Absolutely perfect location for Acadia and Bar Harbor while having your own slice of heaven with the view! Our family of 5 loved this property and we played many games of monopoly, enjoyed cooking lobster at home, and meals out at Bar Harbor Lobster Pound practically across the street. It was easy access to Acadia National Park near the Hulls visitors center entrance. We were up early and explored every morning to get parking at the trailheads. Everything was easy at this place!

Baycliff is an amazing property with stunning views that is convenient to all Mount Desert Island has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and watching seals almost daily in the bay. The owner was very responsive and the information provided with activities, history and other recommendations was very helpful.

The views are breathtaking! Loved watching the seals, loons and other birds. Fantastic quiet location. The house was perfect for us (3 couples). Kevin was very responsive to our questions. Would definitely stay again.

The house is amazing with great views and anything that you need is there from games to spices ( just bring your own shampoo and body wash) we had a great time exploring the area and drinking Cofee with the ocean views.Everything was clean and modern, host responsive and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay here . The house was clean and stocked with everything that we needed. My only complaint would be the living room furniture. There wasn’t enough seating for everyone and it was uncomfortable the same goes for the deck other than that the house was great and the location was close to town

We've repaired the couch cushions. Also - we can bring up a chair(s) from the basement. We don't keep more seating in the living room to maintain its open feeling.

Came to Baycliff for a week of cross country skiing on the Acadia carriage roads. The house is wonderful! It is very warm and cozy. The views are truly like a postcard. The kitchen had the appliances/dishes/utencils/pots and pans I needed to make my own meals and the washer and dryer were very helpful. The location is very convenient to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor. The owner was extremely responsive and friendly. If you have the opportunity to stay here, do it!

We had amazing stay at Baycliff. The house is in great location, only 10 minutes from Acadia NP and downtown Bar Harbor. The house has great deck with beautiful view of the Bay; very clean and very well equipped. Wonderful retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baycliff. The peaceful setting on Frenchman Bay was the perfect place to relax, with plenty of birds and sea life to keep us entertained. Kevin was a wonderful host—friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any questions.We truly loved our week there and hope to return!

The house was clean, views were amazing (especially sunrise), the kitchen was well appointed (would like a toaster), rooms have amazing views of the bay, the deck would have been great to utilize but the weather was cool, loved the drive through the woods to get to the house, and the host periodically called to make sure all was well.Property was very private.

What an amazing place. The view of Frenchman’s Bay, the house and all amenities, communication with owner/manager, proximity to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor was beyond excellent! We could not have asked for anything better. Having the chipmunks to feed was a sweet bonus. Highly recommend!!!

Very nice property and beautiful view

Wonderful stay and property was nice and comfortable. The view is amazing, and you can walk on the rocky beach during low tide and explore with the kids. Would stay here again.

We just spent a magical week here with our four boys (aged eight and under) and we’re already scheming our next visit. This house is genuinely one of the best places we’ve ever stayed with young kids, and we don’t say that lightly.The location was ideal for everything we wanted to do — close to Bar Harbor, Acadia, and all the spots that made our week so special. It’s a beautiful, thoughtfully equipped home that clearly was set up by people who care.The setup for families is exceptional. The yard was perfect for the boys to run around while the baby napped, and both the yard and the porch felt so safe for the kids to play on. We especially loved that the landscaping created a clear, natural boundary from the water — as parents of little ones, that gave us real peace of mind.And the chipmunks! The kids were absolutely enchanted. We loved that they had names, and the boys were convinced they could tell them apart and spent the week calling them by name. Feeding them became one of the highlights of the whole trip.We also have to mention the binder — we read the entire thing, and it’s hands down the most helpful guest binder we have ever come across. The local recommendations were spot on. Sweet Peas, in particular, was a fantastic call: they have a whole field where the kids can play with soccer balls while you eat, and the food was excellent!

One of the things I did when I took over the property from my mom was to reestablish the view. The cliff edge had been overgrown with unkept brush. I knew that once that was removed, I needed to put something there to keep people (not just children) from getting to close to Baycliff's namesake - namely the 15 foot cliff overlooking Frenchman Bay. In talking with my landscaper - we decided on a 12 foot deep garden of sea roses. We chose sea roses because they're beautiful, they can be trimmed short and most importantly they act a botanical razor wire to prevent people from going to the edge of the cliff on a whim.
