My family and I had a wonderful time. Meg is a wonderful host! Her home was neat and clean. We enjoyed time down at the beach. Did some fishing and had a nice campfire for smores. Close to dining, hiking, tubing and golfing. We would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

A well appointed cottage on beautiful Crystal Lake. Mornings on the porch with a cup of coffee, looking out at the lake were wonderful. The kitchen had all the amenities and tools for creating family meals and the bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend this rental.

We enjoyed our stay at this home on Crystal Lake! The house was comfortable, clean, and located for easy visiting Beulah, Frankfort and Traverse City. We floated the Platte River, fished off the Beulah Pier, pontooned around Crystal Lake, and shopped all three cities. Loved lunch at The Cherry Hut, breakfast at Ursa Major Bistro, and pizza from Panano’s. A great week “Up North”!

GREAT SPOT!

Such a great spot right on the lake with your own beach, paddle boards, kayaks, dock, and everything you could need. Would definitely go again.

Meg's house is lovely. She has done a lot of work to make this house comfortable and attractive. The location is great, walkable to downtown Beulah and on a bike path. Why 4 stars? There are notes that assume people need to be reminded about many basic things - not to damage counters, walls, floor, etc. The door coming in from outside to the porch needs a better solution than a note saying not to slam the door as even a careful closing is sometimes noisy. The humidifier was running when we got there and the note said to empty it every day. It's VERY heavy and I could not do it. After 3 days of having my husband empty it, he just turned it off. A highlight is the lights - many places we've stayed have low wattage bulbs and Meg has lovely lighting throughout the house. The bathrooms are newly remodeled and large for cottage bathrooms. The kitchen is updated and has everything you need. There is mooring but you have to bring your own ball and snorkeling mask and find the mooring anchor under about 4' of water. Worked for us as we brought a small sailboat and used the public boat launch. All bedrooms have a view of the lake!

Walking into Beulah was not too far and we liked being right on the bike path.

A lovely stay in a well-equipped, nicely decorated cottage on Crystal Lake. We were 5 adults and 2 children and the cottage was comfortable and pleasant. The dock and kayaks provided many hours of enjoyment for both adults and children. In particular the screened in front porch and spacious kitchen were perfect for us throughout the week. The host was helpful when we had questions and check in was easy.Would highly recommend.

Beautiful Lake view

Location was great; right on the lake and bike trail as well as being a short walk into town. Also close to Frankfort which is a bigger town. Great that there are kayaks and chairs as well as a fire pit for use. House was clean and set up was nice.

Perfect!

Had a wonderful time at your beautiful cottage! Everything we could possibly need was there, super clean and location is great! Outdoor area large and very well set up, had coffee every morning on the dock. Meg was very responsive and accommodating - thanks for sharing your place!

Wonderful stay!

Property was listed accurately. It's within walking distance to downtown beulah. Having the bike path right there was great. We loved sitting out by the water; crystal lake is beautiful. The house was renovated well and had all the amenities we needed. I would definitely recommend this rental for anyone looking to enjoy crystal lake!

Beu - tiful- lah

I have been coming up to Crystal lake since I was a teenager and coming up with a group of girlfriends was so special. The house was spacious and perfect for the 12 of us. Lots of amenities and a short walk into town. Would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully I will be back!

Memorial weekend

We had a great time! Meg was a wonderful host. She was very quick to respond with any of my questions. The house is beautiful and clean, all the information on the property was very clear. Check in and out very easy, we will definitely visit again!

Girlfriend getaway

We had wonderful weather, the house was perfect for our 4 friends getaway. The wind's we're strong so we didn't get too enjoy the lake this time. We'll be back for sure.

Amazing Week

Our family has been traveling to Crystal for generations, and each year, we grow! We are always on the hunt for the perfect home to serve as extra space for our rather large family. The house was beautiful and so well done. We had everything we needed and Meg was a super amazing host! The beach had so many fun things to do and the dock was gorgeous. Can’t wait to stay again next year.

Family Lake Vacation

Our family vacation with 6 adults was amazing - the house was just as promised, roomy, clean, within walking distance from the town and right on the bike path. The waterfront was perfect - with paddle boards, a canoe and kayaks. We all used them every day. One of my favorite parts was sitting out on the screened front porch with coffee early every morning and watching the lake wake up. Truly a wonderful place!!

The house was remodeled on the inside and was very well done. We enjoyed meals and games at the extendable dining table. Kitchen had nice baking dishes and pots and pans but only one dish towel so you might want to bring several. There was a regular coffee pot but no k-cup capability. Our kids brought their own Espresso machine. All bedrooms were upstairs and easily access the upstairs bathroom and hall laundry. There were reading lamps beside the beds which was important to us and beds were comfortable with beautiful views of Crystal. Our family really enjoyed using the paddle boards and a kayak, so much fun out in the lake. Even though there are some rocks closer to the shore, there is a sandy bottom with occasional rocks or a few sticks beyond that. We found beach water shoes just made it more comfortable. The screened porch was a wonderful place to read or watch the lake activity. The road between the house and the beach had bicycles, walkers, and cars/trucks periodically. We rented a very nice pontoon boat for one afternoon and easily loaded and unloaded on the dock at the house. We rented canoes at Riverside Canoes, always a favorite, and completed the trip just as the smoke from Canada started to roll in. We spent the next day and a half inside the house playing games and reading until we purchased some N95 masks which enabled us to enjoy going to the shops and dinner in Frankfort and visiting Point Betsie Lighthouse. Many great memories created!

Wonderful home

We had an amazing Labor Day weekend at this home. Fished off the dock, went into Frankfort, golfed at Arcadia, in short the home is in proximity to everything! The fire pit at night was our favorite part. The home is quaint and they did a great job on kitchen/bathroom Reno’s. We grilled and cooked one night, had everything in the kitchen we needed (and more). Thank you for having us!!

Lovely lake cottage

The property was as advertised. Meg was accessible by phone when needed which for us was just to get our boat settled In on the first day. We’ve been vacationing in Michigan for many years, primarily at Lake Leelanau. This was our first time at Crystal Lake and it was absolutely beautiful! We loved that Meg’s place was so close to the town and she provided paddle boards and kayaks which kept us all in the water constantly! Very clean, lovely lake home.

Beautiful home on a beautiful lake

This was our first visit to Crystal Lake, but it won’t be our last. This lovely home was recently renovated to become a beautiful, restful retreat. Meg didn’t miss any details in her remodel. We enjoyed swimming, boating, a canoe trip, a visit to the beach, reading on the roomy screened in porch, and relaxing. The teenagers enjoyed the paddle boards provided and also had their spacious bunk room in which to retreat from the parents for a while. 100% recommend, we would stay here again!

Perfect location and acommodations!

We were originally going to have four stay here. We ended up with just the two of us, so it was lots of extra space. Families will love it! The view is spectacular at all times of day and night. It's a quiet street, so mostly foot traffic and those on bikes. Easy access to downtown Beulah and Frankfort. Easy drive to Lake Michigan. Wonderful interior, lots of amenities, spacious bathrooms, beutiful kitchen, and outstanding hosts! We would definitely go back!!!

Location, location, location, and a gorgeous house

Stayed Sep 23-30th. Great house with everything we needed, both inside and out. Very quiet road and felt an extremely safe neigbourhood. Even this late in the year the lake was warm enough for paddling and a swim, and the weather held firm for some fun kayaking and canoeing. Beulah is a cute town with plentiful amenities just a short walk away. Owner responsive and not at all intrusive, and starter pack a pleasant surprise. Would happily return if we get the chance (came over from UK and Canada).
