The cabin was absolutely perfect as a launching point for Yosemite National Park. We loved our stay and would recommend this cabin to park visitors.

The property was as advertised. It’s a quaint little place which has a woodsy vibe. The cabin is a little dated, stove, fridge, lighting, etc. but it was great for what we needed. Bed is comfortable, we loved the fireplace, porch, and grill. It is about an hour to the valley. Would definitely recommend it.

We were so excited for this trip and this cabin did not disappoint!! The location was beautiful and everyone was so easy to work with. Would definitely stay again and hope to come back with friends!

Amazing trip!

The cabin was very clean and cozy. Made for a perfect trip to Yosemite. And the bed was super comfy!

Cabin in Yosemite

Amazing location

Our trip in mid-May was just right for this cabin. The weather was ideal. We loved keeping the windows open throughout the day while we were out enjoying the park, and then sitting on the porch to enjoy the cooler evenings. The property managers at Redwoods did a great job. We loved traveling to the Yosemite Valley, but our best day was a long hike to the top of Chilnualna Falls.

84 Hastings Hideaway was a true gem. We truly enjoyed our stay in the property. It was clean and well equipped with all of the necessity items we needed. But, the property can use some love (updating). The driveway is very rutted; I was able to easily pull in with our truck. But a lower riding vehicle may have some issues. There is also a tripping hazard at the bottom of the stair leading up to the patio. This can easily be fixed. As for the interior of the cabin. As mentioned, it was clean and well equipped. However, it's stuck in the 70's and could use some freshening up (way too much paneling), the stove/oven combo should be replaced as well. All that being said. Would we stay in 84 Hastings Hideaway again. Absolutely!

The mattress could be replaced. Not the most comfortable. But overall it was clean and well maintained.

Camping in a cabin

Super nice to have full bathroom and kitchen, but no A/C and no dishwasher made it still feel like camping. Thankful for fans and screened windows.

Excellent Stay

Property had zero reviews so was a bit of a crapshoot. Exceeded expectations on all levels. Property manager uber responsive. Cleanliness a 10 out of 10. Slept 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably. Great experience.

Wonderful cabin that we usually stay in

Hastings Hideaway is a perfect size for a couple, and has a great location. It's well taken care of and nicely furnished, with a lovely deck. It has a king-sized bed, which is very nice, and plenty of blankets if needed. The kitchen is well stocked too, and the living room comfortable. (Only downsides were an outdoor light next door that's very bright, so there needs to be an agreement to turn it off at a certain hour. The driveway is also a bit rutted and could use some smoothing over - perhaps after this rough winter - but certainly driveable.)

It was fairly warm in the park this week and air conditioning or at least ceiling fans would have been nice. The cabin looked clean (swept/vacuumed) but when I dropped something on the kitchen floor and used paper towel to clean - I discovered the floor was very dirty! It was just okay for the 3 night stay.

It was a place to sleep

First impression was very disappointing. The cabin was stifling hot. There is no AC and I did not know this would be such a big deal there. It would have been nice to know in advance that this cabin heats up so much that it is not a nice hang out for down time. The mornings are cool but that is it. Had a couple of small maintenance issues that were not handled on time. This is a very basic and dated cabin. You just need to understand that going in since the price point is so high.

Unfortunately, August is very hot in Yosemite CA, so it is always suggested to choose a cabin with AC. Unfortunately, not all of our cabins have them, and they are privately owned so we always encourage our cabin owners to upgrade if they can. We list each cabin with AC or no AC for guest's convince. Despite this, we hope that you will consider coming back and contacting us for your next cabin rental so that we can ensure that you will be put in the perfect cabin for you! -The Redwoods In Yosemite Team

Good Access To Yosemite Valley Area

Property was adequate. Very basic and dated but comfortable. Interior was clean but the porch was not. Check-in process was very good. No air conditioning which wouldn't normally be a problem, but this July was an exception.

Wonderful stay

My husband and I stayed at this property with our two young children. The location was great, small store one minute away and a playground right there as well. House was clean with everything we needed. Would recommend and would stay here again!

Perfect stay

Very clean and pleasant cabin. Had a fully stocked kitchen and was the perfect stay for my husband and I. Took about an hour to drive to Glacier point and Taft Point. Would stay in this area again!

Enjoy fine dining and play golf at the historic Big Trees Lodge (formerly The Wawona Hotel), go horseback riding, fishing, enjoy Ranger walks and talks, or visit the Living History Center/Pioneer Village.

In the fall, the colors are spectacular as you enjoy the walking path around the golf course of the nearby historic Big Trees Lodge. See the nearby famous Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias.

In the winter, the family-friendly Yosemite Ski and Snowboard Area (formerly Badger Pass Ski Area) offers snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, cross-country ski tours, and in Yosemite Valley enjoy the outdoor ice skating rink.

In any season our Wedding and Event Center is open for all occasions! Whether it's for a group ski vacation, business training, a family Christmas or Thanksgiving get together, or a reunion of any kind this is the perfect spot for all to gather. Our Wedding and Event Center comfortably seats 100 for group meetings, and 80 for formal dining. There is a large open deck with a fireplace, and inside there is a second fireplace along with a separate Board Room and Catering Kitchen.
