Great place to stay

This property was a great place for us to stay, very close to downtown and National park! We will definitely stay here again next time we travel to Hot Springs.

We booked based on the pictures and overall great reviews. However, the house did not live up to our expectations and fell short of what is shown in the listing. The blue couch in the picture is no longer there. It now has a peeling, cracked, and broken faux leather couch. So cracked and peeling, in fact, that we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on that part of it. There is a window unit in the bedroom directly next to the bed which is not in the pictures. I appreciate the a/c, but had cold air directly in my face all night. And, the window unit means the window is not completely sealed up, which allowed wasps to get in.The patio is gross, covered in dust and spider webs. There were only two chairs instead of four, there are no cushions on the chairs, and the grill is broken and dirty.There were several bugs and other dead insects around the house.The mattress pad and pillow was deeply stained, which we didn't realize until we stripped the bed for check-out. I sent all of this and more to the property contact person. He responded that he would pass it all on to the owner. That's all. Hopefully your experience is better than ours. But just know that what is posted on VRBO is not accurate. There just seems to be an overall lack of care and attention to detail.The house has massive potential, it's just not being lived up to right now.

Weekend getaway

This place was perfect for our weekend getaway! It’s super cozy and clean. Very close to all the attractions that we wanted to see.

Great Deal and Close to Everything!

This house was perfect for my wife and me. We had everything we needed and it was a short drive or quick walk to Bathhouse Row and all the restaurants, shops, and attractions. Beau was responsive to our questions and the house looked just like the pictures. We would stay again.

Clean and easy

Location was good to downtown but due to other activities we chose to drive. Everything was clean and easy to check-in. Communication was great from owner. Easily like a home away from home.

Do not be fooled by the lovely pictures. This place is shabby, in a terrible neighborhood, and was dirty. Underwhelming to say the least. My fiancée and I moved out after a single night there and found a better place by the lake. Avoid.

A Perfect Hideway

The Hideaway was an ideal place to relax, read, watch movies and enjoy the presence of someone you love. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood and located within walking distance of the Historic District, gift shopping and bathhouses. The accommodations are comfortable, beautifully decorated and stocked with amenities you would find in a five star hotel. Be prepared to climb a few stairs, as it is not designed for persons with disabilities.

Great Getaway

Beau’s renovated home “the Hideaway” is a perfect small home that gives you a city Flat vibe such as a ‘Pied a Terre’. Great for a couple or business person, the Hideaway offers a quiet setting in a once neglected area that is slowly being revitalized! It’s safe and conveniently located within walking distance to the northern end of all thing’s historic downtown Hot Springs. Inside the home, you will see it was recently renovated! Plan on getting a restful night sleep on the extremely comfortable king mattress! The bathroom offers a generous sized, tiled, walk in shower too! We were comfortable the entire time we were in the home!

Cute, clean, comfortable

Very clean, nicely decorated, cute property with great bed and nice linens. Easy check in, but would have preferred 3 o’clock instead of 4! Parking on street was easy, short drive to bath house row. Walking was 15-20 min easy walk to baths/downtown restaurants, but we decided to drive after walking it. As another reviewer said it is up steep stairs to enter property - not a problem for us but might be if someone in your group can’t do stairs. Kitchen nice but could use a good knife, cutting board, a tea kettle and salt! All in all a good place to stay. Thank you!

Comfortable spot, great location

The Hideaway is well-located in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for easy access to downtown Hot Springs and other area attractions. (Garvan Woodland Garden highly recommended). The interior is attractive with comfortable seating, a good, firm bed, and a fabulous shower. Communication with the hosts was timely and made for easy front door access. It worked well for a stay of several days for two of us. Our only reasons for a 4-star rather than a 5 rating have to do needed upgrades to the porch and patio furnishings. We also found upon arrival that the property sits well above the street with two sets of steps, one short set, one long. Good handrails and lighting are provided. Would give 4.5 rating if that was available.

Clean and nice location

Stayed a weekend here at the hideaway. Loved how close it was to the main strip and the bathhouses. Would definitely stay here again!

Hot Springs stay

Overall the property was clean and comfortable. Our issues were with safety. The neighborhood was in a low rent area (sketchy). Parking was on the street across from the house, and had to go up two sets of steep steps to get in the unit. No deadbolt lock on door, just keypad entry. Not secure feeling at all!

Hi Beverly. I do apologize that you did not feel safe. We were not addressed with any concern you had at the house. I assure you and any future guests that we have not had any issues with the "area" being sketchy. The steps are disclosed in pictures of the unit, and the keypad entry is a deadbolt type entry, along with a deadbolt on the back door as well.

Hot Springs

We loved this place! Clean and as photos described. Truly is within walking distance to Bath House Row and good restaurants. Highly recommended! Don’t bother to look further book it!

Quick anniversary getaway

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was very clean and cozy. We were able to easily walk downtown to shops and dining. Perfect amount of space for couples. We would return!

Tranquility near downtown.

This property was kept in top notch condition. Many of the original features of the home are still intact adding to the nostalgic value of the stay. The bed was super comfortable! It was an all around great spot for our few days away!

Great little house

The house was very clean and had all the necessary amenities. I really liked that the bathroom was separate from the bedroom so we wouldn’t disturb my sleeping daughter when we got ready for bed. There are several steep steps leading from the road to the house so keep that in mind if you have trouble with stairs. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the afternoon and evening. The location is really close to the bathhouse row district. You could probably walk it if you wanted. We didn’t due to having our toddler in a stroller. Overall, great stay!

Stop on a road trip

Apt was cute and easily accessible to Bathhouse row, as advertised. Would recommend if stopping through Hot Springs.
