We wish you would have let us know about the bug issues - while they are a part of life in Hilton Head, we could have sent the regime over to do an extra pest control treatment.

We are new owners of this unit and are working hard to make our little cottage an enjoyable place. We wished you would have contacted our manager during your stay about your concern, as we pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable guest experience. The front porch rail is sometimes used by our resident squirrel, "Charlie". We have repainted the front porch rail and since then "Charlie" seems to avoid eating on the rail. The screened porch is cleaned weekly, and we try to keep the screens and outdoor area as tidy as possible. The kitchen table did slightly rock on the floor, because the table was old. We have purchased and installed a new kitchen table and chairs that do not rock on the floor. We have also purchased and installed two new sitting chairs, a cute little side table, and have added a new coffee table. We have also installed some outdoor lights on the screened porch. We appreciate your feedback, and although we feel the 1-star review is harsh, we have made some upgrades to the cottage in response to your concerns. We regret that you did not contact us so we could address your concerns during your stay and deliver the excellent guest experience we strive to achieve.

We are so glad this guest had a nice visit. We ordered a new coffee table but it did not arrive before this guest left so that's why they didn't get it replaced that week. All good now!

We are so glad you enjoyed your visit. We were very sorry to have had the fridge go out just as you arrived. The owner was planning to replace it anyway since the old one didn't have a freezer. There is now a wonderful working refrigerator/freezer for guest use!

This review was a huge surprise. They were so accommodating and so understanding when I said my mother was in the hospital, even said we didn't need to bring the lightbulbs, that they would be OK without them, even suggested we just leave them outside. We are so sorry that our emergency meant we did not live up to their expectations.
