The heart of the Gruene historic district, The Casitas at Gruene are perfect for small groups, couples, weddings, girls' weekends and more. The Casitas at Gruene includes private access to the Guadalupe river.




The Casitas are a five-minute leisurely walk from Gruene Hall and other live music venues, plus endless shopping and dining options! We are located less than an hour from five of Trip Advisor's Best Vacation Spots in Texas, making the Casitas the perfect place to stay on your next trip!




Each Casita features one bedroom, a private bathroom, a living room with a sofa bed, and a kitchenette. When you're done kicking up your heels at Gruene Hall, browsing boutiques, or floating the Guadalupe, come back to your Casita to unwind in complete comfort. All Casitas have access to the river, community charcoal grills, fire pits, and beautiful patio areas.




The Casitas are owned and operated by longtime residents of New Braunfels. We hand-picked every detail, from floor to ceiling, to create the most luxurious accommodations in Gruene. Each Casita is stocked with a coffee bar, wine glasses, fresh linens, and everything you need to feel right at home.

Relaxing on the River

Third summer to stay at The Casitas. We love just sitting in the river and relaxing. The kids like tubing the rapid at the property. We also like being close to Gruene. The Casita is perfect for our family of 4.

Wonderful beautiful property! We loved the casitas - the location is perfect. The path to the river is amazing, and it is a wonderful river spot. It is right in Gruene, but it is built so privately. The property managers were very helpful, and the place is just as it looks. If you have someone with walking difficulties the path to the river can be a challenge - however we rented a golf cart directly from the manager. It made getting down to the river perfect, plus we loved using it to go around Gruene and for floating. We will be back! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Great spot!

My two siblings and I picked this spot because it is on the river. It’s a steep hike down, but incredible spot and thoughtful preparations so we had everything we needed! Looking at booking more condos for the big fam and coming back

The Casitas are comfortable and very clean. The property is beautiful and the access to the river is superb.

Fun Times in Gruene

This was our second stay at The Casitas and as before, we had the best time. The Casitas are so nice and clean, has everything we needed. The walk doesn’t o the river was so beautiful and we had deer and even a fox run past us. We definitely will be back soon!!

Mini Vacation

We really recommend the stay thier at the casitas, we will definitely be staying there again. All the accessories you can think of were provided by the property. The restraunt, shops and bars were walking distance.

Short but sweet

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay albeit only two nights which we wished could have been longer. The best & most enjoyable time was relaxing on the river (actually in the river, we like to “bullfrog”) while listening to the peaceful sound of the rapids with an adult beverage. We had the river to ourselves in the evenings which was very peaceful & “de-stressing” which was the goal. CHEERS!

Wonderful Place

We stayed in the Coastal Casita at The Casitas at Gruene. This is my second time staying at this property. It is a wonderful place to stay. My sister-in-law stayed at the Fiesta Casita and it was wonderful, as well. It is clean, nicely furnished, and well stocked with whatever you need. The owners are very responsive with questions. They have wonderful river access at this property, too. The Casitas at Gruene are a 5-star property for sure!
