Beautiful well accounted space, all the comforts of home. Great shower water pressure, a help for jet lag. We loved the outdoor space. Perfect little neighborhood. Very friendly people and lovely crisp Portuguese linens.

The apartment is well appointed in close to everything especially some excellent restaurants, Ida from restaurant Oprego at the bottom of the stairs became our new best friend helping us with directions and Uber drivers

Absolutely loved the location. Hanging out on the patio was magical. The decor is fanciful and there are fantastic restaurants right around the corner where we made a lot of friends. We would absolutely stay here again! The host is also very friendly and informative.

Loved our stay in Alfama. It’s an interesting neighborhood and the people were very friendly. We were in walking distance of almost everywhere we wanted to go. It was nice to relax on the balcony after a long day. Would definitely recommend staying here. Warning, the apartment is up a fairly steep hill and on the third floor. Recommend packing light - it’s not an easy climb.

Excellent location. Clean and spacious! Bathrooms were top-notch! Great communication with owners, but we did have trouble finding the location, although I think our Bolt driver contributed to that greatly. Would highly recommend.

Lovely apartment in quiet area

Communication with management is great and very responsive. Comfortable place on 4th floor. Alfama area has hills. We loved the place and would stay again!

First Visit to Lisbon

The three of us really enjoyed Lisbon. The location of your apartment was just perfect! We were able to get Ubers easily to any of the major attractions or any restaurant that we wanted to try. The apartment was spacious and very clean and airy.

A lovely. Spacious, well equipped apartment. Close to bars and restaurants and a short walk to a tram stop. Only downside was the three flights of stairs up to the apartment

Very comfortable accommodations

Located in a delightful, but very hilly part of Lisbon. Many food options in the neighborhood. Kitchen and bathrooms modern and well-stocked. Plenty of room to spread out with a glass of vino verde at the end of a long day sightseeing. Would happily book again the next time.

Nice Apartment in Alfama

We enjoyed our stay in the apartment, which was well appointed. Location wise it was a 15 minute walk mostly downhill to the center of Lisbon and there were several dining options nearby. The only caution I would give is the number of stairs you need to climb to the apartment

Comfortable and easy

Very lovely stay during the winter season. Heated apartment was ideal. Enough space for 2 adults and 3 teens. All amenities provided. Would have liked more clean towels to use. Very central location, close to/access to everything. Felt very safe. Would stay here again!

Wonderful place Fantastic location

Lovely home with great amenities and little extra's to make your stay more enjoyable. Fantastic communication. We loved the location. Centrally located to so many wonderful places. Be prepared for walking hills during your stay. Also, be aware if you use the washing machine it can take 1-3 days for your items to dry on the rack.

First time to Lisbon

Property worked well for our purposes, it is near tram lines and restaurants. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio after a busy day of touring, bedrooms were comfortable. We did breakfast at vrbo and ate out other meals. It was handy to have washing machine. Unit is on third floor and up a bit of a hill so getting suitcases in was tiring but worth it.

Well equipped apartment in prime location. The stairs were a challenge with luggage but we 60 yr olds managed. You need to be prepared for climbing the hills but the effort is so worth it or you jump in a tuk tuk. The restaurant Prego near the apartment has great food and offers Fado that was a great experience. Great apartment and great location.

Very clean, great communication from host. Good kitchen amenities. Right in the heart of the Alfama neighborhood. Great walkability. Busy small area out the front door with street noise mostly from people. Didn’t bother us. Bring earplugs. Overall lovely stay and just like displayed. Thank you!

Perfect Location!

Having never been to Lisbon/Portugal, we didn’t know where we’d want to be situated for our first half of our vacation. This place was absolutely perfect! We loved how close we were to awesome restaurants, historic sites, incredible views, and amazing shopping. We literally walked everywhere! The apartment was everything we could hope for-comfortable, modern and the best part was the terrace/balcony where we had coffee every morning and wine most evenings. We’ll be back!!! Thank you 💕

Lisbon in April

The overall stay at the property was terrific. Nice, clean property on the 3rd floor (which is American for 4th). Owners should provide a list of nearby restaurants and other favorites. There are some, but not a ton, of local non-touristy places nearby. OPrego was our favorite. There was some miscommunication about the check in process, and there are a lot of "rules" which were a bit obnoxious - but which we overcame quickly.

The real gem is the private outdoor deck—perfect for morning coffee or evening wine.Location is unbeatable, with traditional Portuguese restaurants and diverse dining options steps away. Fair warning: the apartment is on the third floor of a hillside building accessed via cobblestone streets, so be prepared for stairs. If you’re comfortable with that, you’ll be rewarded with a quiet, beautifully appointed retreat.The layout is ideal for two couples—two bedrooms with good privacy, two bathrooms, and a spacious living area. Hosts and their team communicate promptly and clearly throughout.Would absolutely stay again.Highly recommended for those wanting an authentic Alfama experience.

Stay at AlfamaALFAMA -CHATEAU - TERRACE - TAGE VIEW

The apartment was spacious for the 2 of us to share. It was clean and in a nice area in Lisbon. Just down the hill are some great restaurants and shops. One thing that was not ideal for us was the accessibility. The apartment is in a 3-story walk-up apartment building. While we were prepared to tackle the hills and stairs of Lisbon, we did not anticipate having to walk up 3 stories every time we went back to our air B&B. This was not shared in the description on the site. Personally, we would not have rented this air B&B if we had known about the stairs. Overall, it was a nice apartment.

Birthday celebration trip to Lisbon

Good location, apartment as described in listing and reviews. As highlighted by other reviewers we felt this property let itself down by issuing quite so many ‘rules’ there were several slightly official e-mails followed by a whole written file of rules on the table but no welcoming touches - a small jug of milk, a folder with some local ideas / restaurants and / or a friendly note maybe would offset the regular reminders for cash to pay tax etc. We are regular users of similar sites to VRBO & always do our very best to care for any property as if it is our own - here we felt like we had done something wrong before we even arrived. This apartment is truly lovely but you need to be able to over look the strictness to really enjoy it!

Caryn seems never happy of eveything..and communicaion was not really easy with her. Example She asked for adresses restaurants for her daughter celebration . We senT her a long mail with differents adresses and recommandations on her personal e mail adress ... we never received a thank for those recommandations sent and we don't even know if she choosed one of them!! Caryn sent us SMS explaining she is not able to translate automatic informations sent by VRBO system in French because she is English...too bad to do not be able to translate anything with all the new technologies that exists !! and too bad when you travel abroad and you're not be able to change a little bit your habits too! Notice that all our communication with her was in English even it's for us also not our native language, but we tried to write in her language, A chance that all our Portugues local team speaks English !! Concerning inernals rules writen in English as well , we sent it before each arrival guest .It reminds guest how to contact the local team at their arrival , our internals rules concerning the way to use the apartment , the way to live in local apartment building , the local taxes they have to pay at their arrival .. etc... I remind you you're living '"in OUR home "during your stay . And i could imagine you'll have certainly personal internals rules as well if one day you decide to rent your personnal apartment to guests you don't know. For all those reasons i recommend Caryn next time she travels abroad to reserve and stay in an international hotel certainly more adapted to her habits . Last point : We provide Espresso capsules for our guests when they arrive and a suggestion book of what to do nearby .. but hard to guess if our guests prefers milk instead cafe :-) Anyway we apreciate Caryn review about the quality and comfort of our apartment . Super emplacement, superbe logement

Superbe logement : quartier historique et toutefois au calme. Fonctionnel, bien équipé, literie au top. Le must : la terrasse, apéritifs et déjeuners ou dîners sans souci a 4. 2 couples sexagénaires : on a vraiment apprécié les 2 salles de bains et 2 toilettes indépendants et privatifs.
