Hanalei Bay Resort overlooks Hanalei Bay from a tropical, lush 28 acres in Princeville. Beautiful ocean and Bali Hai views are everywhere on this property. Beach access is provided down a long, fair grade, paved path, and the resort staff offer convenient golf cart rides to the beach below. With four new artificial turf and two new hard courts as well as 6 new pickleball courts added to this world ranked tennis resort, everyone is sure to find their groove. Onsite restaurant, pizza oven, and coffee shop, concierge and fitness center, there is little need to ever leave!

New roof in 2025, this lovely condo is quiet and comfortable, with beautiful garden and mountain views. The kitchen provides all you need to prepare your island meals and the vaulted open beam ceilings give an open and airy feel. The Murphy bed can be put up to give a spacious living area during the day and then sleeping quarters for the night. The in unit washer and dryer rounds out this perfect place to stay. The resort offers an array of amenities sure to make your vacation special such as 2 swimming pools, multiple tennis courts, a hot tub, direct beach access, BBQ areas, and a fire pit seating area great for watching the amazing Kauai sunsets!

We were there right before hurricane Lowell and the host let us know the situation. We were able to contact the airline and make changes. The room was on hotel property which was extremely nice. We were able to use all amenities. Positive Coffee was a great coffee shop and their breakfast burritos were great. Happy Talk restaurant on the property had great food and an amazing view.

Tropical and Serene

The condo is in a very quiet area of the resort, offering a very secluded feel. It's very near a parking area, the restaurants, and pools without being noisy. Resort staff are kind and helpful, and very quick to help when asked. Being so close to Hanalei was amazing and I would quickly book a stay here again.

Kauai

The property is beautiful, it was stocked with everything you could need. Property had a great restaurant with a view of the ocean. Easy access to the pool/spa. Beach is walking distance down a hill, but property provided transportation to and from until sunset if needed.

Overall, a lovely location. I should note that the initial listing does not mention the additional resort and parking fees, which did not pop up until I booked the property

Great place beautiful location

The property management was great at communication. We got in late and the bed was broken so the next day we let them know and they immediately found a solution to fix it. It was a Murphy bed but was pretty comfortable for a Murphy bed. Place was well stocked. Great views from the patio. Check in and amenities great. We still haven’t gotten a refund of our deposit yet though.

Jungle Views at Hanalei Bay

Nice place overall

Place as described, clean, balcony with rain forest type view was nice to sit and drink coffee at. The unit did have a musty smell every time we walked in, but opening the sliding doors helped it go away. Great location and size for 2 people, having a full kitchen was nice. Only negative was that the hot tub was broken our entire stay. I understand things happen, but that was a big bummer as we enjoy that on vacation.

It is common in a tropical environment to sometimes have a musty smell, especially during the rainy season. Opening doors or turning on the AC allows fresh air into the space. Unfortunately, we could not do anything to remedy the hot tub as it is maintained by the resort. Aloha

Beautiful views and the resort is great.

I loved the location of this unit and I loved the property. I didn’t love the Murphy bed and didn’t realize it was a Murphy bed until arrival (that was more than likely an oversight on my end but haven’t checked the original listing) the bed didn’t sit level on the floor so had to make a make shift platform for one of the legs. There was a bit of a musty smell but as soon as we opened the doors and kept them open and got a fan going it was fine.

We found the condo to be clean and well furnished. The murphy bed was very comfortable and since it was just the 2 of us, we left it open the entire time and had plenty of space. It was nice to have beach items to use during our stay as well as a washer and dryer. Loved our stay and am considering booking in the future.

The best part about this cozy place is the view from the back patio looking over the forest and mountains. Close to the restaurant and pool, full kitchen, and washer and dryer are nice additions. We wished the restaurant/bar would stay open later, and the fact that the pool/hot tub closes at 9:00 pm every night is a huge disappointment. Definitely not a resort for night owls!

Beautiful place

We stayed in this condo for 5 days at the beginning of our trip and it ended up being my favorite place that we stayed on the whole island. The condo is beautifully done and has a phenomenal view. It was very quiet, yet had close access to the parking lot, pool and restaurant. The condo was well equipped with most things that we needed, which was very helpful. There are a few reasons that I did not give this condo five stars. Those are 1) we were not provided any salt and pepper to cook with (but other spices were provided), so we ended up purchasing our own 2) we were only provided one roll of toilet paper for our five day stay 3) condo is pretty much the furthest from the beach and the beach path is long and semi steep (there was a shuttle you could call, but when we did, it never came). Overall this condo was fantastic. I would love to come back for a visit!

Aloha Rachel,Thank you for taking the time to post a review from our request.  The unit 1558 is a great and nicely remodeled unit and we are happy you did comment on it.  The views are exceptional of the surrounding mountains!  Typically the condo is supplied with 2 extra toilet paper rolls.  We were surprised to hear you only had one roll of TP and wish you would have called so we could have brought you more.  We are here to help.  You mentioned the beach access which is a rare amenity in Princeville and this resort is lucky to have this great option.  We do hope you can come again in the near future.

Love Kauai and HBR

Love Kauai and the Hanalei Bay Resort was wonderful. Of course the condo is a studio but worked fine for just us two. The dining table with chairs and a benchmark was a useful area without crowding the relatively small space, as was the nice size couch, although a bit soft. The queen Murphy bed was a bit firmer than we prefer but not a deal breaker. Kitchen utensils were sufficient for us with nice appliances, as indicated. The balcony table and chairs are comfortable making a very pleasant place to enjoy the trees and distant view while listening to the birds, which are not shy about begging. Couple of beach chairs was nice to find in the closet with a cooler but no umbrella, which you can rent for $8 down in Hanalei outside by the Big Save. While the resort and other fees do add up, all was disclosed and we had a great time on and off the property, and so we will certainly come again. Aloha and Mahalo! Eric & Kim
