Casa de Corazon is a family home that is opening a new chapter in its life as a tropical Florida getaway, close to the beach as well as great Florida destinations. At the end of the day, relax in the screened private pool and patio, and retire to the two comfortable bedrooms and two private bathrooms. The quiet neighborhood is perfect for an excellent night's sleep. Living room includes a queen size sofa/sleeper for two additional guests. The fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and Florida sunroom with French doors opening to the pool area are designed for total privacy and relaxation. Smart TV, wifi and washer and dryer included.

Casa de Corazon is ideally located for beach days, shopping and dining. Indian Rocks Beach is 10 minutes away, Clearwater Beach 20 minutes, Treasure Island Beaches 30 minutes, St. Petersburg Beach and Pass-a-Grille 40 to 45 minutes. Excursion boats and charter fishing boats are available at Clearwater Beach and at John's Pass on Madeira Beach. Dolphin watch cruises and sunset cruises are very popular. For more adventure, Tarpon Springs is about one hour north. The old Greek town was home to sponge divers and is an excellent place to see manatees. Shopping is outstanding in St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach and John's Pass areas.

Seafood restaurants abound in the area. Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, shrimp and scallops, redfish, and even hogfish, are popular choices. Just 10 minutes away in Indian Rocks Beach are P.J.'s, J.D.'s, Jimmy Guana's, and the original Crabby Bill's. In John's Pass/Treasure Island are Bubba Gump, Scuppers, Caddies, the big Crabby's at the Pass, and Middle Ground Grille. Downtown St. Petersburg has a major arts scene, including The Salvador Dali Museum, and a new Doc Ford's Raw Bar and Grill on the water. Doc Ford's is outstanding!

For those wanting a theme park day, Casa de Corazon is located about 30 minutes from Busch Gardens in Tampa, and 90 minutes from Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World. It is actually very realistic to wake up in Largo in the morning, drive the 90 minutes to Disney, spend the day there, and drive back to Casa de Corazon in the evening.

For the veteran who is looking for comradery and inexpensive entertainment, there are two VFW halls, and three American Legion halls within 10-15 minutes drive. Each offers dining, bar service, dancing, and other unique features for the Florida experience.

Casa de Corazon is decorated with art from many nations. The Owner spent a great deal of his career working internationally. Much of the art was obtained in Indonesia, Hong Kong, and the Caribbean Islands. While we hope you enjoy it, while caring for our sentimental, worldly art.

Had a good stay. Some small issues-remote for tv did not work, could not conecct to wif (this issue was taken care of), dryer was broke, microwave is broke. had a good time, would stay here again.

This property was great and we will be coming back again. It had everything we needed and was clean. It even had beach chairs, beach toys, and the screened in pool was great. We spent a few days just staying home and enjoying it. Great experience!

The owner reached out to us prior to us checking in and told us to enjoy ourselves, which we thought was very nice.The house was clean,cozy and the pool was great ! We actually booked it for family who visited because of the pool (which we don't have at our house).We even met the owner's brother in law Paul who maintains the pool and property and he was very friendly. Overall we highly recommend a stay and we will rebook it again whenever our family comes to town.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious with two bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable. It was really nice to have access to the pool and beach wagon. The house is somewhat dated but everything works well. I appreciated the ease of check-in/out. The host was extremely responsive to messages. We were disappointed that the hot tub pictured was not the actual hot tub on the property; instead, there was an inflatable hot tub that had trouble heating. We had difficulty with the WiFi throughout our stay, but the host was very responsive in trying to problem solve. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

The door on the side of the lanai was broken and when we contacted the host he didn’t seem to think it was an issue. While we were away from the house someone came in and used the pool, the pool toys were left on the side of the pool and were not there before. When we contacted the host he didn’t seem to think it was an issue that someone had been there and said it was probably the pool guy. The pool had debris and dirt in the bottom, probably from the torn lanai roof. The inflatable hot tub was moldy. There was sand in the chair I sat in in the sunroom. There was a cigarette butt in the master bedroom on the floor. There was dirt on the counter in the master bathroom. The microwave was broken and taped shut. The lawn was not mowed. We didn’t contact the host about most of this stuff because we didn’t want people coming to the house while we were staying there. We left a day early because after someone was in the pool we no longer felt comfortable being there. The beds were comfortable.

My wife and I stayed at the property for 2 months during the winter and found it a nice home away from home. It's in a good location, close to many activities and attractions. Largo has many nice parks for those who enjoy hiking in the woods in the middle of an urban area. And the beach is just a few miles away. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with,,,,he even let me use his bike....the Pinellas Trail is a block away.

Great place

Good house with all the amenities you need plus a pool! Great location close to beaches and restaurants. Owner was great when we contacted him and solved all the problems we had which were very small.

Great location

Nice neighborhood, house was clean and very comfortable. The pool was too cold to use but we enjoyed the hot tub. We'd definitely stay there again.

Was lied to by the owner about the hot tub. It was not working and the owner said someone tried to fix it before our arrival. Funny thing is the part for the repair was still sitting in an unopened box by the hot tub. I reached out a few weeks prior to our visit and was going to cancel but was reassured that the hot tub would be working. I would have rebooked somewhere else. I don’t appreciate being lied to especially when I spent as much money as I did for the rental. This is not an ocean view house either as listed on Vrbo.

I am very sorry about the hot tub not being repaired. But I question where you thought the house was ocean or beach view. The house is about 2 and 1/2 miles from the beach and my listing certainly said that. I am quite proud of my comfortable home and all that it offers. I installed the hot tub as an additional perk, but certainly not as the primary feature is the house.

We were disappointed on arrival to this home. Although the home was clean, it seriously in need of updating, including worn furniture, pool with green “stains” or scum in the bottom, poorly functioning filter, skimmer net that was unusable, hot tub not working, microwave with piece across top edge missing, non functioning light over stove, multiple light switches that did not do anything, laundry from previous renter still in washer and drier. Otherwise it was only OK at best!

In response to Sheryl, the time of the year has a major impact on the pool. The pollen that is currently floating through the air is not hindered much by the pool screen, and as a result the pool is often impacted by the pollen. My pool is serviced by my brother in law, who works very hard to keep it clean and functioning. He lives only a couple of houses away and responds very quickly to issues. Yes the hot tub was not working but a new filter/heating/control unit had been ordered and has now arrived. In addition, the pool is old and the bottom is stained. This does not affect the cleanliness of the water. The house and the furnishings are “comfortable”. Yes, they are old and showing some wear but the house is not the Four Seasons. And virtually everything works. The missing piece above the microwave does not impact its operation. As time (and money) allows I try and upgrade the house to continue to keep it “comfortable”, clean, and operational, while keeping the daily rate reasonable. I live in Texas so visits to the house are rare, but all of the maintenance people are very professional and help me a great deal in meeting my goals. I am sorry if you did not enjoy your stay, but I am trying very hard to continue to make the Casa de Corazon a comfortable vacation location.

Great cute place!

This place was great. The shower in the master probably needs to be re caulked and the the hot tub did not work but it was a great sleep with a full kitchen ( with utensils and such!). The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and the house inside was very cozy.

Quiet and comfortable

Enjoyed our relaxing stay. Impressed on how quiet the neighborhood is. Very comfortable and nicely decorated home with a fully stocked kitchen. A few items could use updating and some TLC, especially the kitchen lighting and the carpeting, but overall was a very enjoyable home.

Cool place to stay when visiting West Florida

The place was in good shape and the pool was clean. Everything I needed was there and even things I didn't know I needed were there. Place is comfortable and Gerard is very responsive.

Great Place To Stay

Me and my husband and son enjoyed our trip this past week. House was very close to several beaches , witch we tried to explore them all. House was very clean , owner let us check in early after a 12 hour drive. Pool was great , we spent a lot of time in it. I would highly recommend staying here. Me and my family look forward to many vacations here.
