was over $7,000. And the hot tub is a feature we offer but we are on the ocean, and we have a pool. These guests checked in and immediately complained that the freezer wasn’t freezing. Our inspection reflected that the fridge was fine and freezer was not freezing completely. We had guests there and the owner stayed there immediately preceding the week, but after 2-3 days of complaints, we arranged for a new refrigerator to be delivered and installed. Cost was over $2500. Because of low inventories for appliances in town, we paid a $500 premium for the new unit to be delivered in 2 days while these guests were still there. The owners were there a few days earlier and NO FLIES AT ALL WERE OBSERVED DURING THEIR STAY. The guests left the sliding doors open and allowed flies in, which was observed by our property manager. The access to the laundry room is from the outside and located in the basement of the main house. Our longtime caretaker who resides in another building on the grounds has access to the laundry room, but not the main house. There is no security issue. And finally, the threat to penalize the guests was based on their unauthorized entry into the basement/supply room where they removed a substantial amount of supplies. This is fully documented, and frankly we should have charged them for all the losses associated with the theft. Bottom line is that within a day or two of checking in this group wanted a full refund and intended to stay there all week. This was an intended set up and they will never be allowed onto the property again, and I suggest that no one lease to them ever. You will be sorry.

Daytona Beach is perfect for relaxing, families with kids and wave watching. Riding bike along the beach here is also terrific. So glad you enjoyed your stay. The Florida room with glass on all three sides is our favorite perch also. Thanks
