LUCKY og HAPPY fordi orkaner Irma og Maria hoppede over os! Miljøvenlig fordi vi udnytter bæredygtig energi (sikkerhedskopieret af batterier og nettet) og tilskynder til ansvarlig brug af energi, vand, rengøringsmidler og genbrug. Venligst bemærk opdaterede billeder siden stormen.
En 15 minutters kørsel langs en stille vej fra færgen i Cruz Bay vil bringe gæsterne til denne idylliske ø-indstilling. Beliggende knap over trætoppene og blot en 60 sekunders streg til stranden ligger den ferie hjemme du gerne vil gense.

Denne nye, afsondret, rummelige miljøvenlige Caribien villa har thailandsk indretning, tropiske pasteller, frodig vegetation og privat pool og spabad. Det fremmer friluftsliv, socialt samvær og blot at være. Det tilbyder en skovklædt sti bevogtet af hjorte, fugle og krabber nå en uberørt strand inden for 2-5 minutters gang. Slentre videre langs stranden bringer en til sukker mill ruiner, bjergstier til helleristninger og flere andre rolige strande.

I overensstemmelse med St. John fokus på bæredygtighed, Villa tilbyder mulighed for voksne og børn til at lære om solenergi alternativ energi, vand bevarelse og de unikke flora og fauna.

Plan om liggende i sengen hver morgen med solopgang udsigt over bjergene og havet, lytte til bristepunktet surfe. Nyd udsigten over havet i løbet af dagen fra alle dele af Villa, herunder swimmingpool og spabad. Svømme, snorkle, surfe, solbade privat eller tage en vandretur lige under Villa ind i nationalparken. Power is unstable and we were without power for 2 days. No AC for 2 days. You have to bag up your trash and take it into town in your own vehicle. TV is a Frankenstein set up. Beach is not for swimming.

Yes, the entire island is challenged recently with an unstable power grid. Fortunately, we have solar panels and battery backup for all basic services such as fans, refrigeration, water and toilets, lighting, cooking, entertainment. Yes, we do appreciate guests keeping the house clean by dropping off trash at the convenient roadside stations. Yes, TV is not emphasized nor large screen. Yes, our white sand beach is best for hiking, surfing, snorkeling and the adventurous.

Host and Viky were accommodating, responsive and fave great advice for enjoying St. John’s. The house was wonderful - well stocked kitchen, beach chairs, towels, snorkel fins, coolers etc to make the most of exploring. Loved the pool and hot tub, the breezes through the house, and the view was stunning! A wonderful, wonderful spot!

Comfortable Stay

We had a lovely time at the villa. It’s beautiful inside and out. It’s definitely an adventure staying on St John with the steep, curving roads. Beaches are beyond wonderful.

Reef Bay Holiday Villa

Spent a week at the Reef Bay Villa with my husband and four adult children and this home suited us perfectly. it was spacious, clean and well equipped. The view is amazing. It was a perfect home base for our national park adventure.

Unplug and just relax

Wonderful property in an especially rare setting. The park that borders the property is filled with amazing wildlife and great hiking trails. I highly recommend this to anyone that wants to truly unplug while only being 15 minutes from Cruz bay.

Nice Oceanview Getaway in Reef Bay!

Amazing views, spacious quarters and solid amenities make this place a must stay. A few minor snafus with keys, ac and pool but otherwise we really enjoyed it. Nice bonus having a hot tub and private path to beach out back. We hope to come back soon!

Beautiful house! Amazing Views!

This house is so well designed from the screened in eating porch to the location of the hotter overlooking an amazing bay. The location of the bedrooms gives great privacy because they are each in a different part of the house and you need to go outdoors to get from one to the other. There are two bedrooms next to each other that share a bathroom which was perfect for my daughter to share with her son.

Great escape.

Once I got used to driving the roads it was a wonderful adventure. The house was a lovely place to stay. We loved walking through the pathway to the beach. We loved looking out at the ocean from the jacuzzi. All the beds were king size and comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 of us to spread out and relax. We liked that it was hidden away from tourists and very private and quiet. Had everything we needed from pizza pans to kitchen towels to beach chairs and more.

Beautiful view

We just had a wonderful week at this villa. Everything was great and as described in the description on the listing. The beach down below is awesome with very few people if any.. it is located about 20 minutes fromCruz Bay. Three couples stayed, and it was very comfortable. Very breezy location so we didn’t need air conditioning at night which was nice to listen to the service and the birds. We will be back!

Amazing stay and location

My family of 4 (2 adults and 2kids 8 and 10) enjoyed our stay in St. John at reef bay holiday villa. We enjoyed the view, the pool and hot tub not to mention the view of the water and the night sky with so many stars (we saw a few shooting stars). Excellent location at about 20 minutes from Cruz bay and 30 minutes to north beaches. Since there was only outdoor access to the bedrooms this place wouldn’t be great for families with young kids unless they plan to share one bedroom but we made it work and the kids liked their independence. KatjAthe concierge was very helpful. Would definitely stay at this villa again.

Perfect place for active families

We loved everything about this place and it exceeded our expectation (which was already high). It is an ideal layout for two families (8 total) with teenagers. Reef Bay is an absolute gem that you can basically have all to yourself. Twice, we did not see a single person as we walked the shoreline. It looks out over the National Park, so there is nothing in your viewscape besides mountains, jungle and turquoise water. The villa was incredibly clean, beds comfy and it’s layout is very efficient. . Top notch all around.

Private and Quiet

Property location was exactly what we hoped for. You can’t see another house from the property looking out to the ocean. You only hear the ocean and birds. It was amazing to be able to walk down to the beach and then on to the reef trail. Be aware that you can’t really snorkel or swim at the private beach as it is too rough and rocky.Viky was great and was quick to address issues we encountered at the house. If you have teens that can’t live without their WIFI, be aware that the WIFI coverage doesn’t extend to the bedrooms. However there is a great screened porch with a big table for playing games and eating.

Holiday 2024

The house was secluded and well appointed. The owner and the concierge were great and responsive. It has great charm with excellent veiws of the bay. I woke up every morning to an amazing sunrise. And went to sleep every night with the moonrise! And the stars are incredible!!! As others have said the outdoor areas are small for socializing but we made it work. The path to the beach is precarious so proper shoes are a must! If you are prone to mosquitoe bites bringing proper clothing and bug spray is extremely important. The way the house is open air they get inside, even with screens. The owner had spray and a few candles that where helpful. The house is in the woods so this is expected. Just be prepared. I can't think of anything the house didn't have that we needed. Great memories were made and we would definitely consider staying here again!

All true. The outdoor areas are more intimate and separated. Mosquitoes are a problem for many of us (dawn and dusk) and we have learned to close screen doors promptly. We will provide an electronic Thermacell device for the outside area which works well. We have considerable forest exposure to wildlife despite the ocean breezes.

Reef Bay Villa

The Villa was very nice. Jonathan was great and Viki, the concierge and contact was fantastic. Viki was very patient with our delays at the car rental and allowed us a stop at the grocery store before taking us to the villa. We stayed Christmas week and St. John was packed. If I owned the villa, I would install a solar heating device on the roof for the pool. The temperature was 84 degrees outside, but the water was only 76 degrees and was not inviting to hang out in the water. It must be "ISLAND LIFE," but I would also install air conditioning in the main house and not just the bedrooms. The villa was great, but we decided that St. John is not for people over 50 years old. The island is beautiful and very hilly meaning you must be is pretty good shape to walk around. We missed a couple restaurant experiences because there were no elevators. Once we found a handicap parking spot in town, we always had a place to park because we were the only older folks there!While mom is 94 years old, we were able to access Trunk Bay and she loved swimming in the ocean.Thank you Jonathan and VikiThank you Jonathan and Viki

Thank you for the kind words. We do strive to provide a comfortable temperature with ceiling fans, air-conditioned bedrooms, cupola convection and the natural breezes of our windward coastline. The pool always has both sun and shade all day long with comfortable seating in or out of the water. One of the master bedrooms has no steps from the car to the living space, kitchen, pool and bedrooom. We welcome comments for particular needs.

This is THE Place!

The pictures as good as they are, could never do this lovely property justice. The wonderful layout and special touches to this carefully curated villa are boundless. I referred to it offerings as “the plenty of everything” that you generally don’t find in other rentals. The views are breathtaking, the pool is refreshing, and the spa with its jets and ocean views is invigorating after a long day of hiking, snorkeling, swimming or just laying around. The location is ideal, just 10 minutes from well-stocked grocery stores, but far enough away to feel like you’re relaxing in a private tree house atop a beautiful forest staring into the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. Just bring your clothes and very little more, the owners have the house full of every kitchen gadget to prepare a gourmet meal... we actually had a chef come to prepare a 5 course meal one night, and he had everything he needed. Viky the concierge is an absolute dream, so warm, professional and accommodating. The computer modem went out at 5pm our third night and a new one was installed by Henry the affable and very capable maintenance man the next morning with a smile- just a nod to this property’s commitment to gracious and timely service. I’d love to write more, but we loved it so much, we extended our stay another 3 days, and the pool with it’s amazing trade winds are calling. Seriously, stop looking around, this is the THE place.

Wonderful Honeymoon Location

We spent a week in Reef Bay Holiday Villa and couldn’t not have been happier with our choice. There were just two of us so we had way more space than we needed but we chose it for the privacy. It was a 5 minute rugged hike to the beach. We only saw two other people briefly the time entire time we were there. A 30 minute drive to Coral Bay and a 15 minute drive to the world famous North Shore beaches. Viki couldn’t have been more responsive to us and was easily accessible if we needed her, but gave us plenty of privacy. We did experience several power outages which is common on St. John but because the house runs on solar, it was only a minor inconvenience. The pool has views that cannot be beat, especially on a clear night. The stars are incredible and most of the time we felt we were on a secluded island with only a passing boat or two in the distance. The grill was a nice touch, especially on the nights when the power went out right as we were cooking dinner. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever you need to cook with. Several tips. 1) bug spray is essential for the evening (this is not a property issue but an island issue 2) wear water shoes when entering the beach water (many sea urchins) 3) mentally prepare for the St. John roads ahead of time. No one drives real fast but some steep hills and blind curves make for an experience, to say the least.4) Stock up on groceries for a few days as there isn’t a lot accessible without a drive to town. Will return for sure!

Beautiful private home with gorgeous views

We had a fantastic vacation! The home is well maintained. The living room is open air, which we loved. The eating areas are screened in and have lovely breezes off the ocean. There are mosquitoes, so the screens really protect you. The hot tub is huge and so relaxing. The rooms of the house are separated from each other, like separate houses. Our kids are older (9 & 11) so this worked awesome for our family. I could see this could be a little stressful if separated from younger ones. Our children loved to the pool when we were relaxing at the house. They provide some flotations for the pool and some snorkeling gear to use at the beach. The house beach really isn't very conducive to safe snorkeling with kids. The ocean is very wavy off the south side of the island. There are lots of sea urchins in this area. There were many surfers at our beach that we had fun watching! However, we snorkeled every single day of this vacation! We went to the north side of the island, to every beach. The waters are much calmer on the north side. We ended up renting nice snorkel equipment from a place in Cruz Bay. We were surprised at the cost of groceries on the island. ;) Viky, the villa host, was very helpful during our stay. She will meet you at the port or car rental place and will help navigate you to the house your first time. She was available by text message to help us with anything we needed! The Island and people will welcome you and appreciate any kindness. Slow down and expect some minor inconveniences and then you will be happy, not worry!
