Amazing house

Lived the house, the pool, all the features of the home and being close to so many things, they also provided laundry soap, trash bags, had a stocked kitchen! Absolutely loved our stay

Another great trip to Safety Harbor

We have been guests here several times. Very happy to see that the house has been nicely repaired since last year's storms. We like everything about the house and the location. The owner, Tina, is very responsive and easy to communicate with. Hope to get back soon.

Great location and nice pool

Safety Harbor is a nice little town only a few blocks from the property. The house is spacious and back deck and pool area are great with beautiful sunsets over the lake.

Great place to stay!

We loved the home and location. While the weather didn’t cooperate, the pool and hot tub looked amazing. When there was an issue with the plumbing (which can happen anywhere), they were there within minutes to fix the issue. Hope we can stay here again soon!!

Perfect for a relaxing break

Great home on the lake

Loved the pool! The house was clean and well-equipped. Fun seeing alligators, turtles, and other wildlife. My two sons and soon to be daughter in-law had a much needed week of relaxing. Property is convenient to everything!

Nice, roomy, comfortable home

Very nice house. Comfortable rooms and furniture. Has open space to relax. Property manager/owner was very attentive when we needed assistance. Helper arrived within an hour. Will return next year if they will have us.

Another amazing stay with Tina

Second time around for our family and once again it did not disappoint. Tina is a fantastic host and sees you have everything you need to enjoy your stay. I mailed her twice via VRBO and she responded & rectified immediately. We had a huge storm above the house that knocked out the aircon, Tina had it resolved in less than an hour at 8pm on a Saturday. Now the house & location. Perfect location for us with the lake (fishing & daydreaming) and the town up the road for easy entertainment/dining. The house is spacious (we had 3 in there this time, 5 last) with fully stocked kitchen & bathrooms. There's really nothing we would change. Thank you Tina!

Thanksgiving Break

This property’s location is perfect for visiting Safety Harbor. The walking/bike path is directly across the street. The owner provides 2 bikes to use. You can easily walk or bike to Phillipe Park, the marina and Main Street. The backyard is absolutely beautiful! We spent most of our time watching pelicans diving for fish and relaxing in the hot tub and pool. We were also visited by an alligator going for a swim in the lake! The inside of the house has a ton of space.

Safety Harbor

We enjoyed our stay at Safety Harbor. It was a great location. We walked to Main street several times during the stay and enjoyed local restaurants. We were there on the third Friday of the month so got to enjoy the 3rd Friday celebration. They shut down a portion of Main Street and have bands and food. It was very fun. The house and pool area were nice. We spent most of our time outside or in the TV room off the pool. The mattress in the master bedroom is not comfortable as it had a large dip in the middle so we ended up sleeping in one of the other bedrooms. The kitchen had most of what we needed. There was only a small skillet and a griddle but when I called the host they brought a larger skillet for us to use.

2 Week Stay

We were overall very happy with the property. It truly felt like vacation with a beautiful lake view, a great pool, and well stocked. The location is lovely. Safety Harbor is really cool with lots of great restaurants, trendy breweries with outdoor live music, yet still family friendly. There is a city park about a half a mile away, where we took our kids to play.. The public library also had a very cool kids' section with fun programming. We liked being accessible to Tampa Airport and Clearwater Beach. Busch Gardens and Adventure Island are a reasonable day trip, as was Honeymoon Island and even Tarpon Springs animal sanctuary and peppa pig world. The house was beautiful. The floor plan was nice and the bedrooms were roomy. Everyone commented on how great the couch in the back living room is (there are two living rooms). We had repeated issues with the remote controls, but the TVs were very good and Netflix was even offered. We were pleased to see the full size ping pong table on the terrace, a foosball table and even a dart board, even though we didn't use them much (we have very little kids). We used the gas grill every day, but there was also a charcoal grill. One of the most memorable things about the property were that there were alligators in the lake that regularly come right up to the dock. I think it's very safe, but we kept our kids inside, nonetheless. The house is right on ALLIGATOR LAKE. I hope the my review may help others: I had trouble communicating with the host by email, but when I called her, she was extremely nice and helpful. You may get better answers by phone rather than email. One suggestion I could offer the host is that the master bedroom (king size) probably needs a new mattress. There is a large dip on one side, so much so that my husband had to sleep in the extra bedroom because it hurt his back.

Perfect for R&R

First I should start by saying that we were a little apprehensive about traveling during the pandemic and decided that a VRBO home would be the best route for us. From the very start, I knew that Tina would be easy to work with. Our flights were changed and we has to adjust our dates. After emailing Tina, she promptly responded and our adjustment was made. When we arrived in Safety Harbor, which is a very easy commute from Tampa, it was dark. Very DARK! The lighting on the street is terrible. Not saying this as a bad thing, but just something to be prepared for. We were highly satisfied with the accommodation when we got in. My travel companion was very happy that it was written in the "binder" to leave the AC set on 77, I was not so happy about that. I think that during summer months, this would be uncomfortable, but traveling in November was not so bad. We also got ready to get into the pool/hot tub but it wasn't working. I contacted Tina and she said someone would be there the following day. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the pool because it wasn't heated that night. The house did cool off some with the use of all of the fans provided. We had a great nights rest. The next day brought about some sunlight and we were able to see the true beauty of the property. Alligator Lake is so beautiful and peaceful to look at. The greatest selling points of this rental are the location and amenities. It was great having the pool, the deck and fishing pier, the bar- b- que pit, and the back porch with very comfortable furniture. (The hot tub never did start working despite Tina's husband coming over and propane being delivered.) The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need to dine at home. (Bring extra garbage bags and paper towels.) The bathrooms were large and there are numerous towels. (Bring your own face cloths because there were none.) The living rooms were nice with big TVs. My companion was NOT happy about there being no cable, as was advertised. (This made no difference to me at all.) Tina's son came over to try to help solve the cable issue but was not successful. Unfortunately, the day before we left, the washer stopped working. Had this happened earlier in the trip, it would have been a problem. Tina's husband tried to fix it but was unsuccessful. Although overall everything is in great shape, the house could use some "editing". I wish I could have put my decorative hands to work.

Absolutely loved our stay here in Safety Harbor, beautiful location close to shops and bars with an easy walk along the road. Stunning wildlife can be seen daily, loved the alligator and turtles sightings plus fabulous bird life. The house had everything we needed, the table tennis table was a real hit. Tina was a brilliant and attentive host and responded quickly to all of our questions. Definitely recommend!

The pool and outdoor area were wonderful for our group of 4 adults. We were in town for our granddaughters first birthday, and our daughter, son in law, and baby spent time with us and we had plenty of space to eat and socialize. I downgraded by 1 star for some minor things that keepsnthe home from being 5 stars in my opinion. The bath towels were mix matched, old, and stained and the bed pillows were very old and flat/lumpy. There were a few areas that were not completely clean (for example crumbs on the floor). The bed in the primary bedroom is extremely firm. I thought it was fine but my husband found it uncomfortable and didnn't sleep well.We really enjoyed watching the birds and the alligators in the mornings! Sitting outside in the mornings and evenings was a highlight for us on this trip!

Beautiful lake great location

We had a wonderful time. This was one of those rare homes where the reality outpaced expectations. The home was clean, comfortable with a lovely pool and hot tub. We loved watching the wildlife from the deck. The host was responsive to the questions we had. My son and I were able to go for runs on the Greenway across the street and the whole family walked downtown for coffee and milkshakes. 100% would stay again.
