GITE ELEPHANT (nær Fontainebleau)

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback following your stay at Gîte Éléphant. We are pleased that you appreciated the spaciousness of the gîte and its excellent location, which are indeed two of its main strengths. We are nevertheless sorry that some aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We take your comments regarding the toilet seat, stair handrail, seating and kitchen equipment seriously and will check these points carefully. We would, however, like to clarify one point regarding the price. Gîte Éléphant is a large holiday cottage designed to accommodate up to 7–8 guests. The rental price is therefore based on the use of an entire spacious property, rather than on a per-person basis. When the gîte is occupied by only four guests, as in your case, the cost naturally represents a higher price per person. This is the same principle that applies to most large holiday cottages rented exclusively to a small family. Regarding towels, they are offered as an optional service so that guests who prefer to bring their own towels do not have to pay for a service they do not require. We understand, however, that you would have preferred them to be included in the rental price. We are particularly sorry that you felt that the overall standard did not correspond to the price paid. We continually maintain and improve our gîtes and take guest feedback seriously. Your comments will therefore help us review the points you have mentioned. Despite the aspects that disappointed you, we are glad that you enjoyed the space and the location of Gîte Éléphant, and we hope you were able to make the most of your stay in the beautiful Fontainebleau forest.
