My family and I stayed here for 7 nights. The house was clean and offered plenty of space for us to hang out. The location is great, and the fact that Andrew, the property manager, has a locker at the beach was very convenient.
Unfortunately, our experience was not all positive. There were many ants by the kitchen sink; the skylight in the sunroom started to drip water after a heavy rain. But most importantly, those of us staying on the top floor (4 adults and 4 kids, including an infant) experienced significant respiratory symptoms (mostly congestion, but also some difficulty breathing) during our trip. We came from two different households, so it is unlikely that we all had preexisting illnesses. In the middle of the week, a contractor from a roofing company knocked on the door and said they had been scheduled for a repair. We had no prior knowledge that the contractor would show up, and initially refused entry. A little while later, Andrew called and asked if we would be willing to have them come in to do their work. Apparently, prior tenants had suspected some kind of mold issue in the closet adjacent to two rooms upstairs, due to a leak.
We feel that Andrew should have disclosed this potential health issue to us before our stay. To his credit, he has scheduled an air circulation test and says he will share the results with us. Until this issue is resolved, we can't recommend this property to others, despite its many positives.
