Hawaiian Island Kauai newly remodeled (6/26) beachfront house with an incredible location on the North Shore of Kauai in between Hanalei and Haena close to Tunnels. The 3/4 acre property features a large sandy beach point. Some of the islands best snorkeling and shelling right out front of the house. This 2 bed 2 bath home has full wrap around covered lanais offering unmatched views of the Pacific Ocean and stunning surrounding Mountains. The home has an expansive lush green grassy yard with coconut and ironwood trees flowing in the cool tradewinds. This home features upper living room (w/ sofa sleeper), dining room, fully updated entertainer's kitchen and huge wrap-around lanai with grill for you to dine, relax and watch the waves and whales rain or shine. Downstairs features 1 king primary bedroom with its own private lanai, 2nd King bedroom with adjacent full bath and private covered patio, and a bonus room with laundry. This property is in a tsunami zone.

We were not able to visit the house due to hurricane Lowell but the owner was excellent at communicating with us and giving us a full refund. Looking forward to being able to rebook. The owner was beyond great!

This was a truly special place to stay and hosts Dave and Nicki are absolutely wonderful and have such a beautiful home.Everything was absolutely perfect and didn’t have to worry about a thing. From pots and pans to spices to beach chairs and sand toys -they had everything you could ever need. The home was beautiful and clean. Waking up and drinking coffee on the deck or watching the sunset or sunrise every day was a dream. We can wait to come back next summer and make this annual family trip!! Absolutely magical and missing it already.

One of my favorite houses I have ever stayed in. Beautiful lot and living space on an exceptional stretch of North Shore beach with accessible water. My family and I had the best days of our extended vacation here. The kitchen, home, and outdoor areas were all well stocked, from cookware, to beach towels to lawn games and snorkel gear. The back lawn made for an awesome space to throw the frisbee and football between beach combing and snorkeling. The ocean water at Kepuhi is quite accessible to the left side of the beach frontage (there can be a current pushing off the point on the right side) and I agree with others who noted this may be the best easily accessible snorkeling on the island during summer given that at its busiest you may be sharing the reef with 2-3 other people. There is also about 25 feet of sandy bottom calm entrance for those who just want to get into the water before you get to about 150-200 yards of pristine shallow reef filled with a beautiful variety of healthy coral specimens, fish and sea turtles. This local beach has a nice community feel (although never busy) and my kids enjoyed meeting the many dogs (and owners) who came to play at sunrise and sunset, both of which can be viewed from this stretch of beachIt was a pleasure to communicate with Nicki, and you can tell she cares deeply about both her guests as well as the local Haena community. I hope to have the opportunity to stay here again soon with my family, as it is a special place.

Serene perfection. I've rented several beachfront houses on this very street, and this one is simply the best. It's hard to know where to begin: the house is beautifully designed/renovated, impeccably organized with literally everything you need in the kitchen (including a grill, which we used every day!), and decorated in a clean, minimalist style with beautiful accents. Ceiling fans in every room to keep things cool, and extraordinary views in every direction from every window. One evening we were even treated to a fire performance taking place on the beach, which we watched from the deck. And about that beach: Most people know about Tunnels for snorkeling - and it's great to have that close by - but the beach right in front of the house is the truly the best snorkeling on the island. We rented bikes from John at the Bike Doktor in Hanalei (he delivers/picks up), and we loved cruising down the road to other local beaches and to visit the Limahuli Botanical Garden (do not miss it!). There was a glitch with the water heater on our first day, but the hosts addressed it in less than an hour, and then made arrangements to have it replaced before the next guest arrived (we had no other problems with hot water or anything else during our stay). Communication with them was super-easy, friendly, and I felt they really cared about ensuring we had the very best stay possible, which we did - and we would absolutely return. Thank you Nicki and Dave for a glorious stay!

Incredible views and location

This place is pretty special. The lanai is worth the price alone....we spent a ton of time just watching the waves and relaxing. Then walk 50 yards to an awesome beach that is not very crowded at all.

Our family splits time between our home in Malibu and Kepuhi Kai on Kauai. Our love for the beach, hiking, surfing and all things Hawaii led us to amazing Kauai beaches.

Derfor valgte værten dette overnatningssted

In 2016, we took our first family trip to Kauai. We immediately fell in love with the the island and in particular the North Shore. The island's relaxed, friendly vibe coupled with its unparalleled natural beauty led us to purchasing Anini Kai in 2018. We then discovered the Hanalei and Haena area and fell in love and decided to purchase Kepuhi Kai in 2019. We wanted to find a place where we could enjoy the best the island has to offer, close to the beach and convenient to our favorite restaurants and activities, and share all that we love about Kauai with family and friends.

Derfor er dette overnatningssted unikt

We have found that there are very few spots which can match the beauty of Kepuhi beach and the proximity to the reef, as well as the privacy offered on Alamo'o Rd, all while being a short drive from the shops and restaurants of Hanalei, Princeville and Kilauea.
