Florida trip

We drove down from Texas and vacation was awesome. Family from Louisiana stayed around the same area we were but the condos that we stayed in for awesome. Pool was beautiful. The beaches were lovely. It was a great stay. I will do this again. Thanks for everything.

Excellent Condo; Poor Resort Check-in

The condo was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, and had a good view of the ocean. Covered parking was convenient to the elevator and beach access was across the street from the resort. Beaches were clean and weren’t crowded (unlike those closer to the Pier), so that was a big plus. Unfortunately check-in took over an hour due to the Portofino office not locating a form sent in by the owner 5 days earlier. The owner resubmitted the form and we were able to get checked in after we contacted VRBO and they reached him. Once we were checking in, the resort tried to charge us additional fees so read your contract closely so you know what you’ve paid for before paying it again. I’m thinking the clerks didn’t know what they were doing. They also charge $100 for incidentals that is refunded when you check out. The resort also delayed another person who booked through a 3rd party so it appears to be their negligence. There should be a way to verify the office got the email instead of delaying guests like this.

Beautiful Condo - Perfect for my Family of 4!

Where do I start... if you are on the fence just go ahead an book this one already! Amazing view, clean, comfortable, firm bed in Master, wonderful soaking tub, three bathrooms. + Two beach chairs, beach wagon, highchair, blow dryers, plenty of games, grill, plenty of chairs on the balcony. Everything is as pictured. Location was very close to bay and right next to lifestyle center where the Starbucks, gym, indoor pool and restaurants and big pools are located. This Building (4) has it's own very secluded not crowded private pool and hot tub with view of the bay. It is about 4 blocks from the beach. Not too bad but would be too far for my mom to walk so thought it would be important to note. There are shuttles around the property that will come get you with a phone call. We loved this condo, Portofino is amazing. We will be back!

Beautiful condo

The condo is absolutely gorgeous, with an amazing balcony view. Perfect for drinking coffee in the morning. The owner was helpful and responsive via text/call. The check in/check out process was a bit painful. The workers in the office part, were all not on the same page and there was zero communication going on. They overcharged me for some items, and gave me a bit of trouble to get the problem figured out. They did get it situated after I had to call a few times. Again the owner and the condo was amazing and we loved that part of our stay. But just check your bank statements so you don’t have any surprise charges.

Everything in the condo was very nice and comfortable. Staying in tower 4 has easy access to the bay, that is great when the gulf is a little to rough.

We have been coming to Portofino since '06. This condo has fabulous views of the beach. It is beautifully decorated. The beach chairs were very handy since we didn't pack our own this year.

Always enjoy staying at Portofino.

After a nightmare check-in, most everything else was good. The condo was exactly as stated and the view lovely. The most serious issue is the fact that the manager of the property never sent me any confirmation or information even though I had paid in full more than a month before arrival and I had contacted him and was told he would email me. He never did and the young man at the office for check-in was left with a problem he hadn't created but had to deal with (and did so with patience and concern). I was told this was not the first time this manager (Remax) has not done his job so I only hope the owners of the condo are paying attention to this issue. The other problem was the sheets on the guest room bed had blood stains! NOT GOOD! A less serious problem was that the mechanisim on one of the recliners (very comfortable) is broken. I truly regret having to leave a negative review because the condo itself is lovely but those two issues are a deal breaker for me to rent this condo again and the owner should be aware of this and take action.

Great Vacay

I viewed a considerable number of condos and chose this unit based upon the decor, layout and views. And the grill. Everything was better than I expected. The 8th floor offered views of the Gulf from every room. Portifino is magnificent. Highly recommend the catamaran cruise to see the Blue Angles practice. Quite a spectacle. Thanks Kenneth. I’ll be back!

Amazing Property

This was a truly amazing property. It was very grand and beautiful. I would definitely stay again. My only critique is that the check in for the entire property is at the same time. Therefore, the wait for checking in was a little long.

Perfect last family vacation

We used Portofino as our last family vacation leading to our daughter’s wedding. It was absolutely perfect. Beautiful setting, plenty of space for all of us and all our stuff. The wedding dress, tuxes and bridesmaid dresses all found spacious closets. Comfortable beds made for restful nights. Large living room was a great backdrop for family meals and card games. The kitchen was well-designed and convenient. Best of all, the gorgeous views snd luxurious amenities complimented our wedding week.

Pleasant experience

The property was great, the property has just about everything you need and you don’t have to leave the resort unless you want to. The view was great and the condo was very nice. I wish there was more communication from the host prior to check in and what the process was, details about the property, WIFI info, etc. Overall we had a pleasant experience and would recommend to others.

The condo is beautiful and well stocked with kitchen supplies

They have the cheapest price if you rent early. Check in is easy. Owner communicated well. The condo is clean and spacious. We will rent again .

Best time ever in P-cola

This property was amazing!! Very well decorated and very comfortable! Portofino was absolutely beautiful and the beaches are the best!! We will most definitely be returning!

This was our 3rd stay in Portofino and 2nd at this condo. The location and view from this condo is amazing. We love our time at Portofino and are already counting the days to our stay in October in this same condo.

Gorgeous and peaceful

We loved our stay! The condo is beautifully decorated- like another review stated, the pictures don’t do it justice. Portofino is serene and beautiful with lots to do. The only thing I would have liked is clearer communication with the property management company. We had issues with check-in and had no check in instructions, but the manager was very helpful once I called. There was also a miscommunication with the cleaning crew who showed up two days early and questioned why we were still there. Clear instructions in Vrbo app or even just written in the condo would be helpful. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

We always enjoy staying at Portofino Resort through 14yrs.

Unit was nice and quite charming with the nautical theme through out. Breathtaking views of beach in every room!! Owner was having new fridge installed during our stay. Satisfaction knowing he cared about his property rental. Kept in touch through the delivery process and setup with onsite maintenance. Master bedroom remote wouldn’t work and seemingly could not be paired to TV by maintenance after several attempts, slight inconvenience to get up and down to change channel. This is a charming unit to stay!

Another great stay at Portofino

We've vacationed at Portofino Island Resort 16 years now, and it never disappoints! This was our first stay in Tower 4. The Nautical Whimsy appeared to have some newer upgrades and was as beautiful as the pictures online. Everything was clean and accomodating. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
