Wildlife Ramp en halv kilometer væk på lydsiden. (se billeder) Store solnedgange efter den aften gåtur på stranden eller fra bådrampen dock siddepladser. House er et roligt skraveret sted for det efter strandhvilen med en afskærmet veranda. Lyt til aftenbølger, der styrter ned på stranden. Perfekt morgenmad stedet også. Hus fuldt udstyret til komfort. Bare medbring dine badehåndklæder og udstyr. Udenfor jordniveau bruser og fodvask i bunden af trappen holder trægulve rene og komfortable. Let gåafstand eller cykler til rådighed til at ride til alt i Emerald Isle, restauranter, mole, butikker, købmandsforretninger, is og postkontor. Book dit ophold og velkommen!

We had a great stay! The house was equipped with all things needed for our family of 5. Kelley was quick to respond to emails and very informative when replying to any questions. We will definitely plan another visit in the future.

Great Beach Vacation

This was our second year to stay at this great location in Emerald Isle. We had a great stay last year and this year was just as comfortable as we expected. We love the neighborhood location and short walk to the beach. Our three generation family felt at home and look forward to staying here again next year!

Wonderful!

Comfortable beach house with an awesome screened in porch that was perfect for all times of day and weather. Easy living for an effortless family vacation. Great living spaces and beach access.

Beach trip

The house was well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. We cooked a lot and I don’t remember struggling to find something I needed. The downstairs (outside) shower was nice. The upstairs shower was very small and if you have kids that need a bath you’re out of luck. The beach was beautiful as always. We had a lot of days the water was just too aggressive and that’s a bummer. Of course, that has nothing to do with the host. We had some issues with the air upstairs, but he got it resolved quickly. The sun room was so nice. This place is not conducive to anyone with handicaps. When I booked it wasn’t an issue, but my dad had knee surgery in January and it only made things worse. My husband also has some things creep up on him since January as well. There are stairs everywhere and it was very difficult for them. The stairs to the top floor are very extremely steep. I worried about my kids falling down them. Of course, this has nothing to do with the host…just something to know before booking if it applies to your family.

Beautiful spot

The location was perfect…short walk to quiet beach, easy bike ride to coffee, restaurants, grocery store. The screened porch was peaceful and shaded. Ample space inside to spread out. Grill and outdoor shower completed the package. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little house

House was great. Kitchen was stocked well with pots, pans and necessary dish ware. Bathrooms are quite small and the stairs leading to the second floor are quite steep.

Crystal Coast fun!

Nice home in a nice area! The best thing about the house is the refrigerator with the filtered water and ice maker! The screened in porch was nice too. Beach access ok, the boardwalk has many steps which can be difficult when carrying chairs! All in all we had a very enjoyable stay.

We will be back!

This beach house was a wonderful home away from home. Two bedrooms were on the main floor and two bedrooms were on the second floor which worked perfectly for our 3 generation family visit. It was an easy walk to the beach access but yet nice that the house was nestled in shade trees. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch, outdoor shower and visiting with the home owner. Hope to return next summer as the house and location were excellent!

Good location and a short walk to the beach

Comfortable lounging area for watching TV at night. The AC worked well in the house. It was very clean when we arrived and the neighborhood is very nice and family friendly. There is a palmetto bug issue with this property that should be addressed as we saw them daily.

Perfect Property in Emerald Isle

Perfect location just a 3 minute walk to the beach. Everything inside is clean and beautifully decorated. The large outdoor shower and onsite laundry are such added bonuses! We enjoyed listening to the waves, birds, and katydids on the screened in porch in the evenings. Large sand width on the beach and no public access - lots of room for families to spread out and enjoy the water and sand sports! Can't wait until our next visit!

Family Beach Week

This place was great for our family! The property was very clean and well stocked. It was a good location. The only negative was the ceiling being so low at the top of the stairs. Two members of our family (both over 6 foot) hit their heads pretty hard when coming down the stairs. There really should be a warning or caution sign for that!

Shady and Breezy

This house was located in a grove of Live Oaks so the screened porch was a shady and breezy place to gather. All the beds were very comfortable and there was air conditioning in every room. The fridge had a very efficient ice maker. The outdoor shower which we used instead of the bathroom showers was roomy, no spiders (!) and plenty of hot water. The propane grill was almost luxurious. A plus, the owner was on the property for our week's stay so he was available to answer our questions.

Emerald Isle Escape!

As a group of friends, this house fit our needs pretty well. It provided enough space to have privacy when wanted and the cozy communal areas when gathered together. Our favorite spot was the screened in deck area where we enjoyed our morning coffee or gathered in the evening to enjoy each other’s company! The outdoor shower was also a great addition so we could wash off all that sand from the beach! Also, the large dining table was great for when we enjoyed meals together and played games. To be honest, we thought it was sort of odd having Kelley on property, but he came to the rescue when the outdoor grill wasn’t working. He was persistent to get it up and running for us even after we told him it was ok, we would use the oven. He continued on and resolved the issue for us! Our only complaints were that the door knob/lock at the main door stuck and was hard to get locked/unlocked and the property could use a little bit of a deep cleaning.

Adult family summer respite

5 adult siblings returned to this property in Emerald Isle during a heat wave. The house was cool, the screened porch ceiling fan perfect in the am/pm, and the beach easily accessible from this immaculate 4 bedroom house. The owners graciously interacted with us in advance of and during our stay with local COVID tips and easy conversation. The open plan kitchen to living room/ dining room facilitated ongoing laughter while we took turns cooking each night or refilled coolers for beach time. Walking and biking in the neighborhoods was safe and pleasant and the 1/4 mile walk to the public boat entry was perfect for viewing the NEOWISE comet over the sound under brilliantly clear skies. Kitchen was well equipped for all our needs, beds comfortable, ample towels, and 2.5 baths if you count the outside shower (which was spacious and heavily used!). Security was very good with a coded entry. This house is only several miles from 2 groceries (Food Lion and Publix) as well as the entry bridge over the gorgeous sound where we rented kayaks from Barrier Island Kayaks. Highly recommend, and hope to return again. House layout easily accomodates adults or children. Very young children will be slightly challenged by steeper steps to second floor bedroom with 2 twin beds.

Reasonable, convenient, and cozy

Comfortable living room, good proximity to beach, groceries, and Bogue Sound. Well-stocked kitchen. Kelley promptly took care of anything that arose and kindly leant us his canopy when ours fell apart in the wind. The porch is a nice addition though due to heat, we spent more time inside. Enough room in living room for games, reading, and those who had to work.

Family Reunion

The house was comfortable, clean and welcoming! We had a family reunion with three other houses and all agreed...our house was best! Well equipped, great outdoor shower, nice open living room, great grill...a winner! We would highly recommend it!

Paradise

My wife and I had such a special week in this home. You could not ask for a better home to stay in. Super clean, every amenity you could ask for, all cooking utensils, K-cup, coffee maker etc etc. Short walk to the beach, great parking. I could go on and on. Highly recommend this home for family's as well as a getaway for couples!! Cant wait to book for next time.

Excellent experience - July 2021 family vacation

House is very clean and close to the beach! We especially enjoyed the screened in porch. Great spot for families and quiet neighborhood. Kelley was very responsive throughout the booking process and thru our stay!

After some stays on the east coast and house-hunting trips up the coast starting as far south as Hilton Head, decided Crystal Coast was the right choice. Emerald Isle had that noncommercial feel we liked. Area amenities, climate, lifestyle, and THE OCEAN make Emerald Ilse an easy choice for us and our guests.
