The property is gorgeous. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The kitchen is very well equipped….except, and I say this somewhat reservedly, for a property worth 5 million, the appliances should be brought up to date. The microwave was probably original to the house (20years old), so very basic. The Wolf stove had 2 burners that continued to fire the igniters; so they were unusable…but there were 4 more, so not a huge problem. The large oven had a short that was fixed immediately, but if we hadn’t found it by using it for breakfast, our very expensive chef dinner that we had ordered for that night would have been impossible. Fortunately, the property manager, Kathleen, was FABULOUS! She got someone right out there and got it fixed; a crisis was averted. The Barbeque has known problems, and instead of getting it fixed, there’s a printout to get around the 3 right burners not lighting. The washing machine looks like it belongs under a deck somewhere on a beach to wash beach towels (all rusted), very inexpensive fix to buy a new washing machine. Several of the ceiling fans were too noisy to use. (I advised Kathleen upon leaving, so I’m hoping they were fixed). The day we left, we woke up to a water heater leak in our bedroom. (This just speaks again to the age of the appliances). There were many toys in the bin at the pool that should have been discarded. I think that, for the money that is being charged…the property could be kept up a bit better.
