Boom Lake R & R Ranch på vandet

Nyd vores lille ranchhus med en udkælder for at bringe dig til kystlinjen Boom Lake, hjertet af Rhinelander-kæden af søer (Boom, Bass, Thunder, Lake Creek og Wisconsin River Flowage). Det betragtes som et af de bedste fiskeredestinationer i det nordlige Wisconsin. Overfladevandsområdet er over 1700 hektar med 35 miles kystlinje til sejlsport, skiløb, svømning, jetski og fiskeri!

Lille hus (1800 sq ft) men meget hyggeligt! Patio døre, der tilbyder smuk udsigt over søen inde i huset og også på gåtur ud dæk. Vi har en stor firepit område at læne sig tilbage og slappe af efter en sjov dag på søen. Der er en dock til at fiske ud af eller trække båden op til.

Fantastic Lake Weekend!

Wintergreen on Boom Lake had everything possible to enjoy a family lake vacation rain or shine! We were up for a mountain bike race and our only regret is that we didn’t get to hang out at the house longer. Next year we’ll plan accordingly to stay longer!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was welcoming, clean and in a nice quiet neighborhood on a beautiful lake with a gorgeous view… great location, convenient and comfortable! We will be back☀️☀️

Relaxing at Boom Lake

We planned on traveling to northern Wisconsin and have stayed at Boom lake a couple years ago. I found this listing and was very impressed and the size of the home was perfect! We brought our own fishing boat and had great luck fishing and hanging out on their beautiful dock. I would definitely stay here again, the home is tastefully decorated and is very comfortable for a couple or a family. (The boat launch is very close too!)

Excellent snowmobile weekend

The house was great. Easy access to the lake and snowmobile trails. Very comfortable and clean. We would stay here again.

Slice of heaven

This place was absolute perfection! The lake is beautiful. The deer would come up and lay in the yard while we were out there. The game room is amazing, and the patio is even better! The table and chairs were also the perfect height ;). Mike is an awesome host! We will definitely recommend and stay again!

Another Great Stay and We Will Be Back

Perfect location. 7 minute drive to Downtown Rhinelander. Within 25 minutes to Eagle River and Minocqua. Fishing from the Pier was good. Comfortable furnishings. This was the third time we have stayed here and we will gladly be back next year. Owner is pleasant and friendly to deal with.

A Week To Unwind

My husband and I wanted to get away for a week for our anniversary. We had amazing time. Great location. Everything you need was there. We will be back.

Peaceful and fun!

The hosts were kind and warm. Very helpful and detailed oriented. The house was a rustic nice size woodsy place yet close enough to town for food and entertainment. The house was on a beautiful lake and the wild life was so beautiful. Quiet and roomy. Even the driveway had room for several cars. Perfect! Clean and accommodating! Perfect stay. Perfect host. Perfect time up in the Northwoods! Can't wait to come back!

Quite the disappointment on cleanliness and communication!

When we arrived at Wintergreen on Boom Lake, we were excited to see the setting, but once we walked inside our happiness turned to frustration. We soon discovered that the house had not been cleaned very well if not at all and the air conditioning did not work. The outside temperature was 90 degrees and the inside temp did not go lower than 75 degrees. One bathroom had dried toothpaste in the sink, dried urine on the toilet seat, the bathroom carpets were filthy and the floor was visibly dirty. Two of the beds were made with dirty sheets. There were stains on the sheets and hair on the pillowcases. It was evident that the kitchen and dining room floors hadn’t been swept by the crumbs that were strewn everywhere. The beautiful view of the lake was obscured by the smudges and fingerprints on the sliding glass windows. The downstairs laundry room had dirty laundry in the washer and the dryer was also full of clothes. We have pictures documenting this as proof. After discovering the condition of the house, I called Kaye, Mike’s wife, and left a message to inform her that we weren’t happy. Since it was late in the day and too late to make other arrangements, my girlfriends and I began cleaning. We stripped down the bedding and washed the sheets and blankets. We cleaned and disinfected the bathrooms, washed windows, cleaned appliances, and vacuumed the floor. Mike called me back and I explained the situation to him. He told me that new cleaning people were hired and he was going to contact them to hear their side of the story. But the bottom line was that the bedding and bathrooms were not left in acceptable condition! Once the cleaning was done, we did enjoy the lake and patio area. When we left the next morning, we stripped the bedding and started a load of towels in the washer. We definitely left the place cleaner than when we arrived. My girlfriends and I felt it was appropriate to be compensated for our time cleaning. We asked Mike if he would be willing to do so and I have not heard from him. I called one more time to give him the chance to rectify this situation and he did not answer so I left a message. Needless to say, since I have not heard from him, that is the reason for this unsatisfactory review. Although the lake was beautiful and the game room had many options, I would not recommend staying at Wintergreen on Boom Lake because of the unsanitary conditions.

Ideal Location

Excellent location to Rhinelander Restaurants, Bars, Shopping. Short drive to Eagle River and Minocqua. Caught fish from the dock. Utilized the Game Room in the Basement. Peaceful location. Our second time at this location and we will be back again. Excellent communcation with the owner.

Wintergreen stay

Very nice house and location on boom lake. Pier is very nice great outdoor fire pit and seating. Everything you need for a great stay is at this rental.

Great place

We loved the place. Plan on returning. Decorated awesome. Comfortable bed in master suite didn't use the other beds. Loved the view. Fishing great.

Beautiful Home

Absolutely beautiful home with great location. The view of the lake and the amenities at this house are incredible. The water in the home is definitely an issue so book knowing the water situation. Don't wash any light clothes here. The smell is very strong of iron so although it is cleared by the county - it is still offputting - we were fine with dishes and showers but didn't drink it. Half our family didn't mind it and the other half were really bothered by it. The hosts are so nice and accommodating and very communicative. The water is the only thing I could say anything negative about. Everything else was PERFECT!

Ice fishing

Ice fishing was good on boom. House was perfectly located looking over the lake house had everything that we needed for a great guys ice fishing trip. I would recommend staying at this house. Thank you

Nice Cabin

Wedding weekend

We came up for our daughter's wedding. The check in was very easy and communication with Mike and his wife was pleasant. We had looked at the reviews and can't figure out why a few were bad. The house and view were amazing. The house is so inviting and clean, and we had a blast in the game room. We had a great time fishing and caught quit a few fish. The grill was clean and we grilled out all weekend. We used the firepit a few nights, when it got a little chilly at night. We will definitely be staying there again and again. THANK YOU FOR OPENING YOUR BEAUTIFUL HOUSE TO US!!

Poor seating

Overall good week trip. However, seating options were not good. Only chairs to eat meals on were 4 feet high which are not reasonable for older or shorter guests. And there is only 4 together so our group if 6 couldnt eat a meal together inside. Needs a kitchen table with normal chairs and enough of them to cover the amount of people you say you can accommodate.

Great location! Exactly as described.

Peaceful location on Lake Boom. Very nice for kayaking...stairs/dock at water's edge very helpful to launch kayaks. Love the fire pit, deck, grill and views. Comfortable house for 2 couples with nice amenities, including kitchen tools for cooking (perhaps could add a sharper chef's knife!) Easy check-in, excellent communication with the host. Would definitely stay again.

Michael and Kaye Lani. We are from Rhinelander, WI. We originally bought this place for a little get away so we could bring our dogs with us. Not long after we had an unexpected surprise in having a son named Winter. While we try to get here as often as we can, we decided to rent it out to other guests when we aren't there. We look forward to having this place for a long time for us and others to enjoy.

While we might not be in the Minocqua or Eagle River hot spots, we are in a nice peaceful setting, with most of the get away feel that most are looking for. Forget something? We are a mile out of town, so grabbing forgotten items is so easy. A great fire pit area looking over Boom Lake to give you that northwoods feeling on northern WI evening. Come visit for any reason, but please take the evening off while your here!

We are on the water! In the summer, it is easy to sit out on the dock, or use the stairs to walk in the water. In the winter, the sleds can hit the trail from the lake. Great fishing lake for your ice fishing adventures. Just check the ice before you head out!
