I would like to start with the positive. The host and employees for this place are very nice. When we arrived an hour past the time we were supposed to be there, they were waiting witha smile on their face. I do really appreciate the kindness they showed. Another positive was the kitchen was clean and well stocked. The dining area and outdoor space was beautiful too.The bad:This is an open air house, meaning there are slats in the walls, ceiling for bugs, mosquitos, birds and other wildlife to come in. It was super windy when we stayed and it felt like you were in the middle of a hurricane trying to sleep. I also got bit about 30 times all over my body just from staying here. No amount of deet spray would stop those guys. I didn't get bit anywhere else, just when I was at the house. (The house is near a lagoon so there are more mosquitos there). The Showers didn't work. Out of 3 showers, only one had lukewarm water, the others were just plain cold. Birds would come in and poop in all over the house, including the beds, sinks etc.I had to leave the property because I couldn't handle the mosquitos, filth from the birds and the showers not working. I lost money on this and was not happy about that. Also some of the bedsheets and bedspreads were ripped and we were only give 2 sets of towels for the entire house. So if you like to camp in the great outdoors and don't mind the bugs and wildlife, this is the place for you!
