My family and I had a very comfortable stay. The house, the view, the property, it was all amazing. I would never have thought that we would ever get to experience a full tropical island experience like this.

This was an amazing property with outstanding views of the ocean, beautifully curated lawn and a serene driveway. We checked in late at night and the process was super easy.

Great property in an amazing location - off the beaten track on the windward coast, sunrise views over dramatic lava-rock shore. Very comfortable house and room to spread out and relax, including a big lawn and pool. Easy to get to Volcano National Park, up to Hilo and down the coast from here.

We had a wonderful stay! The oceanfront views were absolutely breathtaking and the highlight of the property. The home has a charming, rustic feel with beautiful woodwork and so much character.The location was perfect for exploring the east side of the island, including Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and Punaluʻu Black Sand Beach, while still being a peaceful place to come back and relax. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this home to anyone visiting the Big Island.

If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful estate, with a private pool, this is it! The property is about an hour away from the Kilauea Vocano, and, on the rain-forest side of the island. The kitchen is well-equipped, plus there is a BBQ, and a fireplace too for roasting marshmallows. The main bedroom is on the first floor, and the other sleeping areas on the lower floor. We highly recommend this home for those who want to get away from all the tourists in Lona-Kailua!

The back porch breezes are very refreshing. Porch and main room very large with plenty of gathering space and ocean view. Private, quiet property with lush tropical forest along side.

We had a great time staying here! The views are breathtaking, and the house and grounds are beautiful, very well kept, and thoughtfully maintained. There are plenty of sights to see and activities to enjoy in the surrounding area, which made the stay even more enjoyable.Jim and Meagan are excellent hosts who truly go above and beyond to make your stay memorable and stress-free. The check-in process was easy, and the house book was filled with countless helpful recommendations. They were also very responsive and quick to help if we needed anything at all.

Beautiful property on the ocean. Fabulous kitchen with plenty of supplies. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the fabulous views. Family really enjoyed the pool. Would definitely stay here again.

The location of this home is exceptional. Mornings were filled with the sounds of the ocean and the sunrises were beautiful. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is reasonably well-stocked with supplies. The host and property manager were easy to reach.

This beautiful home is for the visitor that wants to experience the iconic Hawaiian vacation. Just the short drive from the gate to the house was jaw dropping as we meandered through a jungle. The home is beautifully appointed and the view is stunning. The sound of the ocean crashing against the lava rock shoreline was mesmerizing and very relaxing. (There is no beach) Pool area was nice and the landscaping was stunning around the house. The house is spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything except condiments and spices. Bring your own if you want to cook. Overall, we had wonderful time spent at the house and, being from Texas, the beautiful drives to Hilo and Kona didn't bother us. Be prepared for rain and noisy frogs at night, but both were much appreciated. We plan to return to this beautiful home in an iconic Hawaiian setting. The Ivey family from Terlingua.

This is a truly stunning property with an incredible ocean view. The home and grounds are very beautiful and feel secluded although the house is in an easily accessible neighborhood and close to amenties. There was plenty of space for our whole family and we enjoyed making meals in the large kitchen and then enjoying them on the massive lanai. It was also a good home base for visting Volcanoes National Park and for day trips to Hilo.We loved our time here and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful grounds and home. We stayed here for a few nights to wind down at the end of an extended family trip. It was a great retreat and we enjoyed cooking a few meals in the kitchen. The living room could get a little warm during the day, but the bedroom AC was plenty comfortable.

The house was beautiful and the setting was gorgeous. We were very comfortable there. We had a couple of people who had to work during part of the stay, and the internet worked great. Also, it was nice that there were several desks for the working people. Some of us enjoyed running on the Government Beach Road - just gorgeous! We also really enjoyed breakfast at Pele's Kitchen in Pahoa.

This property is a hidden gem! The location is remote however perfect if you want be in the most peaceful and beautiful place ever. Jim and Meagan were excellent hosts, extremely attentive and responsive. Our family enjoyed our stay very much even with the tsunami! :)

Island Paradise

Our family vacation was absolutely amazing! This property is gorgeous, and the house was very clean. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the Island. The well stocked kitchen, comfortable living space and pool were a real plus. This was truly a fantastic VRBO experience. This property is highly recommended!
