We had the most perfect stay here - the pictures honestly do not do it justice! The outdoor space is exceptional and so perfect for our group of 2 families with young children. The pool area felt safe, trampoline was a big hit with the little ones (early morning before it became too hot) and privacy of it all made us all feel very comfortable. The villa itself was well equipped with everything you could need - we enjoyed bbqs everyday and every kitchen utensil you could need and more could be found in the kitchen! This worked absolutely fine for us however if you were hoping to eat out, other than the 2 places close by (all you can eat Japanese and very popular ‘grizzly’s bar’) the main town is quite a walk (especially in the heat) and we found taxi’s to be extortionate (paying 40 for a trip back from the supermarket with our weekly food and drink shop - hence not walking - which was a 5 minute drive). The host was more than helpful in the booking and checking in process. Our only comment would be that it would be good if all costs were included into the listing price, rather than added on at the end - as we did feel a little surprised with the amount we needed to pay for additional electricity and water - had this just been accounted for and built into the hire price it would feel a little less of a sting right at the end of your holiday. But overall we had a perfect holiday and would love to return! Thank you

It’s lovely to know that both families and the children were able to make the most of everything. 😊 We’re also very happy that the booking and check-in process went smoothly and that we could be there to help whenever needed. Regarding the water and electricity costs, we completely understand your point of view. We have chosen to include a set allowance in the rental price and then charge only for consumption above that allowance. This allows us to keep the basic rental price reasonable and avoids guests who use less having to pay for consumption they haven’t used. The allowances and conditions are clearly stated in the listing before booking, but we certainly appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration. As for taxis and the distance to the town, we understand that this can be less convenient without a car, especially with young children and during the hot summer months. In any case, thank you again for your trust and for taking the time to leave such a detailed and lovely review. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you and your families back to Villa Guapa for another holiday! It was a real pleasure having you stay with us, and we hope to see you again in the future!

Great location

The pool is by far the best one we have had in Spain. Large with lights and jacuzzi. Location is fantastic with the Japanese buffet only a few minutes walk away. Would love to come again.

lovely stay

This villa was great, our kids loved it. Lovely pool & jacuzzi. Check in was nice & easy and nothing too much trouble from the host. Would definatley reccomend for a lovely family break 🙂🙂

Perfect location

Lovely Spanish villa. Fantastic pool and area. Close to the main beech 15 mins walking. Choice of restaurants 4 mins. Owner quick to message.

Excellent

Best villa we have stayed in everything was as described in the listing. The pool and outside space was fabulous for eight people and air conditioning in the house was definitely needed.Hakim went above and beyond what was expected any questions were answered promptly. Check in and out were very easy would definitely recommend.

Villa very spacious, pool area very spacious, nice sized pool. Excellent location for Grizzleys bar, excellent food and drink and friendly staff. Walking distance to Calpe beach but may need a taxi back. Overall a very good holiday

An absolutely wonderful stay

The villa is great, particularly the pool area. We've been going on villa holidays for the last 16 years and this villa has the best pool area we've used. The location is great, being a 2 min walk from Grizzly's which is a lively spot with good food, and a short walk to the beach in Calpe with lots of great bars and restaurants. The agents, Anne and Mike are extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this villa and are already planning our next visit!

Amazing villa!

The property was beautiful and the managers and host were amazing, the communication couldn't have been better. They replied fast and were very helpful. My only negative was that the location was further away from things than we thought and we ended up having to get taxis everywhere as there was little to no public transport and with 2 children in the heat, the walking was just too much. So I would definitely recommend hiring a car.

Just finished the most amazing week at this villa. We couldn't fault a single thing about it. Communication from Hakim/ Ann and team was second to none. Highly responsive and helpful. We had an issue with the pool day 1 and Hakim had the pool man out within 10 minutes - all sorted! The villa itself is very Spanish and rustic inside. Very clean and despite it's rustic interiors, where it mattered most it was top notch. What looked like brand new fridge freezer/ dishwasher and washing machine alongside absolutely everything you need within the kitchen to cater for all. Bedrooms were spacious and the mattresses very good quality. Aircon in all rooms alongside provision of fans. Mostly not needed though as the villa is very cool and airy. All 3 bathrooms were great. The highlight of this place though is the outside space. It's massive! I have never stayed in a villa with such a huge amount of room. There's never an area where you can't get the sun or shade - catering for all. The pool area and pool itself were spotless, and the outdoor sofa set under the gazebo was wonderful - we spent hours up there! Sunbeds looked new and were comfortable and there was plenty of umbrellas too. Big dining table for outdoor eating and a fab gas BBQ just topped it all off. Walk into town and beach was an easy walk of about 15 mins. However having Grizzlys 1 minute from the villa we were able to enjoy good food and drinks on our doorstep on the nights we didn't want to go too far. AMAZING

Absolutely awesome villa!

Prior to our arrival, communication with Hakim was great, we were given everything we needed to allow us to arrive in the early hours of the morning. We were also contacted by Anne, who came and visited us on our first day to check everything was as we needed. She even tuned in the television to the English channels for us. The villa has everything you need..wifi, air conditioning in all rooms, towels, and even washing up items and toilet rolls (most other villas do not provide these basics- we have been to several previously.) The villa was extremely clean and tidy. The pool area is extraordinary. Location wise it was perfect for us. Walking distance to Grizzly's and the Japonese buffet and a great pizza restaurant called Madisa. We love Calpe and our stay at this villa made it absolutely perfect.

Fabulous villa!

We had a lovely week at this villa in July 2023. The villa is very traditional inside but ticks all the boxes with air con, dishwasher, washing machine etc. The outside space is fabulous. Great sized Pool and plenty of space to play games / eat outside. The only negative comments I have are as follows and are easy to fix.... BBQ was broken and not the easiest to use. Not enough large glasses, when it is hot you need a long drink! Pillows - only one pillow per person yet a lot of people like to sleep with two. Also, the qualily of the pillows was poor. All in all a lovely holiday and the host Hakim was extremely helpful and on hand at anytime to answer queries. Would definitely return.

Almost perfect, inside need an upgrade.

The outdoor area, especially the pool, is fantastic! - we missed a place to put the cushions so they stay dry when it rains. - the pool looks clean, but there was a greasy layer floating on it, that left a dirty layer on the floating stuff. Talking with the poolguy wasn’t possible. He didn’t clean the pool at all and he was very rude to us. The house is okay, but not great: - The kitchen could use an upgrade. - The bathrooms could also use an upgrade. However, the showers are very nice: warm with a good, strong jet. - The two large bedrooms are nice. - The two smaller bedrooms are too small for 2 people. One of them had a strange smell. And one bed was sagging. - Well-functioning air conditioning in every room. The contact with the owner was very pleasant.

Dear Els, we are very surprised by your negative comments because your first impression was so good. As we can read in all the previous comments, the villa was perfect both in terms of cleanliness and comfort. As for the swimming pool, it is requested to avoid this kind of problem to shower before swimming to remove sun creams which destabilize the chemistry of the water. Regarding the incident with the pool builder, we cannot be held responsible for the relations that you had with our pool builder who has never received the slightest complaint in 4 seasons. It is true that it is not reasonable in these times of drought to empty several thousand liters of water for a little sand in the bottom of the pool. The pool builder explained it to you, you told him that it is OK and you complained to me directly afterwards. The photos in the ad allow our future tenants to choose our villa with full knowledge of the facts. it is certain that it is not a hyper-modern villa but a traditional spanish villa with all the necessary comfort. i will end by reminding us that you and your three friends told us that you had a great holiday in our villa and that is what matters most to us. Great Villa in a great locatin

The villa was great for us, family of 6 adults and two young children. We had a 8 month old baby with us and some of the ornaments we had to move and with the glass coffee table had to watch her very carefully. Pleased that they provided a high chair and travel cot for the baby. The pool was brilliant but a bit cold and the garden furniture was excellent. The gardens surrounding the villa were lovely with plenty of space for children and adults to play. Having air con was a plus even though with the weather being so bad it wasn't used until the last few days but great to have. The villa is located close enough to Calpe beach you just have to take a 15 min walk (roughly) to get there with all the restaurants and bars as well. Only thing I was disappointed with was having to pay €150 euros for the cleaning? I was then expecting for either the bedding or towels to be changed after a week as we were there for two weeks. Having to wash their towels was not ideal. On the whole the villa was ideal and would use it again and all of my family enjoyed the holiday immensely. Many Thanks

Pretty impressive

The communication from Hakim was excellent throughout. Everything we wanted to know was available and the welcome from Anne and Mike on arrival was warm.The villa is very spacious, inside and out. The outside area is well established and interesting, and has various places to sit and while away the time. The pool area and gazebo is a great place to sit at any time of day. The pool is larger than most and even has a jacuzzi section. The location is great. An hour from Alicante, there are 3 restaurants within 5 mins walk and plenty more if you take a stroll (20 / 30 mins) to the coast. There are 2 large supermarkets 3 mins drive away. The villa is very well stocked with glasses, crockery and cutlery of all shapes and sizes.We didn't use the BBQ, but there are even two options for that!!!A couple of minor niggles:- on two afternoons the neighbours (5 young men who were only there for two days) decided that loud music was what they fancied. It only lasted a shortish time (2hrs?) but was rather annoying. Secondly, the number of cockroaches we had to deal with. They are a fact of life in Spain, but in 25 years of renting we've never seen so many across the duration of a stay. We dispatched half a dozen in the villa over the first 24 hours, then at least one every night outside. Very unusual. Overall though the villa was just right for the five of us and we had a really lovely week.

Hakim was extremely friendly, helpful and patient in resolving some booking issues we had. The property itself more than lived up to the description. It was clean, convenient, well equipped and well maintained. The pool area is magnificent and ideally positioned to have the sun all day. All in all an absolute gem and we would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Het huis was top! Binnen alles schoon en netjes, buiten echt super. Diverse zitjes, heerlijk zwembad, tafeltennis. Contact met de eigenaar verliep heel goed, steeds een hele snelle reactie bij vragen.

Top ausgestattetes Haus, es war alles in der Küche was man braucht. Sauberer Pool, tolle Sportmöglichkeiten in der Anlage. Grill auch super.Alle Schlafzimmer mit Klimaanlage, die top funktioniert. Bäder auch sauber.Lage gut, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten 2-3 Minuten mit dem Auto.

Genug Platz um mit 8 Erwachsenen Urlaub zu machen.Der Pool ist wunderbar groß.Es gibt auf jeden Fall Fall auch noch Potenzial zur Verbesserung im Bereich des Grillplatzes und der Gesamtanlage.Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passt.Wir hatten dort eine wunderschöne Zeit.

Magnifique séjour

La location débute par un contact avec le propriétaire, Hakim, qui s’avérera au fils du temps et jusqu’à la fin du séjour d’une grande aimabilité et très réactif. Hakim fait tout pour que votre séjour soit agréable À votre arrivée vous rencontrez Anne et Mike. Eux aussi s’assurent que votre séjour se passe au mieux.Et enfin vous découvrez la maison avec sa magnifique piscine, elle est propre, bien équipée et avec des airco qui fonctionnent super bien. La localisation de la maison est aussi parfaite pour découvrir les alentours Le séjour fut caniculaire mais on était tous ravis !
