The cabin was perfect. Great location for visiting the Black Hills. Sarah was an excellent host. Cabin had everything needed for cooking in the kitchen. Will stay there again!

Absolutely loved this place and am planning a trip back with my family next year. Great for both kids and adults. Owners of the property were fantastic and came down with everything to do s’mores in the evening!

Family vacation

Great place to stay! It was central to everything we wanted to do. Sarah and Al were great! It was fun to watch all of the animals on the property, kids loved it! I would recommend this place to anyone.

Sturgis Anniversary

Easy and everything you need. Very happy with the accommodations. Sarah and Al provided many amenities we hadn’t seen in other properties.

4th of July Stay

Our family of four stayed for 7 nights at Campfire Cabins and we would recommend to anyone with a smaller family. The cabin size worked well for us and the property is centrally located in the Black Hills. The host were helpful and very attentive host. Also our kids loved seeing the animals and the nightly s’mores at the campfire. We will visit again.

Family vacation

We are a family of five (including three teenagers) on vacation to see South Dakota. The scenic drive to the cabin was beautiful. The cabin was super clean and had ample space for all of us. The teens especially enjoyed sleeping in the loft and watching the chickens, bunnies and cats each morning before we headed out. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet and convenient

Great location, centrally located between many area attractions. Cozy, quaint cabin. Our girls loved the loft and the movies… and the hammock. Appreciated the pots/pans/condiments provided. Also, the adorable little bottles of coffee syrups!!

Amazing

The cabins are in a quiet area just far enough away from town, but close enough to get everything you need. Everything we wanted to do was within 1 1/2 hour drive in any direction. The cabin had everything we could need and even added extras for a nice welcoming gift. Our boys loved playing with all of the animals and loved the campfire area. The host was very friendly, attentive and available if needed. 10/10 I would visit again and recommend to friends and family.

Home Away from Home

This property is nothing short of amazing. Al and Sarah have thought of everything a guest could possibly need-from a beautiful welcome basket, a fully supplied kitchen with basic sauces and seasonings, to more than basic bathroom toiletries, laundry facilities, fire pit gathering space, even hammocks throughout the property. The welcome book is full of information about the area and super helpful material for families like mine who plan day by day. This was a great location for us as we hit Mt Rushmore, Needles, Custer, Spearfish, Sylvan, and Rapid City. My family loved the farm animals and interacting with them daily-especially the bunnies! The cabins are exactly as pictured, and my daughters loved having their own space upon the loft We hope to return soon to enjoy the area and the hospitality we loved here at Camp Fire Cabins! Thank you Al and Sarah for thinking of everything!

Perfect!

It really is a great central location in a beautiful area! The perfect Black Hills cabin experience! The cabins are exceptionally fresh and clean. Nothing is run down and everything worked perfectly. They are small but spacious, especially for sleeping. The bathroom is roomy too. A comfortable bed is a huge deal for me and the queen bed was very comfortable. Other beds are on the floor in the loft and the kids were perfectly happy. The Suttons are wonderful hosts who thought of even the smallest details to make their guests feel welcomed. My only regret is that we didn't take more time to just spend at our cabin. We crammed a lot in to our vacation. I hope it won't be long before we can come back. When we do we'll definitely stay here!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this property! It’s located on a homestead and has goats and bunnies that roam the property. They are adorable. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The host did a great job of making us feel welcome.

We had a great stay! Our kids loved the animals and the selection of games and movies. From booking to check-out Sarah was happy to help with whatever we needed. The cabin was well stocked with miscellaneous items that may have been forgotten. As well as basics in the kitchen to cook small meals. We absolutely would stay here again. My kids didn’t want to leave!

Excellent Excellent Excellent

Our experience was superior! The cabin was in excellent condition end exactly as described. It is centrally located to all the things we wanted to see. We were there for Sturgis bike rally and its is a nice quiet place to come to to unwind after a long day of activities. Sarah is a superior host and takes care of all needs you may have. She is definitely a people person and a joy to talk to. We were there for eight days and will be back for another stay for sure!! Thanks Sarah!

Very Friendly owners, super clean cabin with amenities. Centrally located to UTV trails and site seeing. Loved the farm animals and the peaceful country. Would definitely stay again!!

Excellent location

I picked this location because of the great reviews along with a welcoming 6 farm fresh eggs in the fridge. They were delicious 😋 But it was much more. The cabin had everything you need, great showed, Fluffy towels, comfy bed, beautiful quilt, cows, chickens, goats, and the house cats, especially Rocket which is a very sweet and affectionate 🐈 We had a very nice peaceful time here, would definitely recommend, and plan another trip in the future 😊

Great place to stay!

We are from the east side of the state and come to the hills often. We prefer a cabin to hotel stay. This is a great location and cabin with lots of extras so you dont have to haul alot of stuff with you. We also need a place to park our trailer and side x side which this place has, many places don't. Liked the big fire pit and play area for kids (our grandkids visited...they were camping down the road) They loved the kitties, rabbits, goats and chickens. We liked the fresh eggs! Plan to stay here again.
