Your perfectly charming get-away in the center of the Texas wine country.

The Helen Louise House, located in a quiet neighborhood (city ordinance requires 10:00 pm quiet time), is only a 10 minute walk from downtown Fredericksburg's museums, restaurants, art galleries, shops, and wine tasting rooms. The charming 2 bed/2 bath house, built in 1950 and lovingly renovated and expanded in 2016, is perfect for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. You will appreciate the fully equipped large kitchen and wine bar, the sparkling clean full bathrooms, the light and airy screened-in porch, and the large and comfortable living room. Additionally, the property is fully landscaped with a large backyard complete with a 2-person hammock and the sound of a soothing fountain. Enjoy a picnic lunch or dinner outside on the shaded patio beneath a lovely, mature pecan tree. If it's chilly, warm up by the chimenea and watch the yard art in the hen house! You are welcome to enjoy exploring Fredericksburg riding one of the many cruiser bikes available in the garage. You'll love the small touches provided by us, the private owners of the Helen Louise House--from the bathroom amenities baskets to the wine and snack basket, your stay will be unforgettable!

We absolutely loved the back garden! The gardens were enjoyable and the bird feeders amazing! We particularly loved the flying cats!!! The sparrows gave us quite a show flying in and out feeding their chicks.We will come back!

The house was absolutely charming! Everything was neat and tidy but the amenities were fabulous! Our host thought of EVERYTHING: extra toothbrushes, corkscrews, soft throw blankets to sit on the couch with a cup of Joe, coffee, and the list goes on and on!

The property is in a quiet neighborhood and close to town, parks, and wineries. The kitchen is large and had all the utensils and pans to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. The three season porch was really nice to sit and relax. Bicycles are provided but we needed another day if we were to use them. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms well equipped. This is a very nice home and we would stay here again.
