AMazing Views, Convenient Location, But the Place desperately needs improvements
This house has tremendous room for improvement. To start with the positives, the view is absolutely amazing from every single room in this house. The game room had something for everyone. The house was decently stocked with essentials from kitchen paper towels, toiletries to toilet paper. The park right next to the house was amazing for kids.
As of the negatives, the list is endless. The furniture is really dated and unhygienic. There was a musty smell throughout the house and the rugs looked dirty. The beds are very uncomfortable, every single person in our group ended up with a backache. The linen and coverlets were so dated and dusty. There was a musty smell coming from the pillows, some of the towels had brown spots and did not look clean.
Out of the three bathrooms, one didn’t have a shower curtain or a door, making that shower unusable. The toilet water tanks take at least 45 mins to fill, we had to manually fill water if we wanted to use it in between.
Though the house is listed for 16 people, the sitting/living room only has seating for 5 people at a time. The dining table only sits 6 people. There was additional dining and sitting in the basement, but it was not practical as we wanted to eat and spend time as one group.
The inside of the kettle in the kitchen was covered in rust. The stove was so uneven that when we try to cook something, the pan keeps moving by itself on the stove.
All in all, this place needs updates, especially the furniture. It is in a beautiful location and would have been a great rental if only it had newer furniture.
