Ski Bear Get Away, en sand ski-in / ski out condo, ligger ved siden af Bear Mountain Ski Resort. Gå ind i det opdaterede condo og i familieværelset, hyggeligt på de komfortable sofaer eller sidde foran pejsen. Fang dit foretrukne show på fladskærms-tv eller sidde på terrassen og nyd udsigten over skråningerne.

Spisesalen har rigelig siddepladser til hele din gruppe. Køkkenet giver en god plads til at lave et måltid med nyligt opgraderede apparater i rustfrit stål, herunder en kombination af gas / ovn, mikroovn, opvaskemaskine og køleskab / fryser. Der er en Keurig kaffemaskine til rådighed. Lige ved køkkenet er der et pulverbad og en stabelbar vaskemaskine og tørretumbler til rådighed for lejer.

Great location on the base of a ski slope, not too busy but close to everything. The Zoo is right down the hill and the lake is 5 minute drive. So quiet and peaceful away from the busy main area. Nice amenities with streaming services, hot tub (nice size), trails to hike, coffee machine. Comfortable beds. Could have fluffier pillows.

The place was perfect we had a child with us and they even had stuffed animals and a saucer for her to ride in the snow in the front yard it was magical definitely come back again

Wedding celebration

The place was very clean, comfortable and had all of the amenities we needed. I thought the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a two bedroom place to stay in Big Bear.

Snow weekend

The cabin was absolutely perfect for our stay and made skiing in and out so easy! My friends and I want to make it an annual trip. Highly recommend.

Great stay and great location

The walk to the slopes was less then 2 minutes. I think without the Covid restrictions and controlling the people on the mountain you could walk right on the slopes. The house had plenty of space and all needed supplies.

It was okay

When we went to check in the door wouldn’t open because it was locked incorrectly. We had to wait half an hour for someone to come. The place was okay but I think the carpets and couches could use a cleaning. We tried to use the dryer and it was so squeaky we couldn’t stay in the house while it was going. Bird poop was on everything outside and there were some dead birds in the fake tree at the front door. It can use some cleaning up.

great ski weekend

Perfect location - can't beat being right on the ski slope. Condo is very clean and in good condition. Bedrooms and beds very comfortable. Stuff worked! - kitchen appliances, fire place, TV etc. Excellent... small details: - it has a Keurig, NOT a drip coffee maker , so don't show up with coffee beans/ground coffee (you need K-cups) - needs a pasta strainer - info sheet said there would be parking passes in the condo....but they were not there But....still fantastic place...I would stay again.

Storm Skiing

I'm a 75ish old guy who likes to ski storms and I hit a great one for my stay. The ideal element of this place was its immediate proximity to the slope—true ski-in-ski-out in three feet of new snow. The jacuzzi tub was very, very nice, and the view from the master bedroom to the slopes was brilliant. I dug out the car twice, (wish there had been a garage) but the run out of the parking spot was down hill. and the very active work on the part of the HOA made sure I was dug out for an early departure. Well done in every way... AND... I'm am old hand at bad weather, but the management did a GREAT job of giving the right advice. This is an ideal place for two couples or a couple of old guys who are there to ski themselves into the ground. The only thing lacking for me was a pal. Next time I see a dump coming, I'll try to book this place again.

Good stay overall but a few gotchas

I think overall the place was pretty nice, clean, and cozy. My three boys enjoyed the large second bedroom with a bed each all to themselves. I wish the couch was a bit bigger to accommodate 6 people but we made it work. The kitchen was fairly well stocked except it does not have a blender. The blinds on the back patio are very cumbersome and difficult to deal with. The check-in process was OK but was a little stressed out trying to get there before they closed when I could have easily just done everything online. The upstairs room had a lamp that had a bulb but did not work and another lamp without a bulb. We switched the bulb and that is how we were able to have light in that room. I would have to say my biggest complaint was that the place is advertised as "ski-in/ski-out" and there's a premium associated with that. There was no information provided beforehand that the ski resort is currently fenced off which makes the ski-in/ski-out option non existent. If I had known that I would have likely chosen a less expensive option with more space and other amenities like hot tubs, table games, etc... I think this is a bit misleading and left a sour taste in my mouth. The only other complaint I had was that on the last day we were there the gate code was changed and nobody informed us until after we sat at the gate trying the previous code many times and finally having to call the support number. Not sure if we would stay again just because I felt we were misled by this property owner and there are many other options available. Would have probably rated at least one star higher without that issue.

Unfortunate let down - pictures misleading

I began a list of issues/ disappointments during my stay. I also have pictures. At first, I tried to give the company and/or owners the benefit of the doubt. However, it became apparent on day one that we’d continue to be dissatisfied. Of note, there was a total of 4 of us - one child, age 9. Ultimately we ended up just sleeping there - so in that regard it served it’s purpose, but still was a huge disappointment overall. I would caution families on staying here unless steps are taken by the company/ owner to improve this place. List of issues: - bugs in ice trays. There was 4 trays - all had bugs and were dirty. Refused to use. - AC unit is present, however they don’t let you use it. Upstairs in particular got VERY WARM. Even with windows and sliders open. Also of note, the screens have holes so it lets in bugs and such in the event you do want to try and be somewhat comfortable - Cleanliness overall is not what you’d expect from an actual company that specializes in vacation rentals. Examples include but not limited to: soap scum in shower/ bath, dust, staining/ spots on walls, fabric, doors, floors. The fireplace seemed to have been used at some point without opening the flume - there is smoke stains all above the fireplace and ceiling. It looks like they attempted to clean it, but gave up when they realized how much effort it would take as it is just smeared around. - The light upstairs in one of the rooms was out which is also noted on the last review - Ants in the kitchen. Started as just a few but increased throughout our stay even though we kept everything clean and didn’t eat meals there. - Couch is horrible. You sit and sink to the frame - even the slip cover does nothing to help it & has it own holes, staining, wear and tear. - Beds are on the harder side and not comfy. Both myself and daughter have blown lower discs in lumbar and these beds didn’t help pain wise. - the outlet plugs work but almost all of them don’t hold whatever you are plugging in - it just falls out constantly - Most if not all the kitchen stuff was old, worn and dirty. Ended up not eating or cooking there. - numerous bugs and spider webs. In particular above the blinds, there was a huge crazy web and spiders. - looked to be missing smoke alarm(s). The holder part was there but no smoke detector. Overall our trip was great due to our other activities. But we will NOT be using this company/ location again for the reasons mentioned above.

I appreciate your feedback and have passed it on cleaning and maintenance department that have resolved your problems. Unfortunately, only 10% of homes in Big Bear have AC. This home just so happens to be one of the homes that do not have it. We do list this in the description of the home. What we do recommend, due to the majority of the homes not having AC, is opening the windows at night, as well as turning on the ceiling fans, and some of the box fans in homes. Unfortunately, it is ant seasons and we are experiencing sightings in some of our homes. We appreciate you notifying us of this issue and will do our best to control and prevent them. Sadly this is what we see in living in the mountain. It looks like our resolutions team tried to reach out to you to resolve these issues but we have received no response. Thank you for staying with us and letting us know about your concerns we hope you give us another chance to make your next stay more grand.

Condo stay

I read a prior review and was nervous about it. We actually found the condo to be cute and the beds were comfortable. I suggest a new couch, as the other reveiwer did. It's very old and needs to be replaced. One concern we did come across, though. In the evening, as we were heading in, a neighbor flagged us down and told us to move our cars outside of the complex because the complex was being repaved the next morning. He had a notice about it and thankfully passed it on to us. When I contacted Big Bear Destinations, they kept telling me to talk to the "condo office," which there isn't one on site. Basically, the owner never notified the rental company of this situation, and I was told by the rental company that they association doesn't tell them about those things. There was no parking on the street outside of the condo, so we had to hike down the hill. It was inconvenient.
